  • I mean personally, for me, I got 1k hours on the game and I'm not half bad. I'm definitely not your atypical red rank 1 player, but I enjoyed the game. But honestly, it's gotten old. They keep pushing out more content, but nothing in the game has really changed at all since I started. It's just the same old thing. This is fine for most games, but when you're playing a game where the goal of the survivors is to hold left click on gens for prolonged periods of time, it gets boring.

  • Looping is entirely how the game was intended. If looping was reworked to no longer be a viable mechanic, survivors would basically be gauranteed to be downed the moment they are found. This would be horrible.

  • Totems are fine as they are.

As for your comment on the newest boon Exponential being broken, I completely disagree. It's very under powered considering that you need a lot of criteria to be met. You need to be in its range when you get downed, the killer to NOT pick you up immediately, and for the killer to not know the boon is there. If any one of these conditions aren't met, exponential is useless to you.

As for boons being broken in general, I disagree with that as well. Survivors only typically know where 1 or 2 dull totem locations are in the map per trial, so they're gonna keep casting the boons on the same ones. This can also work as a catch 22 in the killer's favor, as he'll know where to apply pressure on map.

  • Unfortunately the only solutions they have to this problem are:

    1. Hire on more devs, which will undoubtedly make the situation worse, given the added complexity of adding more devs.
    2. Switch game engines so the code isn't so co-dependent on everything else, which will never happen.
  • I just find it funny how the DBD community thinks they are the only gaming community with toxicity problems. Like, every game has that?

  • I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but is not the point of the exhaustion perk to extend distance during a chase? No?

  • Yeah they should change it. At least with other killers that have harder to get daily rituals they can still be done in one trial if you're good enough with them. I think they're just grasping at straws to make people play Nemesis imo

  • It's really just about who you decide to play as a killer, and using a killer that boosts your own strengths. I 100% agree with you, Getting to the intermediate/higher levels of survivor is a lot easier than it is killer. This coming from someone who's already hit survivor rank 1 a few times with only about 600 hours on the game, but only getting to the highest rank of 4 on killer. This kind of skill gap IS to be expected though and should be a part of the game, for the exact reason that of the 100% of players that are on Dead by Daylight at any given time only about 20% of them are killers (ideally).

  • I mean unfortunately this happens to some degree in every single game. There's a difference between people saying it and actually doing it though, and as many other comments have said, offenders will likely be banned and not tolerated.

  • Hard Work Pays Off

    ---------------------------------------------------------

Your time as a mechanic has taught you how to work efficiently.

After completing a generator, Hard Work Pays Off activates. While working on a generator, you can press the secondary action button to silence generator noises for 10/12/15 seconds. Once used, Hard Work Pays Off deactivates.
