I like this as a feature honestly.
So far everyone that used second wave lava on me, with traps hidden behind, used them pretty fairly and it actually was pretty fun to me to counter them.
Would love to see an Augment that allows corrosive blocks to be "Detectable" through. If that happens to be unintended
-
These kind of traps are only enjoyable because you know they copy bedrock.
I know it hurts aestetics, but it would hurt infinitely more if literally all the blocks around you could suddenly vanish and leave you in a lava pit.
I'd be one of the first to make a very long impossible path with only lava blocks and vanishing blocks, then make a alternate hidden path after killing the harvester.
And that's no fun for the players

it actually only rewards the base builder a certain number of times. after a while it becomes a waste of their time also. so really... you have nothing to lose but time. and if you're willing to prove that a base can be beaten then it will make the builder consider changing it. which means it might convince them to do something more fun. since accolades become more beneficial.
There's no Killbox user that would actively remove or change their kill box after gaining 40 deaths on it from some stubborn guy who wanted to prove them wrong.
If anything they'll laugh at the pretty death number when they login.
The killbox user doesn't lose time. He only needs to build it once.
The raider is the only one losing their time.

The description is wrong, Masquerade is meant to be used as a wall that holds your guards back until it gets triggered.
It's mostly for ambush, and it works very nicely

that's fine. but you have the sword. so deflect.
I mean, it's cool that you reminded him that he can do that, but I can hardly say that going full speed to the core with just a deflect sword against hordes of tracking AoE and flamethrowers is a good idea.
You can't just deflect your death like that xd.

I only do brutal because there's more exp and faster champion outposts.
If you avoid obvious killboxes outpost and get better with the shield weapon you can breeze through most Brutal with minimal death.
Note that it's possible to find Brutal outpost with very bad traps and Prestige level 1, mostly from new players who spammed bolt traps.
Worst case scenario, you accidentally find a bad kill box, and just leave and try the others. If all 6 are Bad boxes, invite a friend for more fire power and abuse the revive mecanic to clear it. Or join your friend and use their brutal command center.
Don't sleep on the 3700 exp, sweet levels and sweet money maker.

One issue I find with that would be that you can make the Harvester take an impossible path or kill him and hide the only entrance to the core between a pyramid wedge in a very shady corner of the map that no one will see.
Worst even, make the Harvester run in a circle for 5 minutes
I like the simplicity of the Harvester, a regular block path attached in a very linear way.

From personal experiences, there are some "Smart traps" that don't deserve to be played more than once.
Usually i leave after 6 death if I find the traps to be abusing a specific issue with the game. ( Looking at you infinite flamethrower trap behind opaque second wind lava blocks, underneath a complex wall-glitch wedge structure. )

Points shouldnt be removed at all.
I actually think season ranks should be attached to how much you play the game, and how much experience you get in your outposts rather than just completion
There are outposts in this game that are basically impossible unless you carry 2 shield, a phoenix revive a deflect sword the barrier weapon and a 40% speed boost.
Punishing players for not buying every single weapons in the game is counter productive
There are some garbage outpost out there, and I don't like the idea of needing to die 48 times just so I don't lose 30 points six times in a row from bad matchmaking RNG
-
The ranking/prestige system needs a rework IMO.
With less traps and more aestetics cubes, I would end up in "brutal", but more trap and less cubes I would be in "difficult"
And then by deleting some traps and putting them back again in the exact same place I would end up from difficult to Brutal with 0 change whatsoever.
Really an annoying bug to fight when you're trying to give new players a fun educational outpost and it ends up in the wrong section

Are you having a hard time gathering Synthite? I don't, I have no trouble banking enough to reset at all.
After Prestige 10 you can't refill the outpost, so it becomes inactive and you can only destroy it pretty much.
Op doesn't struggle with money, he wants to use money to refill a rank 10 outpost because they put a lot of work into it.
-
That's a cost of around 75 points just to remove the little box carrying dweeb.
I'd say that's a fair exchange. All you gotta do is explore properly and not fall for red herrings.
You wouldnt be able to save HRV in a regular setup if they use piston anywhere close to him anyway, because by the time you spawn, he's already 3 blocks into the outpost.
Hidden and ingenious feature to me.
-
What really bothers me about the decay is that it deactivates my outpost.
I couldn't care less about the 6000 resources I can farm daily, but seeing all of my hard work, prestige 10 usually accoladed as "Fun to do" outpost being deactivated for the public to enjoy, simply because I have work on the week is extremely unsatisfying.
And in order to share my content with others, I need to farm 900 yellows from Basic Killboxes abusing guards and flamethrower and blocking their nodes.
My point being ; How are we gonna have fun "Certified/Accoladed" outpost in the community if all we have on the daily is people farming money with killboxes to restock their outpost.
-
I think it's fine as it is.
It only really affects OverDrive cores builders, which could easily be fixed by just preventing Overdrive Coop Raids.
Having your teammate wait 28 minutes for you to raid an outpost because he died to a silly bolt trap at the beginning sounds extremely tedious.
Some outpost are infinitely more fun as a duo recklessly running and reviving each other, in a situation where otherwise I would simply sit carefully at the door for 5 minutes shooting every single traps and not die.
More death counter for you builders.
-
Same issue on Ps5.
Choppy, laggy at time. Skipping entire minutes in a frame.
Can't rewind or skip chunks of AFK people.
Really need to add those features.
I've had games of 28 minutes where I had to spend 10 minutes at full speed just to see how they died and if my traps were effective.

The guard can also one shot you and restart your entire progression with a single stray bullet from over 10 blocks away.
Pair that with the max capacity of 20 Armored guards along with the limited ammo and slow projectile speed of your crossbow and you'll quickly find that it's very good that they're not moving. Because otherwise you'd never make it past the first room of a Brutal.
