Well, I did his adept without understanding his power or what his perks or add-ons do. My add-ons I chose by looking at what a bigger streamer used for him. Map was Hawkins (I always get lost here) and my survivors were a moderately experienced team with everyone running WoO + Lithe for chase and Deja Vu for gens.
Sooo… Let me tell you. I ate many pallets. Missed PLENTY of spear throws. Went into power when I wanted to pick up a downed survivor at least twice. Teleported about everywhere but where I was trying to teleport. Somehow moried one of them even though I was certain he wasn't on second hook yet? Got lost. Accidentally teleported up on the second floor and had to take the walk of shame back down. Went into power mid-chase and managed to lose my survivor because I struggled to get out of power. Missed more spears. Forgot to pick up new spear. Went into power when I wanted to break a pallet…
And yet I somehow got my adept. Partly thanks to altruism, I admit that. Since the last two wouldn't let the other die.
Still. If people say Jason is forgiving, then yes. He is incredibly forgiving. I had a horrible time playing him and have sworn to never touch him again. By all rights I should have gotten demolished in that match and I still don't know what happened most of the time.
Now as survivor I have only faced him a few times. And the one thing I really would like to see changed about him is that there is literally no way to know where he is. Not where he can show up or teleport to, but where he is currently moving around. Something similar to Wraith's heat shimmer thing. Just something to actually react to. It seems like he gets all the information while survivors are flying blind.

If TCM has taught us anything, then that a proximity chat is a terrible idea. Especially if you cannot mute the other players. You will have people with terrible microphones or that have music/the TV/their family in the background. And even though I am an EU player I am not even bringing up the entire language issue first.
That comes now. Because languages exist. Not everyone speaks English, especially on the EU server. Am I keen to get insulted by some Russian players because I am wearing my flags? Not really. That already happens enough in EGC. The amount of languages and cultures that clash on EU may surprise you.
Anything VC related would require a lot more servers dedicated to various languages first.

I have been playing in a killer duo with a friend a lot this time and we have made our own observations.
Against a team with no coordination/communication a game quickly turns killer-sided. Against a full SWF you have to accept that the game is over in three minutes and you got maybe four hooks in.
Survivors have A LOT very powerful tools at their exposal. Literally just timed a first gen pop after 34 seconds. They can get rid of hook stages, rebuild pallets and as killer you are generally screwed if you can't end a chase in less than five seconds because you risk having your injured survivor suddenly flanked by their friends for a drive-by heal + speed boost. All things that happened and left us baffled.
And when you dare to play as efficient as possible and work together for quick downs, they complain and insult you because how DARE you work together to avoid getting looped around four rocks with three pallets and a nearby window for the entirety of the game.
Don't get me wrong, playing killer in this mode with a friend is plenty of fun and we have been collecting incredible clips. But you have to be able to accept a defeat. And being faced with sore winners. Though… That's also just DBD.

I mean, he has a massive ego, of course he needs to have the biggest terror radius in the game.
But no. Wesker isn't bloated, he is incredibly well designed and is quite counterable. You get a clear sound notification when he readies his bound (his nasty little chuckle), giving you plenty of time to check his position and get ready to dodge. If Wesker can't hit his bound, he can't infect you. And his entire infection mechanic is tied to him hitting this bound.
Insta-down? Again tied to infecting a survivor first, THEN the survivor has to not use a spray for over a minute. So that part is completely deniable and yet again tied to how the survivor plays. And if you're worried about killer instinct? Don't spray right next to him. You mentioned his massive terror radius. It's easy to tell how far away he is from you. You literally control where and when you trigger his killer instinct and trust me, if you're far enough away or he's in chase/hooking someone/found a shiny corner to practize his hugtech on he won't bother coming for you. Also: Heal first, THEN spray. Don't tell him where you are before you let your team mate heal you. Heal > Spray > Run.
Hitting one survivor into another also doesn't happen often unless you specifically target unhooks. There's an achievement for that for a reason.
Many parts of his 'kit' depend on how the survivors play and act. Learn to dodge and pay attention where and when you spray. It's very hard to run out of spray cans and usually requires a Wesker to deliberately play towards achieving that. And the ones that do are often the meme-y type or are in a meme-y mood.

