survivors should be able to earn extra time In the chase due to missed attacks 🤷🏽♂️

Killers earn pop goes the weasel.
They don’t earn 25% that’s an insane number that makes a huge difference in the game 😂 the current downtime between swings is insanely insignificant enough to have any kind of impact. Killers have to earn hits too don’t they? Well what if they miss. You dont deserve to hit them again shortly after. You missed.

You're aware - these killers are taken over by the entity, correct? The entity being a supernatural force.
You really need to stop. You're making yourself look silly.
No no no. The entity is the curator.

I wish i got all the maps you did and not some off the large one, you want killers to have a longer cool down when they miss a attack why not give survivors one when they miss a skill check, when there healing someone and they miss a skill check it takes 25% off the bar and change the DR skill checks back to if you miss a skill check when snapping out off it you go back to zero and have to start again.
You say there is nothing to set the killer back well that is also true for the survivors, so would you be happy with that if they made the cool down longer to set the killer back they did the same to survivors?
That’s not true for survivors they definitely have set backs on their objectives. killers have Pop goes the weasel. It keeps gens in check as long as you can keep finding survivors which... I believe they give you plenty of perks and abilities and add ons to find them with ease.

Killers are technically not human. They're humanOID. There's a difference. They're basically mutants. Human at one time, no longer human. Much like Jason Voorhees - who is basically a supernatural zombie with super strength.
yeah well what about legion? clown? Ghost face? Pig? I’m sorry they didn’t give these killers steroids before the match. They didn’t give them crazy pills. Not all of them are really even mutants stop it lol this is a video game anyways. If we want to talk realistically maybe you have a case. But no, it’s about Balance. Jesus Christ the killers don’t need to mow you down when they find you. It’s already ridiculously easy to find them. That’s not fun for survivors.

Also survivors need a stamina system because they shouldnt be able to run forever. Also they should occasionally slip and fall down to the ground.
Then neither should killers because they’re human too. Think about things before you say them 😉 also that would make it quite difficult to run the killer. It would make it So much easier than it already is for the killer to do his job. Ridiculous statement when the topic of this post is talking about penalizing those who make mistakes. Not changing things players have no control over and will inevitably effect them every game. 🤦🏽 It’s absolutely an acceptable thing to raise question about penalizing the killer if he misses during the chase. You’re granted many different ways of one hit downing a survivor, OP ad ons, moris... therefore the value of a hit goes up. It should matter if you hit or miss during a chase.

This is the most entitled post I've read here in a while.
They do have a cool down if they miss. There's perks to negate some of it, but there is a cool down, and a slowdown. Asking for it to be any more would break the game. If you can't get enough distance after they miss a swing to get to a pallet, either there's no pallets left on the map or you're just not that good.
It’s not entitled at all. I play both sides it’s not difficult playing killer on a lot of these maps. They’re so small and if you use the right perks on the right killer it gives you such an advantage over the 4 combined literally every single game. Lack of cool downs in between hits is just a small detail that I have noticed for a long time. Once again this is not entitlement. You sound like an entitled killer main that watches the forum closely and cries out to defend against anybody that bashed on the killer. There’s a few things I’ve noticed and this is one of them that always puzzles me. How I can miss and it doesn’t do anything to set me back in the chase. Or how I can swing at vaults and land hits even though the survivor isn’t even near it on the other side 😂 as if it weren’t bad enough lag spikes at the windows give killers easy downs. The maps are all small to medium in size man it’s not difficult to play killer. It’s laughably easy.

It's not pointless, disconnecting on a down, etc, is about a lack of impulse control and temper problems. Players who disconnect don't always have the patience to even wait for a first hook and just disconnect and take the ban. So having the ban does remove those players who do it repeatedly from the game for extended periods. Players who instead wait for a hook at least have the opportunity to cool their jets before killing themselves and may change their mind.
The ban is absolutely pointless if you don’t have a way for people to rejoin. It’s doing more harm than good. By the way the game still has its freeze or glitchy moments. The most common one I’ve been getting lately is when you fast vault the game pauses for a bit. By the time you recover the killers got you. Screw the dc penalty. It’s not making the game more enjoyable to be honest. Survivors still just give up and hook suicide or stop playing and give themselves up. They need to make it fun on both sides. Survivors being able to fight for their lives better would be a good way to start. Too many dead zones, terrible pallets, short walls to loop around, smaller maps, not enough hiding, too easy to get caught. People give up. Don’t fight fire with fire. Put water on it by fixing the issues that cause people to DC to begin with.

