that statement is false just because there is no "survivor" in this regards, there is solo survivor and swf survivor. So which one do you mean? Or do you think they are the same?

Seeing how I only ever play solo when I play survivor and it was easy before the update, I have to assume swf was easier. So, my statement is true.

Playing killer now feels much fairer than before, which survivor mains think must mean easier.

After 3-4 years maining survivor I must admit last patch was a sign that I must be looking for a new game. In the first days, since likely I had high mmr, soloQ team managed max maybe 3-4 gens until 4K. After several of these matches I likely downgraded my mmr and luck changed, but the feel of the killers was just bad- complete babies, which didn't make that experience any fun.

What I noticed in most of my after patch matches?! Killers still run slowdown, regression perks. Killers still proxy camp, tunnel. That 5 sec BT does #########. And since gen repair nerf to 90 sec, camping is so much stronger. Actually, the same could be noticed after toolboxes, great skill checks and gen co-op was nerfed year or so ago, but not to this extent.

DBD just made every aspect of this game worse for survivor experience. I doubt they will revisit any changes in coming months, so... saying goodbye to great DBD community... Killer mains as well :):)

Could try playing killer if you think the game is too killer-sided now. Should feel to you just like when you played survivor on easy mode.

Soloq is currently unplayable due to the nerf to survivors

As a fairly okay killer main, I definitely noticed the effects of the updates, but only because games felt more fair. When I play survivors who haven't adapted, 4Ks are ez now. But when I play survivors who have adapted, both soloq and SWF, and I can still suffer a frustrating defeat, i.e., 0K or fewer than six hooks.

I played five games as survivor last night with the average outcome being 2K, and me escaping 3/5 times. All were more challenging than before the update, but none felt unfair.

Though I'm a killer main, I regularly get to high gold or low iri ranks each month as survivor because playing survivor is ez. Not trying to be a jerk about it, but it's the truth. Now, it's more challenging and way more fun.

You'll get used to not having DH eventually

    Lol, savage.

While playing Dredge last night, one survivor tried to DH for distance to windows and pallets MULTIPLE times during chases. Hard to get used to not having DH, if you can't even admit it doesn't do what it used to.

Playing killer now is easier than hello kitty super cute adventures

So playing killer is similar to how playing survivor used to be?

Its a strat when used in a manner of “fair playness”. Tunneling the one surv the whole match is not that, that’s why they introduced the mid chapter changes with OTR and BT basekit

If a killer has to spend a whole match tunnelling one survivor to get any kills, they are probably out of their league. If you're always getting tunnelled, you're probably out of your league.

Nevermind the tome challenges that require killing the obsession ten times. That takes ten matches to complete! When I get that challenge, care to guess who's getting tunnelled?

balancing the game around 2 survivors escaping is just going to piss off killer and survivor and make the game unfun. Adding game mechanics that force killers to play a certain way is bad, insecure, lazy game design - if all you are concerned about is the survivor experience then hire a team to create a decent killer AI that plays exactly how you want them to.

When did this game become hide and seek instead of a horror game?

If people are so upset that they're being camped or tunneled as a survivor then the real problem is that person is more concerned about continuing to play hide and seek than they are about actually "beating" the killer and getting the win for their team. This is very obviously the real problem here - even though survivors have the advantage in 4 swf (even without perks) they are only happy if they get to ######### on the killer instead of managing to get their team out alive.

Maybe solve that problem before buffing body blocking and adding more survivor perks that let them get right in the killers face and ######### on them

DBD is 100% a game of tag or hide and seek, just with a few mundane objectives added.

Now tunneling during end game is a free pass. Apparently a 1-time use perk needs to be weaker.

Tunnelling is problematic earlier in the trials because it robs survivors of a chance to even play the game. Tunnelling during EGC isn't really a thing. It's just the last chase to the exit gates. What else should you doing at that point?

  • When I play killer, aside from unfairly losing a chase, dead hard is most frustrating when survivors can dash through me without consequence. That never should have been an option and I'm glad it's gone.
