  • The map has tons of strong windows. Survivors in good position can be very hard to catch.

  • There may be arguments that Legion and/or Plague are the most obnoxious, but at least they can be countered with smart play. A good Nurse is currently close to unbeatable.

  • Definitely gotta be Nemesis and Legion for me.

  • Good job on collecting these statistics.

A 11% increase in deaths feels about right from my own personal experience. Probably healthier for the game this way frankly.

  • Nemesis, Demogorgon, and Blight are my favorites because chase feels super interactive against them and you often get the chance to make good plays.

  • Because why do work when they added 50 seconds to the survivor objective time but added 0 seconds to the people dying on hook time?

  • As someone who has played around 400 hours of survivor (and 200 as killer), Nurse is the only killer in the game where it feels like there is almost nothing you can do to realistically avoid getting hit. She is basically the killer equivalent of dbd cheat codes. She deserves to be brought down a peg or two.

  • I was under the impression that OTR is not a one time use perk like DS.

  • Yeah, I think these changes are mostly for the better. A few things to iron out in the PTB, but otherwise good.

  • Pretty good read of the situation that deserves a bump I think. As I read the changes, I quickly realized that the increase to gen times while not introducing any serious anti-camping measures was going to be very problematic.

What are survs supposed to do against a Bubba who gets someone in basement less than 45 seconds into a match? Especially if said bubba runs deadlock, thana, DMS, etc.? Survivors are down 50 extra seconds on generators when this patch goes live in this scenario.

  • Spine Chill got nerfed into oblivion, at least how I interpreted it. No more vault speed was a fine change to make because the perk isn't supposed to be about better chase. But changing it to only activate when the killer has direct sight lines on you? Does that mean it no longer will trigger when a wall is between you and the killer? Or will it not trigger if a killer with undetectable is looking at you?

Either way, super unnecessary. People at low ranks use the perk to avoid stealth killers which they typically have a tough time handling at first. This nerf hurts those players disproportionately.

  • You might be right about the Corrupt nerf and Botany buff going too far, but let's wait and see on those. As for Saboteur, the buff it received was minor at best and was a fantastic way to implement a counter to scourge hooks, several of which are getting buffed, so you are definitely wrong there.

There are tons of larger fish to fry than any of these three perk changes anyhow.

  • They should just take away the i-frames. That way, if a survivor gets cornered, they can't do silly stuff like DH through you to escape, or get a second chance even though you were already 90% through the attack animation before they hit E.

  • DH certainly needs a nerf. Boons in general should be changed to token perks, one token per boon perk equipped. Each token allows you to boon one totem, so once your tokens are gone, no more boons. The weaker boon perks (aka not COH) could get buffed to balance this.

The issue with nerfing BT, DS, and IW is that those perks are simply the only way to alter a significant aspect of the game. I would rather see the game changed to make these perks less necessary than for the perks themselves to receive nerfs.

Killer-wise, I personally dislike NOED. The speed buff seems unnecessary. I get that they need a scaling value, so why not smaller terror radius instead? Most of the other killer perks seem fine to me.

Mostly, I think they should rework some of the clearly bad perks (sole survivor, monstrous shrine) to make them more interesting/playable.

  • You all are right, but the game has worked mostly fine over the past 8 months since I started (with occasional issues) until the last few days when this has been happening, so while I suspect windows 7 has something to do with the problem, I think maybe there could be something else more fixable involved as well.

Unfortunately, like I said, this PC is very old. It literally won't allow me to update it to windows 8+, I've tried. It doesn't go well.
