    That would be awesome.

Give me, Hillbilly in a blues brothers suit with the hat and sunglasses.

    Now we're speaking my language

Oni, his add-ons imply he had a disabled son. There is a lot of potential to explore how his family relationships impacted on him becoming a monster.

Deathslinger too, I would like to see some cowboy adventures.

And Yoichi, because he basically is an OC from BHVR. It would be interesting to see how he copes with losing his parents.

As a slinger main I would love literally any content they'd throw at me.

I also wouldn't mind a Ghostface tome, because dbd's version of him is literally an oc too. It would be nice to know how he went from Utah to being a reporter in Florida. Granted I wouldn't want too much. In my op his whole appeal is the mystery.

    Finally, someone that understands me.

  • How to fix Trapper? Get that limp checked out.

jk (tho lowkey the animation does look wonky.)

Honestly, I'd just like to see a buff to that one add-on that injures survivors upon disarming. What teams will do is designate one injured person to just go disable all the traps. It'd be better if it could also put an injured person into the dying state. Keeps them from taking advantage of their injured status.

Other options could be exposed-related add-ons or something that allows you to see a survivor's aura for longer after they've disabled or are near a trap like some other killers have.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/337294/friends-leaving-dbd-how-to-adjust

This is literally my situation too. My friends who introduced me to the game over 2 years ago have all quit. Playing solo just isn't the same. As far as adjusting, nothing will ever replace that SWF experience so if you still like the game enough to want to keep playing it I would say play it here and there but maybe not all the time otherwise you'll keep being reminded how much better it was with your friends. Even with SWF the game wasn't always fun. There were a lot of matches where we just wanted it over and sometimes just played a different game. The matches that were fun were good memories and made it worth being something we would keep playing together. For solo que I think its harder to keep interest if you're going from SWF to solo.

I definitely feel you fam. Solo is great and all, good for getting challenges done. But nothing beats the silliness of playing with your friends. The absolute ridiculousness of queuing in as the same character, or attempting a meme build with the support of your squad- stuff like that just adds a whole new layer of fun to the game. Now it just feels like even suggesting we play dbd is taboo.

Not only that but I lowkey find myself being more critical when playing solo. Since it's not my friends, I find myself being more impatient and less forgiving towards other players' mistakes. I've never been one to be sharp or rude in endgame chat, but I've had to stop myself a few times before I let my mood get the best of me. With friends, I'm not like that at all. Last thing I want to become some toxic tryhard. Granted it's something I need to personally overcome, but I do worry if the isolation is having a negative effect.

There is one benefit to all this: w/o spending all night laughing and gaming, I'm able to fix my sleep schedule lol.

Did they at least try to get used to the new changes?

The matchmaking is weird when playing with players with different MMR score.

I played with my friends after the update and the games were downright miserable, The killers were much better than us, and we were confused as to why we can't finish the gens and why the game is over too soon. Most of us didn't change the way we played before the changes, or even changed the build to make it easier on us.

When each of us played on their own, the games have become much 'easier' because of better matchmaking and we were adapting to the changes.

The experience of each solo player is different from others for one reason or another, but once you know the changes and how to play around them, playing with friends is going to be fun like before. Maybe more challenging with less escapes but having fun is not only in victories.

They pretty much stopped wanting to play within the first few days of the changes. Some of my friends didn't even really want to touch the game when hearing their fav perks got nerfed.

When we first played with the update, I'll admit, it was rough. But that's always to be expected with change. A lot of them seemed demoralized by how little we were surviving (now looking back, a lot of them were against clown, which probably didn't help lol).

Tbh I tend to get more fired up the more challenging something is, so I started doing my research and testing out what builds fit better for me. I know every game can't be a winner, but at least I'm surviving some of them.

Pre-update, I was also the friend who was prone to being a 'tunnel magnet' lol so being tunneled out of a game is not something I take too personally (legit was tunneled out of a game once just cause my username matched the name of the killer's ex, no joke). But I think for some of my friends, with how quickly they were getting downed, it got to them, so they've put the game away.

I honestly hope they come back to it. Win or lose, I miss playing with my friends. We've had so many fun moments with this game. It'd be a shame.

  • I honestly wonder if DBD had more balanced matchmaking, it would help solve some of the complaints. And I don't just mean survivor -killer matchups, but survivor group balancing.

Killer is in honestly such a good place right now. I wouldn't count myself as a good killer by any definition of it, yet I'm coming out of games with at least 2 dead survivors; when normally I'd be lucky to get 2 hooks on a person. With the update, the game is better at punishing survivor mistakes. With the right killer build and map, you can make it a survivor's worst nightmare.

Solo queuing feels rough because you can be paired with veterans and newbies in the same match. In a game where skill level and knowledge are crucial to survival, it makes it unfair for either party. The newbie isn't given enough time to learn the ins-n-outs of the game; while the veteran plays with the expectation that the newbie already has this knowledge, and thus can offer no guidance.

Same can be said about the killer-survivor matchup. A new killer doesn't want to go against season veterans who're gonna flashbang every chance they get. Meanwhile, a new survivor doesn't want to go up against a veteran killer, who knows how to use their perks well.

I don't know if this is a controversial take or not, but I am curious to see what matches could be like if it had more structure applied to its matchmaking.

You seem like the type of person who would like the social side of playing with friends as well as solo.

Playing solo takes care of itself.

If your friends left, your option is to find another game you can enjoy together.

For horror asymmetrical, there's so.e options: VHS, HSH, Prop Nights, Evil Dead and some others that are escaping me right now (no pun intended). Evil Dead is probably the best of the bunch.

Or, you can just say screw it and go all-in on an all-time classic. And by that I mean VHS Porn Civ V.

I didn't know there were so many options. I think some of my friends might actually own Evil Dead. Might be worth investing in at some point. Ty for the suggestions!

my friends introduced me to dbd and i remember i would never play online and would only do lobbies with them and we"d all take turns playing killer & having a blast but just like in your post they grew tired of the game (they warned me about devs and parts of the community) in fairness they have been playing long time before they showed me the game.

personally i enjoy the solo experience/ single player so i didnt really have trouble playing without em. bummed 100% but i never let others dictate what games i want to play or play whats popular at the moment. plus i dont feel like talking when im gaming, im very immersive and being in a party and chuckling while playing any atmospheric game ruins it for me.

id recommend to give the solo life a shot i suppose???

Nah don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the solo q experience. Its just bums me out how many of them have like given up on the game. Some of them were already playing before I got into it, so I get their burnout. But a good chunk started around the same time I did. Kinda feels like everyone goes cringe if I even bring up the game nowadays lol.

But ty for your perspective. I can relate. I personally find it easier to focus when I'm not chatting. May seem childish, but I guess what I'm really missing is just being able to share a love of the game with them.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/337297/survivors-vaulting-after-being-shot-deadslinger-bug

The vault "animation" begins a lot earlier than you think.

Get a pal in a custom game and get them to bring an item. Have them run at a window and attempt to vault it as soon as possible. You'll see their item disappears, yet they still run to the window for a second before vaulting. You're hitting people in that window, where the game is moving them to the vault spot and are already "vaulting"

Huh, that's quirky. Helps me understand what's going on tho. Ty
