nothing changed between the announcement and the PTB. The builds weren't even altered. We clarified wording on a perk plus the clarifications on the bloodweb UI...but those were not changes, and not further nerfs.
The increase in Billy's charge time wasn't announced before the PTB. That was an unexpected bonus nerf that we only found out about yesterday. :(

If it goes live as it is? No. There is nothing left for me personally to enjoy about the game besides the community.
I play Billy and survivor. Playing Billy is no longer fun, or an expression of hard-earned skill. The healing changes have turned survivor into an m1 simulator which doesn't appeal either.
Not sure how I'll spend my spare time or money if the changes go live, but it won't be on DBD that's for sure.

Thats why theres such an uproar about this change: instead of going in that direction, theyre removing the possibilty for players to bridge that gap with skillful application of these addons themselves.
If an addon is overperforming, I don't see what you expect them to do. Besides I heard alot of Hillbillys in this chat saying they love "hard gameplay" so that would be exactly what you want.

but according to most, you are the minority. most people consider hilly billy a very fun killer to play against. you are literally one of the only people in this forum for the billy nerf
Yeah, this is something we hear a lot here. But do you have some studies to support that claim? besides your personal experience or if you are that streamer dude who only gets people coming in to throw roses as him-
I don't think there are any peer reviewed studies on this topic my dude, but here is some supporting evidence that the person in the echo chamber isn't Vel. ;)
Twoknee isn't finished polling yet, but it's cool to see what other people think.

well, might be plain ignorance of my part, but if the killer needs these addons to be fun, I doubt the problem is the addons...
pyramid head has one useful addon and that's it.
His basekit does need a buff, you're not wrong

There's nothing as exciting as being chased by a double engravings Billy imho, though I'm obviously biased. Dbd will lose something special if these changes go through.

I think this has been evident ever since THAT nerf, literally nobody asked for the overheat mechanic on Billy, nobody even asked to nerf his basekit at all, just the instasaw addon combo.
But yet it was added and defended for years now, leading to this absurd situation where BHVR itself admits that mechanic does ######### nothing but they are still going to nerf billy further because "too much map pressure" all while Blight and Nurse still exist.
Some people suspect that they *can't* nerf Blight's addons because the person who coded them left. No idea if there's any truth to that, but it's on-brand for BHVR at this point. This is so sad.