Of course the game would have to be balanced for survivor to be first person, but imo horror games aren't as scary if you are third person.
Yeah that is true it would be scarier. But they would have to give survivors a 3rd hit before going down then imo. It’s too easy to get caught in this game as it is I don’t think it really would fair at that point. It’s already pretty bad how killers stomp survivors game after game unless you really communicate well and have 4 man squads. Survivors in this game are really weak as is. They need that 3rd person. They need everything to try and avoid getting caught because otherwise they don’t win. That’s just how it is. When Survivors keep getting caught they will lose every single game. First person would make it too hard to hide behind debris because they would have to at some point stand up to see where the killer is and then you get caught. Killers are way faster than survivors and down quickly so the option of staying hidden is crucial. Survivors need to win too you know. It’s not all about killers.

You’re quite wrong. These maps are small-medium in size and killers are fast enough to patrol the generators too easily. Add Mori’s and OP ad ons that down survivors way too easily and this is always going to be a killer sided game. Pallet count and spawn locations are usually not good in each game. Killers lunge and land hits around walls that are really small and vaults are almost broken in favor of killers. Especially with the lag spike you get hit with after vaulting that freezes your screen and gives the killer plenty of time to walk around and put you down. A lot of Killers are still really OP in this game. They don’t need Mori’s. Keys are essential because Restricting survivors to only one way to get out is so wrong. I think a lot of people would quit. It’s so easy to patrol gens that there are too many games where the last gen just won’t get done regardless of 3 genning yourself.
Mori’s are not necessary to win. I hardly use them and I do fine most of the games. 3-4K every game

Against average survivors? Sure.
But they aren't balanced at top level play. If you "put on franklin's and tunnel the key holder" what happens? You lose. Because the other survivors slam gens. Keys make it so you can't lose (as a team) just as moris do the same. Both need to be fixed because they both tip the scales too far in favor of one side.

OK well i actually took the time to read this blob. Here are my takes
- Huntress is pretty easy to counter because she is so loopable , here is a tip. Bait her at pallets for her to pull up her hatchet, she will then move way slower and you can run another 1-2 times on that loop, and keep doing this until she goes for an m1 then throw the pallet, windows are also very dangerous so you have to be careful
- Iri hatchets are op and so are moris, but iri hatchets and moris are on the dev's list to be nerfed so stop complaining.
- That's the thing, you say they down them too quickly and that just means your team isn't good, plenty of survivors out there can run a normal m1 killer for at least 2 gens if the killer doesn't break off, with the stronger ones like freddy or spirit and maybe even pp head you have to be way more cautious during chases. Requiring you to use your brain instead of me loop me stun killer me run to loop and repeat. Adapt to the high level playstyles
- Azarovs is hella killer balanced so no comment besides they should definitely nerf that
- Hiding all game is so boring just like 3 gens are, just one can be countered by every survivor while immersion can only be countered by one killer and that's the doctor
- Yeah 3 gens are on your team, your team should have gone to the other side of the map rather than doing all the gens on one side
- Map sizes, really, is that where you wanna go? When we have maps like ormond, haddonfield, disturbed war, midwich, mother's dwelling do i need to go on?
- What rank are you at for both sides and what killer do you use to consistently get 4ks?
you seem to forget That it is a strategy to force 3 gens. But imagine being able to force a 4 gen. 😂 4 gens lined up in a row on a small map like Azarovs. That’s a problem. That middle gens spawn location should never drift off into either side of that map. A lot of the Killers have good enough speed + pop goes the weasel to keep the gens under control when they are THAT close together. survivors can’t do them.
its not hard to down even the best survivors in this game -.-. I think when I tend to fail as killer is when they are too good at hiding lol windows are broken to me because you clear it with a fast vault and the killer swings at it and still gets the hit. Even though you clearly made it. The killers reach on the lunge attack is already ridiculous. To be honest I don’t think the walls are long enough because killers can lunge around the wall and land a hit through the window even after the survivor has cleared it. That’s What I’m talking about when I say it’s easy to down survivors in this game. There are too many dead zones where survivors are simply not allowed to waste the killers time. 😂

@Xzan said:
Okay let me go through it.
1-hit Hatches? Yeah unfun. Moris? Too.
Killers can find survivors to easily? Ever seen a blendette who knows what she is doing?
Azarovs Resting Place? Split up. Doing all gens on one side is the survivors fault.
Keys? Having a free "get out of jail"-card if you 3-genned yourself isn't balanced.
"I can easily 3k/4k!" - Yeah, most survivors aren't that good. Your point?
A blendette can’t do anything to counter screaming though 😂 infectious fright or dragons grip and you found her 😂
Okay clearly you have no idea what I’m talking about when I say 4 gens literally lined up on one side of the map. I don’t think you realize how game breaking that is even if you do the other 3 gens on the other side of the map. The killer doesn’t have to worry about going to the other side of the map. That last gen becomes almost impossible on a small map like that 😂 it’s even worse when you factor in how many survivors have already died by the time you get to that point.

