The main objective of the game for Survivors is to survive. You are supposed to do everything that you can to avoid getting killed, sometimes that’s cleansing totems. If Killers are using NoEd, and you and your team chose to tunnel the generator repairs, then you only have yourselves to blame.

Objectives are optional in this game. You can choose to hide the whole match with a key and escape when everyone else dies. You can choose to do generators. You can choose to loop the killer. In the end, you choose to give the killer power by not cleansing hexes.

Saying totems are not an objective is just word play to justify only doing generators and ignoring everything else.

If you fall to NoEd, it’s your fault. It is not because the killer is bad, it is because you are bad at looking for totems or underestimating them.

Thankfully, the Devs have stated that NoEd is fine, and that they are looking at making games last a little longer by looking at things like totems rather than increasing generators repair speed.

We can agree to disagree on the topic. As far as NoEd, in my opinion it absolutely is a bit of a crutch. Whether it stays like it is in game or not I don't really care. As long as it exists though, killer mains are wasting their breath on complaining about decisive strike.

The game gives Survivors two objectives, the first and main objective is to repair generators. The secondary objective which (is optional) is to cleanse totems. If they only focus on repairing generators and ignore totems, they’re rushing their main objective. It doesn’t take much time to cleanse totems, Survivors are just lazy and have tunnel vision. I have to question your level of education since you couldn’t figure that out.

Question all you like. Doesn't bother me a bit. If you want to throw totems in there go right ahead. Totems aren't going to open those doors. Hence why most survivors do gens. Because say it with me, that is THE objective for them to do. You wanna go through chests, go for it. Thats not an objective. You wanna cleanse totems, fine, thats not an objective. Objectives aren't optional in this game. Totems and chests are most certainly optional.

I was starting to like you but then read you’re a Dwelf player. Ewwww! Didn’t you know all the sexy Dwight players equip the Dwightstache and Managers Vest!

As for NoEd, yeah, nothing wrong with it. People who have a problem with it are those who want to rush gens and tbag at the gate.

Its not hard to do bones either.

Every time I hear someone accuse survivors of "gen rushing", it makes me think that person is of low intelligence. Survivors are dropped into a match with literally nothing else on this earth to do than to work on generators. What exactly are you expecting them to do....stare at the trees? I did a lot of debate at university and "gen rushing" might be the worst take I've ever heard on any subject ever since learning the English language at 2 years old. Especially considering the circumstances the game puts survivors in from the very beginning which is.....thats right, repair generators and nothing else.

  • Never mind, I went to the twitter account and found it.

  • I've never watched. Is it on twitch or something?

  • My question is why do people who play killers think they are entitled to a 4k? Maybe you got outplayed. If its possible to outplay a good player who is playing a killer then that is good gameplay. Maybe you're just not as good as you think you are and aren't capable of a 4k against the type players you went against. Stop acting like just because someone plays a nurse and is good at it that means they are entitled to a 4k, because they are not.

  • For real though, nice job.

  • As a survivor main I don't think this would be a bad change. The only thing I disagree with is a 50% nerf to gen repair during warmup. I think thats a bit too drastic and if that is the suggestion then why not just bring back old Hex:Ruin. I think something more in the range of 20-30% would be appropriate.

On large maps I see this being the most beneficial, especially for killers with low mobility. Being as honest as I possibly can, low mobility killers on large maps need help. This could be the help they need.

Of course there are people who would be able to game this and if that happens then it could be adjusted. Very experienced killers would benefit greatly from it as well but I think its a fair trade-off considering low mobility killers really could use some help on large maps.

I want to have fun as a survivor main but I also want things to be fair. I think this is a good idea, especially for large maps.

If that's the case, why did you blame that one guy?

"Apparently there was one survivor who just fed Mike Meyers until he was at his highest rank and due to the addons, this game was over in about 5-6 mintues."

Why not just say you found a bug?

That was me taking a guess. I have no idea how what happened, happened and I know he didn't stalk three people. As is me wondering if its a bug is a guess. There are some complicated games out there and DBD isn't one of them. I fully understand how MM's power works and how to avoid it and how to recognize if I'm being stalked. I'm done discussing it though as I've already made my decision to discontinue playing DBD. By the way, I don't say this in a threatening manner or if you don't give me what I want I leave. I've just come to realize this game isn't for me if this kind of gameplay is desired in game.

This will be my last post. Wish you all happy killing and hiding from killers.

  • I don't think you some of you guys are listening to what I'm saying. I hear you that you say it takes 3 full people plus some. What I'm saying, is that was not the case in this trial. It did not take the effort you are describing to achieve what he did in this trial. I don't know if there's something wrong or if there is a bug or what. One other person was with me working on a gen and he was nowhere in sight of that gen. He actually had just attacked someone on the other side of the map. By the time we were nearly finished with that 1st gen, he was maxed out and insta killing people.

There's an achievement for Myers to kill all 4 Survivors with T3 Evil Within. Yes this is 100% the gameplay that is desired.

Honestly though, even if you didn't mess up someone else did. It takes FFE to get to T3 with those add-ons, and if people aren't breaking LoS then it's their fault he even got there. Have had numerous matches against those specific add-ons where he never got to T3 because of the time it takes, and the ability of Survivors to deny stalking.

When it does happen, it really is pretty much Game Over, but you can prevent it reasonably easily if you are playing against him properly. Thankfully they are Ultra Rares so you don't face them very often. It's equivalent to all 4 Survivors running Commodious Toolboxes with speed add-ons or BNPs. Doesn't happen very often, but when it does it can be overpowering.

I understand what you are saying. What I'm saying is it didn't take FFE for him to get there. I should have recorded the trial. I was in shock at how quickly this all happened. Not sure if its a bug that it happened as quickly as it did, but I just can't participate in gameplay like that. Actually its no that I can't, I won't.

  • Thank you all for your comments. Its my understanding now that my thinking is in the wrong. So I guess that means this game isn't for me. That sucks because I'm a huge horror buff. Best of luck to those still playing. Maybe I'll go back to one of the mmo's I was playing or something.

Jump in a locker and there is no way Myers can kill you. Exposed is scary, unless you're injured, have Dead Hard, or are good at looping. While I understand why you'd hate these kinds of addons, they're the rarest variety and in-turn, the most powerful. To counter Myers, just break LOS (line of sight). He can't stalk you through walls. Those two addons in combination make stalking take FOREVER. If he got it early on, then it was mainly your team's fault.

Yes whoever fed him is responsible for him reaching EWIII, but that kind of gameplay should not be possible. I know how to not feed him his power and is one of the main reasons I run spine chill. Spine chill is the counter to that power and stealth killers. It can't counter a permanent insta kill ability once its gotten to that point. He never lost EWIII and killed us all within 3 minutes of each other.
