what are you even trying to say,,, Im literally saying nothing about kpop, literally at all? Im just saying this is something a kpop artist would wear, because it is literally designed to be? The problem is he doesn't look like a killer, he literally just looks like a person dressed in an edgier kpop style. Thats not speaking poorly of kpop or anything related to it

He doesn't look like a killer to you. *

He does look like a killer to me. I think he fits perfectly fine in the game and I enjoy his design. I don't care for all the 'grimy' things and monsters all the time, it's nice that he's different.

"You seeing PH as threatening is entirely subjective. Others can see Pyramid Head as non-threatening but see Trickster as unnerving and terrifying. It all comes down to personal taste in the end" No... inherently, a giant monster who has super human strength is inherently menacing. A kpop star or old man is not. Ive said nothing subjective this entire time, Im talking about genres and what makes them up. You can like whatever you like, that is subjective. But when I respond to every single thing you have to bring up, respectfully and in detail, and your only response is to try to find another angle or say "its subjective" to anything, then it feels like you just want to be right in an argument because you care about the character. There is no part of the character I dont personally like. Musicians can have great motivation, knife throwing is cool, the lore concept is really interesting. Its just not implemented in a thematically relevant way.

But if we are at the point where you are trying to say that Pyramid head could be seen as non threatening or not menacing, then you really don't care about logic, youre too obsessed with being right. Personal taste has nothing to do with understanding the genres, the precedents, the theming, or even logic (8 foot tall metal man with sword vs frail old man is not a logical quandary). If we're done here, we're done here. But don't try defending this mess of a character if you are only doing so because you like him. At least don't try to say that its okay to shift the entire genre of the game to fit him without a single reason why...

The other person is correct. It's all personal opinion to what someone thinks is scary. Just because YOU think it's scary or spoopy, doesn't mean it is.

Pyramid Head was NEVER scary to me. He's my fave character in Silent Hill and I shrimp hard for my boi. But he's not scary. At all. YOU can think he's scary, but I don't. I think he's badass.

As for Trickster, yeah he's pretty dang scary imo. Maybe cause I actually studied serial killers and how their minds work and etc. So a 'normal' guy that wants to do nothing more than torture you to death, is a lot more scary to me than a monster, that is fake and literally can't hurt me. But see, that's how opinions work. They're different! ;3

Trickster's good. YOU don't have to like him, that's fine. There are plenty that find him scary and enjoy him in the game.

I have the theory that this killer's only reason to exist is to attract dumb k-pop stans who would blindly spend money in the game.

I'm a kpop stan. But I've been into DBD before Trickster was ever around and Pyramid Head is still my top babe.

I like Trickster, not because he's a kpop idol, but because he's a crazy murderous human and not just another 'monster'. Also he is fun to play (other than the fact that he sucks). But maybe that's just cause I like range? Huntress was my main before Pyramid Head was added.

Thats why I would never be afraid of Trickster....because he is normal. He's who cops respond to on a normal basis. He's who our military shoots at on a regular basis. He's who ends up getting beat up because he was "caught lackin". You can shoot him, you can kick him in the balls, you can gouge his eyes, you can throw hot oil at him, you can out run him, you can over power him, you can lie to him, and you can trick him...... Because he's normal.....because he's just a normal ass, basic ass, will die from the most fragile things in the world like choking on water. He just so happens to love killing things. Big deal.....I've known dozens of people like that and they're all killing things legally in some foreign country full of people who also like killing things. And any of these tough guys in the penitentiary or overseas with a grenade strapped to their belt or serving in law enforcement having to kill people who love killing, would all bend their knees at the Nurse or the Spirit or Hag. You can't shoot spirit, you can't stab hag, you can't kick or punch spirit <---Nothing a normal human can do will stop these ghosts. And thats the biggest fear "Normal" humans could ever have. When something is after you, and you're completely powerless to do anything about it and no tools you could ever imagine can even stop it because it ignores the very laws which hold your entire universe in tact. Every other killer in this game can be shot stabbed blunt forced or lifted off the ground. <--If thats all it takes to get rid of them, they aren't boogey men....they're humans.

There's been plenty of Killers that were never caught. I studied Forensic Science, and how the killer minds work. Its a lot scarier than any made up monster or creature, imo. Just because he 'can' be caught doesn't mean he 'will' be caught. Also knowing about a lot of the things that go on in Korea and the things people get away with, it would surprise you. I think you're only seeing things as an American?

Being in the military (father was and was raised seeing photos from the war) or police force (uncle was and is), is VERY different than someone with a mind like Trickster, and it's extremely rude to even suggest they're similar.

And ghosts don't scare me because as a human there is a way to 'fight' them if you know how. So not concerned about them. Use to do paranormal investigations all the time.

Anyways, you're allowed to not think he's the scariest for whatever reason you want. But real people will always be more scary than ghosts, demons, etc to me.

he don't discriminate when it comes to do music. JUST SCREAM BASTARD

    Pretty much.

If he ever asks you, "Wanna make music together?" Say no. Just say no. xD

  • For me Trickster honestly.

Why? Because he's the most 'normal'. Just a 'normal' human that loves murder. He's not a monster or some 'super human'. And that scares me more than any monster, creature, or super human could.

Not even the people that love him (his fans) are safe.

It is getting ridiculous. Yesterday I played 3 killer matches for the dailies and after 2 matches survivors left messages on my profile.

First one complained that I toxic camped and tunneled, when he died on his first hook, in the basement, while I was chasing someone around the cow tree. He also said that i should uninstall the game.

And the other one disconnected on his first down and complained about camping, while the 3 other survivors sat on a gen.

People really started to leave toxic camp and tunnel accusations on profiles for absolute no reason.

It's almost like they don't know or care what those things actually mean.

I had a game the other day. I was still learning Trickster. Only had maybe two perks at the time still. Game starts and I run straight into someone, when I hook them I turn around and two others were RIGHT there. So I chase after one, and the person gets pulled off hook. No biggie. The map was one of the in-door maps (sorry bad at map names lol).

So using my knives was a little hard at times and eventually I break chase to get them off gens. I run into the person I had hooked, get them again and hook them in the basement this time. Before I could even get far someone has booked it down to them and unhooked them. I turn around and go back and chase the person that unhooked. (having Tricksters perk, I wanna hook them all at least once)

As I'm chasing them they lead me straight to the person on death hook. That person darts in front of me and gets hit. Sighing I just hook them and move on. It's down to a 3v1 but they're now at 1 gen. (one of them I never even saw) While they only had 1 gen, they 3 gened themselves. So I go between the three gens, chasing them off of them. But not giving chase after any of them.

Eventually they get a gen down and leave. I only got the 1 person killed that match. At end game two of them started bitching at me for tunneling. I was so confused cause I didn't feel like I tunneled. As I talk with them (no bad words from me or them) they eventually say I was tunneling the purple rank. (which was one of them, that got out) The whole time I thought they meant the red rank (who was the only one I had killed). To a degree I could get why they'd of thought I tunneled the red rank, even though I didn't still....But they were talking about one of them. I never tunneled them...and they all got out..like what? I don't get it.