Rank 2 killer. Bubba main. Camps hooks with undetectable. Extremely bad at looping and any other skills this game requires. Yet still on rank 2 cuz Bubba. EZEZ after matches.
I did this once. Overall i played Bubba like 5 times but he is extremely boring and i feel "special" for playing this killer.
In my entire time i have seen maybe 2 or 3 decent Bubba players, but most of them run around like headless chicken and search behind every rock to find someone they can hook camp. Not too hard to beat with a decent team that doesn't fall for him. But seriously, killers that do nothing but camp hooks. What a low life.
Billy can also one hit players but at least he requires a bit of skill to get a hit on a survivor and not a wall. Bubba is just so ... low and cheap. No respect.
I know he already got a rework but at this point, i would like to see him completely removed from the game.
Any thoughts?
To be honest he’s been one of the most frustrating killers to go against because it seems to me like they altered how sensitive his chainsaw is to hitting walls. I have played countless games against him where I hugged a wall and he’s using his chainsaw hugging the wall with me. I don’t understand why it doesn’t make him run into it. He gets free one hit downs basically. I can understand Billy’s ability to go in a straight line and mow things down. But at least you can make him run into things. Bubba can hug walls with you though? That seems broken.
-
It’s almost ridiculous how often I go into matches as a solo survivor and find that we almost never escape. How come Bubba doesn’t hit his chainsaw on the wall when I’m hugging it as he’s using his chainsaw attack? I can clearly see his chainsaw hitting the wall. He shouldn’t be able to do that. It literally doesn’t make sense. Just too many frustrations with survivors being too weak imo

Like seriously?? Why would would do that? How would you feel if all of your other teammates let you die on your first hook, especially if you were doing really good that match? It feels terrible.
It's even worse if they let you get to your second phase on hook or death hook and NO ONE is working on gens during that time.
Don't convince yourself that you're good at the game if you had let your other teammates die so early off in the game like that.
Easy solution : increase the time it takes to reach each stage so killers don’t face camp or proxy camp and are forced to go out and patrol generators again. It’s kind of ridiculous how killers just hover around the hooked survivor because they don’t have to wait long until you hit 2nd stage. They need to increase the time it takes! You might be thinking oh well, a survivor would abuse that. How is it that the killer isnt abusing that too though? It goes both ways. Survivors can’t abuse longer hook times anyways. You as killer need to do your damn job and find someone else to kill. What kind of game does that turn into if you don’t? Generator simulator where everyone just does gens because it’s impossible to do the hook rescue before you hit 2nd stage? Killers got it too good man I’m telling you.

Anyone who plays this game often and is in the community knows behaviour favors the survivor's words more then killer and for that I say it's not right but it is way more fair then if they favored killer since well killers won't complain about their killer being op all they would have to do is complain about a survivor perk that counters their ability like calm sprit against doctor and then it would kill the survivors ability to have a fighting chance but when behavior favors survivor it hasn't killed the game and I don't see it happening anytime soon
Conclusion I suck at ending these things but instead of going crazy in the comments talk about this like civilized humans because I want to hear what you think and hear your criticism but please don't be too hard on eachother this is just for conversation
Edit: made it easier to read
You’re so wrong though 😂 killers have it so good in this game it’s ridiculous. Especially if you’re going up against all solo survivors the odds of them winning are like less than 1%. Killers are so OP 🤦🏽 I play killer survivors get smacked every game. It’s too easy to find them, too easy to down them, too easy to kill them. You’re gifted Mori’s, powerful add ons and abilities and insane speed defending 1-2 ways for them to escape. 2 if they have a key so they have to get lucky out of a chest or bring one and they might not even get to use it. and you’re going to tell me killers do not have enough? Jason in Friday 13 has to defend like 5 different ways - two cars, a boat, cops and waiting out the timer in order for 8 counselors, including Jarvis to escape. Oh, and they can kill Jason too. Boo boo you can’t kill anyone as a killer in this game all I can say is get better. It’s practically handed to you on a silver platter.

