  • I don't think it's a good idea and some things should be left to imagination - it would be forcing it upon the established characters we already all love for who they are, we have that bond... and it wouldn't change anything for me, so I don't really feel the need to know it at all. It's just a tagging out of a sudden for no reason. We have some nice charms and they are looking good on people who love to share more about themselves.

Now - introducing an activist character like... Greta Thunberg or Pasta Senpai, that is where you need to be lore specific and their voice lines would be - interesting.

  • The way I play Singularity and having fun is somewhat 70% chase / 30% setup. At the start of the trial I immediately try to find survivors and not wasting time I shoot Biopods at key locations on the run so I could quickly check if they are crossing and infect them. I do place Biopods at gen locations so I could use them as surveillance and check if they are working on them (EMP'd biopod = they are on it) - but I don't waste much Biopods as I keep them for chase, trying to slipstream as much as possible and teleport for a hit. Early game is a key period for Singularity, and probably the strongest part.

Addons and certain perk combos help a lot, here is what I use:

Denied Requisition Form + Diagnostic Tool in combo with Lethal Pursuer gives you an amazing early game advantage as you will already have them slipstreamed and ready for M2 + you see their auras. Lethal Pursuer will also give you few more seconds of their auras when they pick the EMP. EMP takes more time to spawn at the beginning of the trial. That's like "Search and Destroy" setup.

Foreign Plant Fibres + Kid's Ball Glove in combo with Enduring and Spirit Fury. This is a chase setup and pallet destroyer combo. You can literally disrespect pallets and melt through them. Overclock is a bit longer and the stun with Enduring perk and addon is drastically reduced. Bamboozle is also one more perk I find really nice on Singularity.

I hope you will have fun with your games, I am really enjoying our HUX-A7-13, it takes time - "Yes. It hurts. Growth often does." :D

  • Killer: Killer Clown from Outer Space

    Survivors: Mike Tobacco, Debbie Stone

Sure we already have a clown in the game but he could be much more interesting than just throwing bottles around.

Killer weapon: Popcorn gun (shooting popcorn at survivors, mechanics would work something like Trickster's knives laceration rather than Huntress hatchets... but rather than just decay, survivors would need to search spot on a map where they would make a cotton candy and "cleanse" the laceration).

Special Ability: Like Dredge's nightfall, few times per game - killer can make a Balloon Dog who will bark and run across the map to search and track survivors.

Map: "The Circus" which is actually a giant UFO and is a indoor futuristic maze similar to Hawkins

I didn't really think about specific perks but there is so much that can be done and be lots of fun.

  • I really like the Play Station button prompts now when using the PS controller with Steam DS4 controller support enabled! Such a nice addition. I play survivor on PS4 or Xone controller and it's nice to see the PS button prompts too, well done.

  • Bubba is not nerfed, chainsaw is still a killer. Make sure you didn't use "Speed Limiter" add on, because you can't insta down with it - it grants you more BloodPoints but no insta down.

  • Interesting topic. Is it even a thing or it makes a difference between survivor characters? They are all like same to me with different graphics and cosmetics. But again, it's very interesting because I have to admit (as a new killer in game), that Claudettes are almost always some bush campers or hiding... crawling, game delaying boring players.

  • Hello DBD community. I find this particular topic and its name a good place to say hi to everyone from a new killer in game. I am a big horror fan and I started playing like two weeks ago and, now having ~50hrs of in game time, playing killer only. I am currently at rank 11, getting better and I get matched with red ranks SWF really often, and I am assuming all of you in this discussion are red or ranked high. I am not sure why is this happening and if it's some kind of a shadow MMR thing... but I don't really mind it I don't want to go off topic with it. Playing against high skilled players is good way to learn the game, but it can also backfire, and I can barely learn anything from being parkour-ed around the maps layouts I barely know yet.

The things I am trying to point out here are: Making assumptions, having high expectations, or you are expecting everyone will use the same meta perk builds for gen regression, tracking, chasing or what not - if they even have it unlocked yet. Of course I can read about perks and what they do, I also watch few streamers play and I've seen their YouTube videos explaining things in depth - but 50hrs or so is just not enough to even "feel" the game, compared to thousands of hours red ranked survivors I was in game with.

There are probably no "head injuries" (that's not even too funny), some people are learning at slower rates, some are just not that much competitive or willing to dive deep into matter like you... or there might just be some still very inexperienced killers like me unlocking new perks, testing killer's characteristics and trying things out or just plainly not knowing what they do - still learning things. I guess none of you were experts at the very start. Just have more understanding for other players in game, some respect is never a bad thing, we are all unique deep inside, I cannot know your reasons but I can hear you - after all, we are just trying to have fun with this great game running around in chases.