I wasn't a fan of the first Lights Out already and while the candles are a slight improvement and I love that they replaced AFK crows with bats it's still not winning me over. Only put up with it until i finished the tome and now am eagerly awaiting the return of Chaos Shuffle. My favorite modifier of them all.
As survivor it's….. well. It is. A bit sad that most people decide to play stealth killers or Dredge just to be MORE stealth or make the game even darker. Which to me is admittedly a boring choice. The one fun game I had was against a Nemesis. Because you hear his STOMP STOMP STOMP in the dark and it feels like playing Resident Evil 2 all over again. Being chased by Mr. X and only hearing him stomping around but never truly knowing where he is or when he will show up. To me that anticipation is where horror can truly shine. But aside from that it was miserable. Didn't bother to pick any of the escape challenges for good reason.
As killer it's just too easy. The Dracula challenges were a bit harder since I'm not that great with him yet and I purposely opted to play wolf-only because I loved the mental image of the survivors seeing this red-eyed canine suddenly showing up from the shadows. The other challenges I obviously played as Wesker. There's nothing more fun to me than picking the killer with the biggest (ego) terror radius and taking that away. Which can make him look like a very angry survivor running at you when you're not paying full attention. So yeah. I went a bit for the memes as killer, but that was mostly because I know A LOT of the other killers are sweating buckets and barrel into their survivors that are just cheerfully raising their candles at each other to slug them all within the first thirty seconds of the game.
On a much more personal note I also must add that this mode literally hurts my eyes after playing it for more than a single round. Yes, it's Lights Out. Yes, it's meant to be dark. But holy shoot, it turns into a strain on the little eyeballs quickly and I don't enjoy experiencing physical pain while playing a video game. Hence the mode isn't for me. Did my challenges and moved on. Give me Chaos Shuffle!

Love that they justify their nerf for Distortion by pointing out the actual problem:
***
Dev note: Distortion counters a lot of Perks & Add-Ons. The token system and recharge mechanic makes Distortion far too effective and allows Survivors to go unseen for the entire match.***
This perk wouldn't be this popular if there wasn't aura reading for literally everything in this game by now.
Load into the game? Aura revealed.
Walk past a totem? Aura revealed.
Heal? Aura revealed.
Are you anywhere near a locker? Aura revealed.
Item on the floor? Aura revealed.
Someone gets hooked/unhooked/killer kicks a gen/you vault/you exist a little too obviously? Aura revealed.
There's more, yes, and I don't have to list everything for anyone to understand I hope. I just feel that maybe aura reading as a whole needs to be looked at before we completely slaughter the one perk survivors have at their exposal. Obviously if 'one perk counter too much', then there is 'too much to counter'.
And before anyone cries, I play both. I don't use Distortion and I don't use aura perks on my killer. As killer I shouldn't be relying on these to track down a survivor. Not with the amount of tools I already have at my disposal. From my own eyes and ears to the little things like scratch marks, crows and Killer Instinct - which as we all know has zero coutnerplay. And all this I get without using any perk slots, hurray!
Maybe we see the return of Shadow Step and boons now tho. We will see…

I played it until I finished the current tome page and am not touching it until the new page is up tbh.
Yes, it's fun to play killer with my housemate who usually hates playing killer, but the killer selection is too limited. More importantly: Limited to killers neither of us enjoys to go against or touches unless we have a challenge for them.
Personally I don't really see the chaos in it aside from the chaotic matchmaking and players running around like lost little ants at the start of the match. The rest is very predictable since powers and classes are predefined. You know exactly what to expect once you have read and understood the different skills for each role/killer. When the Scouts do their job right, survivors have constant aura reading on the killers and killers have nearly constant aura reading on the survivors in turn. And because everyone loathed remote hooks during the anniversary, they are back here with a somewhat different animation. To top it all off, we can't even progress our ranks in this mode. So at the end of the day it comes down to killers trying to have a slaughterfest and survivors attempting to genrush as fast as possible.
Don't get me wrong, it's great that people enjoy it, but it's not really for me. I much rather prefer Chaos Shuffle. Where we at least had all killers and all maps and no one knew what to expect until they loaded into a match. That's the mode I hope to see return one day.

I love this modifier and haven't played the regular mode since it's been out. It's just much more enjoyable and winning as killer or escaping as survivor often feels much more earned after figuring out your perks and how to get the most use out of them. It's great fun and I will miss it once it's gone, yet I can see why they made it a time limited thing for the time being. Of course I hope we see it return.
In comparison, I only played three games of My Little Oni and maybe five games with Lights Out before losing interest. Those game modes were way too one-sided and considering the upcoming 2v8 mode is limited to 5 killers… Yeah. I might look at that one once. The chance of getting a Hillbilly every match is way too high for my liking.
-
I found this game mode much more relaxing and balanced than regular DBD tbh. What it shows is how skilled a player is in the actual game without relying on certain perks from the start. Of course it's not a slaughterfest like Lights Out or the Oni modifier have been and I'm happy about that. Lights Out as killer felt like shooting fish in a barrel. Now I have to utilize my skill, my killer's power and whatever perks I were given and play well to earn my victory. In a way it's also a great modifier to improve yourself with. Literally the best modifier.

In my opinion if I play bad, I don't deserve a kill. That's why I don't bother hard camping endgame hooks. The killer may not have anything else to do but to attempt to secure their kill, sure. But that doesn't mean they automatically deserve it merely because they loaded in as killer. Survivors load in as survivors and also don't automatically deserve to survive.
Being outplayed is fine. Your opponents simply being better is fine. We always expect survivors to automatically accept this, yet killers often struggle to do the same. I can face an incredibly skilled killer when I play survivor AND I can get matched with incredibly skilled survivors while playing killer. Some of us seem to never have learned how to lose a game...
-
I'm not someone that cares much about whether a map is favoring one site or the other, this is simply my favorite map in the game and I enjoy playing it as killer as well as survivor. But maybe I'm just weird. I enjoyed the old RPD and since the split West is the side I favor.
West Wing = Best Wing.