Yes this system would make most things better. But be honest if they stacked up a multi HOUR ban with their faulty internet/system, then they should not play online games in general since they leave their team with one man less on often occasions.
I know dbd is buggy but in my several hundred hours I have probably been disconnected or the game crashed less than 10 times.
And having a stable internet connection is even a condition to play multiplayer online games and not the responsibility of the developer.
If people can't get access to that then that's their problem and if they still intent to play nonetheless they do so while knowing that they will potentially ruin the fun for multiple other people, which is partially selfish.
No the game actually crashes quite often now. Screen freezes and you hear a stuttering audio loop which forces you to dashboard. Even if you want to play the blame game with the DC penalty you still have to add a feature that lets you rejoin. It’s not really fair to put in a DC penalty without one because those ban timers can quickly multiply in length. How would they be able to do this without it being abused? I’m sure they can think of some way to do it. Maybe depending on what the situation was when you left will determine what kind of in game penalty you receive when you rejoin. Maybe a hook will count against you when you return to the game if you were in a chase when you left the game. You also would have a set amount of time to rejoin otherwise you receive a ban penalty. Or maybe you just die and don’t respawn and are forced to watch. This could also prevent people from disconnecting in the first place because nobody wants to sit through the agonizing pain of watching other people playing until the match is over. As for the killer if he chooses to leave mid match then he will respawn somewhere random or the same spot and just continue playing. Maybe issue a ban if it happens again a second time during the same match so it can’t be abused.
-
@rickyray101 said:
When is it coming back? It needs to be back bad!!! I haven't played one match with killer or survivor without people quitting.
Quite honestly it needs to be reworked so that survivors and/killers have a chance to rejoin. If they choose not to within an allotted amount of time the ban goes into effect. Any game that implements a dc penalty should have this kind of feature. Because it is unfair to the people that disconnect due to internet issues or game crashes and then come back and see a 1/2/4/8/16/24/48 hour ban on their account. That’s just about the most deflating thing to see as a fan of a video game where unintentional disconnects get you banned and keep you from playing the game you spent your hard earned money on for quite an extended amount of time. Makes you want to quit playing.

In general, there is no need to justify anything you use in this game. The problem occurs only with the playstyle. Everything else is entitlement. There are no elite league championships for this game, only tournaments that don't allow moris and keys for mentioned "shortcut" reasons. Other than that, an ebony mori is simply hard mode. You need to perform better and more cautious than in normal games. That happens once in a while but people are just playing normally, offensive gen pressure, revealing themselves because they think they can loop good enough and then complain when they got downed twice. Or simply DC. The entitlement behind that is "I deserve more bloodpoints, I deserve escape, but your mori robbs me".
The only problem is when you completely disallow one or more survivors to participate in the game by finding them first early and then mori off the hook for example. But as I said, that is a playstyle problem, not a mori problem. Everything else is entitlement. No matter if someone runs against Spirit, flashlights, moris, keys, Ruin/Undying, BNPs/PT... everyone will just keep complaining and calling it unfun, but that is nothing the other side has to care about.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1668873#Comment_1668873
You cannot count the hooks for that comparison. If you hook or mori them is the same, you need two downs on a survivor to kill him. That is a 33% reduction
You absolutely should count hooks. That makes up the majority of your objective. To acquire a certain amount of hooks. Downs don’t count because you can down them an infinite amount of times quit trying to dilute the percentages in favor of making the killers look like the victims here. Downs are not your objective lol. Moris reduce overall total hooks needed not downs. Besides that 2nd down is most often going to happen from tunneling someone off of a hook anyways which thats just basically handed to you because you don’t have to actually take the time to look for that survivor again. It’s called proxy camping. Moris are absolutely unnecessary and should only be in the game for pleasure. Not to effect the experience of your opponent. Keys provide a backup option to escape (regardless of whether or not that player chooses to be useless - that’s simply not the god damn point so don’t use that as an excuse) as seen in other games like Friday 13 where the counselors Are given many ways to escape. When one thing becomes too hard to do, you do something else. With maps as small as they currently are and gens squeezed together it’s pretty easy to find someone and then the next and snowball boom 3-4K every game without mori. Mori is overkill in its current state. Survivors don’t have offerings that allow them to complete their objective so why should killers?
-
@DetailedDetriment said:
I would say an ivory mori is justified, but for the people not in SWF the game will be boring as hell, especially since 99% of killers mori off first hook.
It’s most definitely not justified. I never use ebony Mori and I get 3-4K easy. Do you have a headset? Do you have map knowledge under your belt? Ok then... you’re fine. It’s way too easy to down people in this game if you need a Mori to get a kill then it’s definitely you, not the games fault. Keys provide an alternative escape route which is absolutely necessary in every competitive survival game. Friday 13th has much more ways of escaping. So don’t cry about a damn hatch or a key. As for Mori’s I would say the yellow one is the most fair. It’s an offering. It shouldn’t be that powerful. Survivors don’t have instant gen completion offerings do they? Why can’t they do their objective with an offering? That’s unfair.

