I have the same bug as well. Nothing at all works and it's unfortunate it wasn't aknowledged in the update notes.

Personally I suggest a way to recycle offerings or items you don't want, getting anywhere from 10-25% of the purchase cost back. Getting my Bill to level 50 I had about a dozen brown toolboxes and medkits, and random offerings I don't use. Plus, when you prestige, you lose all those items you acquired, making prestige even more of a blood point deficit. Being able to recycle the junk you can't avoid taking while leveling the bloodweb would be a lot better, especially given how many different survivors and especially killers there are to level.