We already have two Resi killers with everyone's favorite Wesker being ingame~
And there are Hunk and Birkin as legendary skins for Legion & Blight. Capcom seems quite happy to have Resi representation, but from what I heard DBD is pretty popular in Japan anyway. Though I have also heard that some people don't want more Resident Evil characters in the game to avoid that DBD turning into a RE game. Soooo.... Only time will tell, I suppose. Wesker came as a pretty sweet surprise and you never know what they are working on or who they may be bringing in next.

It may not be intentional, but that's precisely why BHVR should listen to this kind of feedback. It's often these lesser known cultural and subcultural meanings that matter. And everyone brushing it off apparently needs to read up again on what the Nazi regime stood for and then ask themselves if this type of symbolism has any place in DBD.
Spoiler: The answer is no.

"I tunnel because you gen rush."
"We gen rush because you tunnel."
That's two sides of the same coin and one leads to the other and now no one is happy with the most effective tactic available for the other side because that's what these are. That's what nerfing too many other aspects of the game into the ground has brought us to. So maybe we need to stop nerfing everything we aren't happy with and instead make other playstyles be fun and viable again.
Tunneling simply is too effective, gets rewarded way too much and generally is easier done than gen rushing since the killer doesn't need to coordinate with an entire team often compiled of entirely random people.
Meanwhile getting into chase as survivor barely gets rewarded at all. Hence it's no wonder that stealth builds and gen rush ninjas are becoming more and more common. Often you even get punished for getting into chase by being tunneled out ASAP only to lose a pip to 'buy your team time'.
What punishment is there for tunneling? Literally none. Old hatch used to punish it really well, but that has been nerfed and keys have become the most useless item in the game.
One thing I really think needs to change is that de-pipping needs to go. If only to take away a bit of the sour taste of being tunneled out and making the player feel less punished for 'being found first'. If the player is in for a short game already there is no need to punish them even further. Will that fix anything? No. But it would give one less reason to be salty about a bad match.

Have you checked your in-game inventory (like, on Hag and Elodie characters themselves)?
Because outside of claiming from Twitch notification and confirming it on BHVR account page (which you both already did, judging from screenshots) - you don't really need to do anything else to get the rewards, they should already be on your account. There is a chance that you won't get a proper Twitch pop-up upon logging into the game, but the weapon and sweater should be in your characters' inventories regardless of it.
Thanks for pointing that little detail out to me. I know I meant to check the character's ingame inventory, but got distracted by having to fight a malfunctioning office chair. Just typical Saturday morning stuff.
I guess it's the lack of ingame notifications that threw me off, tbh, so thanks for pointing out that those aren't necessary.
Élodie is ready to face the Void. And Hag.... Well. I don't play her, but she got some candy <3
Not gonna lie, tho, I remain curious about what happened here...

Wesker. I didn't really play killer at all before he came out because I found it too stressful. Neither have I ever played any of the RE games. Then Wesker released as killer and he just... Looked so goofy with his sunglasses and silly tentacle worms that I decided to play him a little. Without putting any BP in him and only running a single perk, which ended up to be Lightborn Tier 1. Because the man was born with sunglasses.
I reached Killer Iri 1 for the first time ever while playing Wesker on lvl 1 with only Lightborn Tier 1 equipped and had a blast. For once I had fun playing killer with this weird middle-aged man from a canon I never was interested in touching.
By now I played through most of the RE games, nommed up them lore and got incredibly excited when the Birkin skin was added to DBD. Now I sometimes play Birkin, but that whooshy boy is tricky to control. Wesker, Birkin & Nemmy are the three killers I make sure to have all perks on while the rest.... Well. They exist. I sometimes try my hand at them for challenges or dailies, but they just aren't as fun as whooshing over the map, yeeting survivors around and just having your killer make silly remarks all the time.
Wesker also has great meme potential. Every time I load into a RPD and it ends up being the West Wing, Wesker has to go to his office and do paper work first and foremost. It's always a treat if survivors walk into me and just understand. Many help out and a few worked themselves literally to death, but that's just work life, right?
Anyway. Wesker is an awesome killer and I just love playing him. Though he really could use more outfits. Labcoat? RE4? RE4R? Uroboros? Much potential and I know a lot of people would buy them all XD

I was also selected to test this and I love it.
It prevents killers from dodging lobbies, obviously, but it also makes me go into a match a lot more open-minded because you literally don't know what to expect. You're not automatically avoiding the P100 player but they get to surprise you with their level of skill just as much as you get to surprise them. Which I feel is entirely fair. Survivors have no idea who their killer is. They don't see the player, the character, their prestige or loadout while survivors are laid bare from the start. So it's fair to at least hide prestige levels until the end screen.
-
I noticed this as well and got pretty excited. Then a team mate called out my p69 so I went to investigate since they obviously could see my prestige lvl.
So let it be known that I wholeheartedly approve of this change. There is no need to see the prestiges before the game starts.