Downing a survivor is still more work than literally nothing.
also, at least 3 gens? If you're the last survivor left, the hatch ALWAYS spawns. There is no other prerequisite in that case. Its normal spawn is dependent on a ratio of gens completed vs survivors remaining, where less gens are required the more survivors have died. But at 1 survivor remaining, it spawns open even if no gens have been touched the entire game. The rest of your argument is completely irrelevant based on this fact alone: It CAN require more work, just like a mori CAN require additional work if survivors bodyblock/heal someone after they get off the hook, the killer can't secure the hits in an efficient enough manner, etc. The comment was about the bare minimums of work, which is absurdly skewed in favor of keys since you can literally afk and nudge the keyboard occasionally to prevent crows and still use your item for a "free win."
survivors have to do 3 gens to use their key yes. How do you not understand the math behind the comparisons in strength that I am making between keys and Moris?
USING A KEY when hatch spawns :
4 survivors - all gens done
3 survivors - 4 gens done / 5
2 survivors - 3 gens done / 5
1 survivor is not included because we are talking about key strength. Not the hatch auto opening.
so in order to use a key at the earliest point in time it would be when 2 survivors are dead and the other 2 have a key to get out. At least 3/5 gens have to be done. That leaves 2 gens unfinished which is a 44% objective reduction
USING Ebony Mori’s
3 hooks reduced to 1 hook (and possibly 1 hit) after getting tunneled or proxy camped. Easy kill. Rinse and repeat. 12 hooks down to 4 hooks is a 67% objective reduction when you look at the amount of times you need to hook them rather than the amount of kills. The reason I state hooks as an objective and not kills is because that is LITERALLY part of your emblem quality/category score end of match in order to rank up.
-
Nonsense.
-
i have played a lot of both sides and I can guarantee it’s not fair for survivors even from a 1v4 perspective. The killer can absolutely down people so fast due to anti loop and speed it’s disgusting. It’s not even really fun for survivors. I can understand why they need that key. 5 gens is actually a lot to do when considering the fact that they’re all squeezed into a small map. I actually got so upset with how close they were on one map Azarovs Resting Place that, for the first time, I actually posted a complaint on this forum about it. I have never seen 4 gens lined up one one side of that map before all within line of sight of the hill I was standing on. How are the survivors supposed to do their job? They can’t. It’s just ridiculous. Complaining about keys.... please stop. Moris are the ones that need to be removed from the game entirely. Do your damn job as killer and put people down. It’s practically being handed to you on a silver platter and yet people complain that survivors have an alternate escape when it becomes impossible to do their objectives?

with a key you can do literally nothing the entire game and still escape with less than 6k points. you can't be handed a more free "win" than that, even with a mori you need to at least hook each survivor one time.
Hooking a survivor is so damn easy though. If you can’t down a survivor, hook him and then tunnel him into another down then Mori You might need more training at being killer. I easily 3-4K every single game because it’s so easy to down and kill In this game. A key doesn’t mean do nothing the entire game. Did You forget that the hatch opens anyways when you’re last alive without a key? You still have to do the gens lol
a key requires at least 3 gens to be done for it to spawn. That’s 2 gens they didn’t have to do and that’s the most that they can go without fixing. That’s a 44% objective reduction. The killer?? 3 hooks are reduced to 1 hook. Which is 12 hooks reduced to 4 hooks. That’s a 66.7% objective reduction. Way too much compared to keys. It’s not hard to kill survivors with some of the insane add ons killers have already. Moris are just game ruining at that point. Key or no key I don’t use Mori’s. It’s an offering slot like I said. I’m sorry wait... do survivors have an offering that allows them to instantly complete a gen after certain conditions are met? Why can’t they do something to impact their progression on their objective in the offering category?
-
They don’t need moris. The yellow one is acceptable because it is purely aesthetic. Something you can do for the heck of it. Jesus Christ it’s an OFFERING slot! It shouldn’t have a big impact on the outcome of the game. Killers are granted speed, abilities and add ons. They need Mori too? If you think Mori’s compare to keys you’re out of your mind. Keys are way more necessary than Mori’s. Keys require survivors to do more work than Mori’s to use them. A lot of games either franklins takes care of the key or the survivor simply never got to use that 7,000 bloodpoints investment. Oh but killers get practically guaranteed use? Pathetic man.

