  • They have a full team, a good portion is specifically for the community, yet we hear very little from them. They answer on posts about who the most fashion killer would be, and not on issues that are game breaking. I have a post that I just made about sloppy butcher being a game breaking perk because it is bugged and either needs to be fixed or removed till it's fixed, got no response. I've made multiple reports about how pallets are bugged and can allow survivors to vault and run through killers and prevent the killer from being able to hit them, no response. They don't listen to us. You gave examples of things that they did, but they did those things because either they wanted to, or because there was such a backlash from the community that they had to. TydeTyme tried for months to get with them to fix core issues and got no where, I've tried to give countless bug reports that are ignored, all of which I have video proof to show what was happening and why. That's my point. Another example was you remember how they made a big fuss about threats, and how even if you were joking it wouldn't matter you'd be banned. Well I had one, reported it to the mods who each one agreed that it was way out of line and passed it to NotQueen, and she ignored it, the guy never got banned. Even though all mods agreed with me, she just didn't care. And even if this wasn't the case, lets say you're right and they do listen and that's what is making the changes. They still aren't communicating with the players. If someone says hey this is broken and here's the proof, someone should say something to acknowledge they've seen the problem and are working on it. I've watched plenty of the dev blogs, they go around issues that the players really care about, and ignore most of the feedback given to them. How is that a healthy communication between devs and players? When you have players and streamers that have been here for a long time lose hope on the game because their voices have been ignored, that's not right. That's the problem, and it used to not be this way. Back when I first started playing this game the developers did listen, I had mods that would comment on bug reports, mods on my friends list that would take player reports, take them seriously, and ban the people right away (with proof). Now you have people not even being banned for absolute rule breaking. Do you really think that's good for the game?

  • Also Tsulan, it's not about how many matches in-between DCing, what I've always suggested is a time ban that grows the more you DC. So some emergency comes out and you really do need to leave, I'll give a real life example. I have a roommate who is Diabetic, I've had to leave before because his blood sugar dropped, and without helping him, he could have died. That's an actual emergency, and that's a darn good reason to leave. However, I'll be dealing with him for some time, and if I'm getting a time ban for that time, fair enough. If you have to leave, having to wait that little bit of time shouldn't be an issue. However, if you were DCing just to be a prick, having to wait will start to get annoying, and the more you do it, the longer you wait, the more annoying it'll become. This is the negative motivation needed to stop people from leaving a game early all because they get mad. If you have a reason to quit, quit, this won't make any difference, but if you're doing it in poor sport, it will. That's what I've always suggested, and I feel the game needs. There's never any reason to have DC's left and right. To have a match where everyone leaves, or even just one person. To have them do it every 3 matches, or to have them do it every 10. It's uncalled for, and the devs should have done something about this a long time ago.

  • There is a difference, only with it being non-dedicated servers they can't be 100% sure and I see why they don't punish people for leaving due to that fact. However, if when things change they still refuse to punish DC's, that will be an issue I'm pissed about. Someone said earlier why would a killer care if someone DC's, watch Monto's latest video, "Adept Freddy", he lost the achievement all due to someone DCing. He lost out due to the development team refusing to do anything about this issue, and yes it's an issue. Tsulan said that a friend of his rage quits 50% of all his matches, how does that make fun gameplay? It's something that needs to stop, and the devs need to start punishing for it. I'm tired of having boring games all because some crybabies don't want to finish a match that they agreed to play. If that's the case, they need to not be allowed to play at all.

  • It's not a compliment. I came to play the game, not wait a long time in a lobby just to have some baby quit the game because they got caught doing something stupid. By leaving you make the rest of your team suffer being a teammate down, it'd be better if you just never joined the game in the first place than to come in and quit. I care because quitting makes the game not fun, it makes the experience garbage for everyone involved. If I'm a survivor I now have less chance to survive, and if I'm killer, I now can't have a game where I try hard and do my best. I play both killer and survivor, I'm a veteran at this game, and since day 1 DCing has been an issue that just never got fixed.

  • Well they claim that the auto ban after a certain amount of DC's fixes the problem, but it doesn't. If they are still quitting every game then it solves nothing, it's no threat. They should have at least a five minute timer for RageQuitting a game, at least. If they had something important enough to leave, then five minutes should be nothing, if they were doing it on purpose to BM, well then they have to wait. The more they do it, the more they wait until they get banned for it. That's a threat. CSGO had a 30 minute auto ban for leaving the game once during a ranked match.

  • No you're right, it's people rage quitting for getting caught, and instead of committing to the game they are in, they quit out and go to the next one with no punishment. It's stupid, every other ranked game has a harsh punishment for people doing that, and this game is like, nope it's fine. This is a ranked game that relies on teamplay, why they ever let it slide this much is beyond me. Now I know since they didn't have dedicated servers, it was more difficult to detect the difference between a ragequit and a DC, fair enough, but that's why I'm asking if this will change come summer.

  • Hey again Peanitz, and yeah stupid that the mods can't do anything anymore, they NEED to have mods for stuff like that.

  • The cheater, or the spectate bug? I'm sure they know about the spectate bug, it's been happening for a while. However, tbf, there's still the pallet bug that I've reported about 3 times with video proof, and that's not been acknowledged at all.

  • I can make it to rank 1 without trying as survivor. As I said in another post, all killers need to just go on strike for a day, maybe then the devs will actually listen.

  • It should have been like that from the start for both sides, killers and survivors, Idk why the devs are so hell bent on not listening to the people who actually know the game. I could probably solve lets say 40% of the problems right away if they wanted to take my advice, but they'd rather listen to rank 20 survivors instead of the 1k hour plus people who really know the game. TydeTyme has tried to make this game better for so long, why don't they implement what he's suggested?

  • The problem is that the devs don't really care what we think. I play both survivor and killer, but unless you are the majority of being a rank 20 survivor, your thoughts get skipped. These forums are a great example. I have 1k hours, I've been rank 1 survivor and killer many seasons, but you don't see that anywhere on the forums. My response is the same as any other. Watch TydeTyme, he's explaining how every time we take a step forward for balance, it's two steps back. Instead of a play killer day for the devs, how about a no killer day? ALL killers don't play for a day, or hell a week, and then they'll finally wake up and go this is a problem. This game will not work without killers, and when survivors are in queues for an hour because no killers are there the devs will finally have to take notice. I'm tired of getting stepped on and stabbed in the back every single patch. I played when the game first came out, killers were scary, survivors had to use their brains, and the game was fun. Now, survivors get to run around in circles, they learn from streamers that want to BM and run around because the streamers don't want to play stealthy, so the killers have become a punching bag point farming simulator. You may as well have an AI killer and normal survivors. Killers can't have fun and play say a wraith without being bullied all to hell. They wonder why they get Billy's and Nurses every game, it's because we're tired of all this BS. I'm fed up with it. Mathieu's suggestion was to play other games, maybe all killers being gone for a few days to play other games will finally make them understand, a killer strike.

  • I believe it's 90 margaritas you need for survivor first off, second, no it's not hard to get when playing. However, not everyone can play all the time either, some people have schedules such as myself. I work the night, am off around noon that I can play, then head to bed for work that night. I have a pretty small window while working to actually play the game. It's not hard to get when you play, but when you can't even log in you can't progress towards the goal. Having the event extended for the days people couldn't play is perfectly fair and not unreasonable. That's time that was supposed to be given anyways. Not only are people working for the event skins, that's a lot of extra bloodpoints for people to level up with, this essentially becomes a double bloodpoint weekend for the event.