I triple hooked the other two because they were just playing the game normally, nothing stupid. In post game the duo flamed me and called me toxic for bringing a mori. So, I pose this question; is it unfair for one side to bring an OP thing but completely okay for the other side to? A lot of people compare moris to keys so I felt like I was perfectly justified in doing this.
Moris definitely outclass keys. Moris allow you to just hook one survivor which takes such little effort to do and then tunnel him when he or she gets off the hook. That’s absurd and quite honestly in my opinion ruins the game. There is nothing wrong with keys and that’s because 1) you can’t always depend on your teammates to do 5 generators. So an alternate method of escaping is absolutely necessary. The hatch doesn’t open right away when you’re last alive giving the killer plenty of time to hook the last guy and march right over to it and stomp on it in your face. Killers are already insanely OP

Maybe I've just been lucky, but I play survivor just as much as killer but I rarely ever see a killer actually properly do either of these things. Like maybe once or twice a month I'll come across one.
I know there's quite a few people on here that claim they get it constantly and say it's the biggest problem with the game right now and I honestly wonder if it is really that bad for some people.
Tbf some people's definition of what camping and tunnelling is can be very broad so I do take these claims with a grain of salt
That’s like every game. They may not always face camp. But they do Proxy Camp. Always some form of camping. As soon as you get off the hook the killer comes back. Quite honestly it’s almost too easy for killers to 3-4K every game unless survivors REALLY work together. Solo survivor you rarely get to escape. It’s funny to come on here and look at Killer players complain about nonsense like gen speed or DS or a key. Killers are actually the OP ones right now. So there’s no need to camp but people still do. I usually let the survivors get the hook rescues and it’s still really easy without camping of any kind. I think face camping will cause you to lose. But proxy camping is just a cheap way to play as a killer however quite effective. They need to spread out gens and hooks a bit more
-
Survivors are too weak! Solo survivor q is already unplayable lol not all the time do you have 3 buddies online to play with. swf isn’t even guaranteed to beat the killer most of the time. I’ve went against red and purple rank swf before it’s not easy, but nor is playing survivor either when you’re going against a good killer.

Since DS might be killed what are some other needed survivor nerfs?
Reworded to sound less whiny.
It’s actually the other way around 😂 survivor perks don’t need a nerf they need better ones. DS is weak imo. One time use it needs to be active every time you get off the hook! 60 seconds might be a bit long but every time you get off for sure! It’s a perk! It’s supposed to benefit the survivor. Pop needs a nerf then. Pop gives you unlimited survivor objective delays. Why can’t survivors delay the killers objective with a perk? DS works 5 seconds that’s not even long enough 😂

@Elik said:
I know dead hard is getting some hate right now because of servers but this perk is still very broken because how do you counter someone dead harding for distance to a pallet or window? I also know it's useless when in an open field so it's a bit of a problem. It's either the best exhaustion perk or the worst. What do you guys think? Do you play it? Do you think it's fair?
All survivor perks are incredibly weak imo. The good ones are a one time use or have little impact. Dead hard takes skill to use and timing by the survivor. Your job as killer is so god damn easy it’s ridiculous. You swing. That’s it. You’re given the speed, the abilities, the Almost guaranteed game ending offering called ebony Mori, and add ons that are ridiculously game changing as well. Survivors engaging in inevitably unavoidable chases with killers go down really fast as it is. You’re telling me you’re going to complain about a small chance the survivor can evade a swing when they already do enough 360ing you to cause you to miss? It’s a perk! Quite frankly killer perks are the most OP. Not survivor perks.
-
A perk is supposed to benefit you! Not simply delay the killers objective one time by 5 seconds. That’s so crappy compared to the killers ability to have an impact on the survivors objectives all game long!
-
Name one “one time use” killer perk besides the potential of it being a hex perk where the purpose is to delay the survivors from completing their objective 😂 there are NONE. They all are usable continuously throughout the match as many times as you’d like. Pop doesn’t have any limitations as to how many times you can use it. It’s bs! A DS stun doesn’t do enough. The killer is back on your tail moments after you stun him because the stun duration is so small. so why shouldn’t DS be usable every time you get off the hook? You guys are worried about how long it’s active for? Well, you also have to consider that it’s a perk and it’s a one time use.

That's what we want, we want the anti momentum part of it gone but the anti tunnel to stay.
The anti momentum is pretty BS.
The anti tunnel part of it isn’t good enough on DS they should make it so it’s active EVERY SINGLE time you get off the hook. That’s the point and it’s a PERK! It should have its benefit! Where are the killer one time uses? Hex perks? That doesn’t count because survivors don’t have REALLY powerful hex perks 😂 DS is by all means NOT as effective as killer perks.
-
Survivor perks are in the game for a reason and some of the good ones That allow someone to actually be able to PLAY the game exist as a one time use. If you think they need to be nerfed that would destroy survivors entirely. They need better perks!
-
What terrible biased opinions in killers favor almost every single time. Atrocious that’s all anyone can ever think about😂 killers are absolutely the power role in this game.
-
@Leachy_Jr said:
Why would you even think to do this? Like stop the "oh it's not final and it's just a sneak peek towards the mid chapter", no.
Why would you even think of nerfing pop without thinking of nerfing DS or UB.
It's pretty stupid to call the devs survivor biased, but when they do stuff like this it's hard to call them not.
This needs to be balanced out from both sides, pyramid is getting nerfed, his lose lose scenarios is what made him good, we'll have to see how he turns out though. Other survivor perks are getting buffed (thankfully none of them look busted) and now pop is getting nerfed with nothing to the survivor meta being nerfed along side it.
Pop is still going to be pretty good and usable, but just why did they need to nerf it in the first place? AND why not nerf DS UB in the mean time if we're touching meta perks?
What is UB? And omg you don’t even realize how bad DS actually is? Why would they need to nerf a one time use tiny stun perk? That’s dumb. I think it should be usable EVERY time you get off the hook. It’s a perk! It should benefit you throughout the game not just once. Killer perks last the whole match. You as a killer get infinite POP charges don’t you? Maaaaaan, Survivor perks suck! 😂😂 if anything they need better ones!
-
As for Mori’s I see no purpose for them. An offering should not be able to cut your objective down by a whopping 66.7% (2/3 or reduced down to 1 hook as opposed to 3) That’s the majority of your work that in my opinion you should have to do At least half of it! The key cuts down on survivor objectives at the most by 40% (with 2 gens not having to be done out of 5. *2/5 = 40% left to do)
-
I think keys serve a vital purpose in the game because it allows for every single person to have a chance at getting out with their life regardless of what their other 3 teammates have done to help out. As you should be able to CLEARLY see about this game, your teammates cannot always be relied upon for jack diddly squat. So how is it fair for that person to have to do 5 generators all by himself? Find Swf? That is not likely always a feasible solution. People want to enjoy the game either alone or with 1,2 or 3 other teammates. You can’t just give that 4th solo guy zero chance at escaping just because his other 3 teammates put him in that position and you as a killer feel entitled to that 4th kill. You’re not entitled to anything. It’s already too damn easy to down people in this game 😂 I’ve been playing this game for years! Both sides.

Mori's are more powerful, but keys are just as annoying.
A Mori can take one player out of the game very early. You get a survivor down twice before two or three gens pop, and you've turned the game into a 3v1. You can easily dwindle their numbers from there. It's almost as if a player disconnected from the match. It can have a huge effect. The earlier its used, the more effect it has.
Keys on the other hand, can be found in chests. Going into the game, you pretty much know if a killer has a Mori. Yesterday I had TWO games in a row where survivors found keys with Plunderer's, and had a two-person escape. Each time I was doing REALLY well. First time, I had two killed before they completed more than 2 gens! And it was on Ormond of all maps. Then they completed only one more gen, and they escaped through the hatch. Game over. Didn't matter how well I did in the match. Nothing I did mattered. Very next game, I was having another pretty good game. Had a strong three gen. One player out. Then two survivors made a lot of noise, I went to check it out, and they teabagged me as they jumped into the hatch. Nothing I could've done to stop it. "Bring Franklin's!" you say. Why? It's a waste of perk slot. And I couldn't have known they were going to find a key.
You mean the green mori can take one player out of the game very early. You are wrong to equate keys to moris. ebony Moris are way more powerful than skeleton keys. Survivors have to do ALL or almost all of their objectives still! 3-5 gens can be difficult to complete on most maps because they are small enough for killers to patrol them very easily therefore finding their first victim very easily. Then you hook the survivor and tunnel him or her as soon as he or she gets off and that persons dead? Just like that... in order for survivors to even see the hatch at least 3 gens have to be done. At the rate killers can find people and Mori them 3 gens won’t get done MOST of the time. Key vs Mori - Mori wins every time. Green Mori’s are more fair tbh
-
it does take a bit of effort and potentially some stress getting your 3-4 kills every game. But it’s certainly a lot more entertaining than playing survivor. It is Dreadfully stale repairing gens or running a killer that most of the time is going to down you really fast. Then you stare at a damn hook. It’s much more entertaining to do literally anything else with my time. Killers are definitely better 🤙🏼
-
It absolutely destroys me inside to see people whine about how playing killer is unfair. They post their pictures showing 2-4 survivors escaping on them when I know for a fact it’s their fault! Not the games fault. It’s actually worse on killers that fail as opposed to survivors that fail. Because killers have it way easier. The 3 keys to beating survivors that might require a bit of spending or time is 1) a good headset 2) map knowledge/experience 3) please equip perks that give you information about your next target 😂 all too often I see people post complaining and I see what perks they were running and I laugh because they had nothing that gives them opportunities to snowball or move onto another target. Which tells me they probably camped hooks the whole game which resulted in 2/3 ppl escaping..
-
I land 3-4 kills every single game as a killer. It’s not difficult. Quite frankly I think I could do better with higher mobility killers than the ones I usually play which is wraith and plague. Although wraith does have an add on that lets him be faster while he’s invisible that is nice!! But I think survivors need better hiding! Better perks! Better survivability. It’s too easy to find survivors in this game. That’s a huge problem when you consider how lethal it is for a killer to always be in the know in a game where survivors die really fast. You might think 3 hooks is a lot. But it’s actually not realistic to think you have that many chances in even half of the games you play as a survivor. It’s either a Mori after 1st hook, tunneled or left on hook until struggle phase because of proxy camping. It’s a joke how weak survivors are lol how most of the map feels like a dead zone with no cover no bushes bad pallets bad loops. 😆😆😆 do I really have to keep explaining Why the killer has the power role?

Woof, where to start here.
Firstly, this should be called 'Whataboutism: A Thread'.
Secondly, survivors that use keys generally grab them the second the game is about to start, so forget Franklins.
Thirdly, killers are absolutely not in the power role. Unless they are a 1000+ hour monster with all the meta perks unlocked, the killer is going to struggle if even one survivor is decked out. And that's taking SWF out of the equation.
Fourthly: Highly skilled...whaaa?
Finally: Strongest killer vs strongest survivors...give some tourneys a watch and get back to me.
The killers definitely are the power role. The maps are either small-medium in size and all killers move at a speed fast enough to get from gen to gen and easily find people. Some killers are even faster to where survivors really can’t do their job. Killer perks make it take longer when it’s already long enough. Killer abilities and add ons make it easy to get downs quick. It’s a disappointment in 7-8/10 matches I play as survivor. Usually left with 2-3 gens to work on by myself. Killers have it too easy if you know how to play them right. They are the power player in each match not just from a 1v1 perspective, but also from a 1v4 perspective (4 weak ass survivors with such futile perks to work with)
Distortion should be better than 3 charges.
decisive strike should be 1 time use available every time you get off the hook. Not disabled after a fail. It’s a perk.... that’s simply a stupid idea when you think about 5 seconds being such a minuscule delay anyways. The killer catches back up to you almost immediately after.
the list goes on and on. But I really do believe especially on smaller maps it’s almost unfair and not really worth the time to do 5 generators that are already boring to do just to get mowed down by the killer over some nonsensical killer speed and latency issues if you wish to call it that. However I think the hitbox is screwed up. You clear a vault and you still get whacked. Killers have insane lunge abilities allowing them to land a hit from the other side of a loop by lunging around it. If the loop is that small they need to fix it. Chases are already too short against some of these killers that have ez 1 hit abilities and add ons. It’s too much. Then you get hooked and proxy camped until the next guy gets one hit knocked as well. I play killer too, I know.
-
it’s such a childish thing to complain about. Must be 5 years old. Killers are the overpowered ones in this game by far. You’re just bad at being one.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, however, it doesn't make you correct. In fact you are quite wrong. Search my posts - you'll find out pretty fast I am a survivor main full stop.
Since you think I'm a liar - I'd say you take it quite seriously - otherwise why post? Who's baiting really?

Oh wait - maybe you do?
It is a game - correct. You are very smart, but let me help you a little.
Survivors were always complaining about killers and reverse. I found it interesting to see the other side full on and no at a distance. It 's great to have people see both sides. They might complain less in the long run if they did.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1639993#Comment_1639993
Sorry - i know how stupid that sounded with nurses calling etc. I guess for me, If I hit them again while healing right off the hook, it kind seems like bad sportsman like behave as they'll just go down right away again - no chance to run and be chase. Make sense a little?
I want everyone to have fun and sometimes, for me at least, I can't see that being fun for a survivor if they've not had much chance to play yet. So I wait until they heal and then I go as fair game again. It's just how I prefer to play - nothing against anyone who does different. :-)
Nurses calling is rather cool.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1639996#Comment_1639996
I think bad Behavior kinda asks for that. nods I mean like I said, how can anyone expect to do obnoxious things and have that not be responded to. You get what you give as they say.
Complaining about tea bagging survivors is not adding anything of value to the discussion either. Quite frankly it should not have been said at all as it is not relevant to the actual balance issues of the game itself.
-
The amount of killers complaining about nonsense is hysterical. Survivors are definitely the underpowered ones in this game. Every single time I play killer i get at least 3 kills. It’s not difficult nor do I really care if a survivor tea bags. What kind of thing is that to complain about ? Holy moly..... get it together people. It’s a damn game.
