Bring it. I don't think I would notice a difference from a normal game as is.
I'll wear it with pride.
Want to tunnel me or camp me? That's fine ^.^ I am not fussed.
I understand there are people who will target others for this, but it is only because they are immature children.

This is why I stopped playing Spirit even though she is my favorite :/ Actually, this is why I stopped playing killer at all. I tried learning Nurse and still got this sort of stuff with no kills in the game. Lol.

I played as Myers one game and no one could say Michael Myers or Myers... "gg wp all" gets censored a lot, so does "gg"
I was talking to a killer about using Dragon's Grip and the game filtered the words "Dragon's Grip"...
Oh... ok
"Hey! good game guys! You're all really amazing!"
Translates to: "hey! ####### ####### ! You're all #######!"

@Wafflecat what settings are you playing on? (Ultra/High/Med/Low). Am just trying to get as much information as possible to see if it's different per settings etc.
I am playing on Ultra settings.

Here is a screenshot of me running towards a Nea that was between those two corn husk triangle bales.
You can barely see the hook, let alone an aura or anything of the survivor.

So (coming from someone who plays both sides..) when I get a game as survivor... for example...
Before Freddy got nerfed I went against one that held the game hostage for 35 minutes. He did not chase us across the map, he did not commit to chases. He literally patrolled three generators. Yes it was our fault for three genning, but hey... what can you do in solo queue? But, he wouldn't commit. I do not like the insta kill survivors at the 20 minute mark. We were actively trying to do generators, he wouldn't commit and just kept hitting us off. So we should be punished?

@Wafflecat thank you for the clips, they were very helpful to show the problem...much appreciated!
I apologize for my very late reply, I have some screenshots too (I've been busy with college work.) I took these yesterday and forgot about them.
The orange clips in the above screenshot.
And in the following one, the survivor (at the top of the corn healing) was difficult to see depending how you held your camera. I had to get it at this angle to see them at all.

I can get screenshots next time I play on the map, but ultimately, I think that things are more visible in a screenshot than they are in gameplay. You're in constant motion - especially with BBQ & Chili or tracking a survivor through the corn, you'll be swinging your camera around wildly, trying to catch a glimpse of anything before your window of time closes. Normally there is a very sharp contrast between red auras and the gloom of a map, and here it's much easier for them to fade into the background. I feel like I'm constantly having to strain my eyes on new Coldwind, to the point where I'm actively liking getting sent to some of the maps I used to hate for visibility issues (Swamp, Ormond.)
The exit gates are especially bad - the yellow is near impossible to see and I usually have to spin in circles a few times before I can find one of them.
This is actually a perfect explanation of what happens. When you are moving, it is very hard to see auras at times. I've been watching a couple of streams (because I am in class atm and cannot play myself) and it is very hard to spot the auras. I checked both killer and survivor streams. When you stand still, it is easier to see them- but how often do you 'really' stand still in this game? I feel like that almost makes trying to get saves (before the are hooked) impossible. I, too, am getting excited when sent to Swamp lately because I can see the auras at least.
I have not checked the exit gates, I usually just go in the direction I see a giant icon. I will pay more attention.
But yes. Videos are more helpful than screenshots, except in the case above- where you can clearly not see the hook because the haze is so much.

Here are some clips from my Twitch.
The first one a Jake was downed, you can see his aura just fine behind walls- etc.
https://clips.twitch.tv/DarkEagerCockroachTBTacoRight-RffzU7aTcha-t1ovThe problem comes in when you get into the corn- the auras of survivors and hooks become either super hard to see, or fade out completely at times.
https://clips.twitch.tv/PatientGlutenFreeGarbageTinyFace-MQrYcNnU-t5TpHn4
https://clips.twitch.tv/ApatheticUgliestSashimiNinjaGrumpy--fdeLVWDEtF_mF9pSome parts of some of the maps you can't see the yellow aura. I will try to get screenshots of the yellow survivor auras (since most of these are just the orange) with Kindred/Better Together on the maps, I have none atm. But the yellow haze is so thick at times, they just blend right in.

The brightness on the Coldwind map makes auras difficult to see on both sides. They need to darken the auras or something so they are more visible for both killers and survivors on the new Coldwind maps.
I just worry if they darken the yellow aura, if it will be difficult to see on the darker maps like 'the game' etc. I am honestly not too sure how this could be fixed without affecting how people see the auras on other maps as well. I just wish there was a work around for it.

I always have trouble finding them as well I just do a weird shuffle and spam that pick up button
I haven't played the new rework as killer yet, I am nervous about being unable to find them as killer as well. As survivor I usually run WGLF, so if they are slugged I would like to try to help- pallet stun, flashlight blind (if I can ofc and am close enough), but as I said- seeing their outline is really hard at the moment.

You want to prevent tunnelling. Yes tunnelling sucks, I get it.
But let’s ask one question. Is it SO DAMN HARD to bring 1 DS out of 16 perk slots??
And don’t give arguments of DS being useless or no one brings it in solo queues. It’s FAR FROM USELESS. With just one DS it already forces killers to respect it and not tunnel. Even in solos where all other teammates don’t bring it, you yourself can bring it to force an obsession. Why is it so hard??
Asking for obsession basekit is basically asking DS to be basekit. This is very impactful and it’ll shifts the balance of whole game. Survivors will have more slots to put more second chance perks, and killer has to respect it. It’ll create a scenario where killer is against 20 perks because he respects DS but nobody brings it.
Unless there is a overall killer-equivalent buff, obsession base should not be a thing right now.
1 DS out of my 4 perk slots? I solo queue, why do I HAVE to run a specific perk to make sure the killer doesn't tunnel me? Why doesn't the killer just want to play the game fair? I don't run at the killer off hook, I don't stick around under hook.
Also, it doesn't work. Killers have become more aggressive with their tunneling since the nerf. I ran it last night and stabbed quite a few killers, know what they did? Still tunneled me out. I had a Freddy come back right as I was being unhooked (there was only one other surv in the game because he tunneled the other two). The other survivor was injured, I had BT. He tunnel me through BT, then he tunneled me again. He stood above me and swung at the wall repeatedly, waiting for DS to run out. He then picked me up with .000001 seconds left on it, I stabbed him, he tunneled me again. This is red rank by the way.
It doesn't work. Killers don't care. So the arguement of 'Run DS 5head" is pretty worthless.

You think ######### as killer? Thats weird. Cause apparently its a desync, which makes the hits look normal on the killer side. Survivors will just land, where they are on the survivors side.
Anyway, do you really want a rushed out patch that might break even more stuff? Because thats what usually happens with rushed patches.
Just replying to the '#########' as a killer. I have gotten MANY hits playing killer lately that make me go '#########'. I hit a David after he was already running 5 feet away from a window vault. I hit a Nancy when she was behind me and I swung, and CLEARLY missed.

As a Spirit main (and yes, survivor main), she needs a major rework. I can get 4Ks easy on her with no perks or addons 3/4 games. If a survivor knows what they are doing, even when I run perks/addons- I can lose them, they can lose me. Most survivors don't play smart though, they constantly fast vault to give their location, jump in and out of lockers to get your attention. They realize she can follow scratch marks most of the time and just 'W' key to victory... until they can't. I say this as someone who has seen their friends do it and who has also done some of this.
Also.. Stridor? It makes me cringe when I see people run this, use your eyes and common thought process to figure out where a survivor went.
She doesn't need a nerf. Balance needs to happen, not nerfs. The balance also should not revolve around one perk (iron will). They need to seriously look at her addons and rework them. Also I am not sure what this 'breathing' bug is, unless you are talking about the bug where I down someone and suddenly they stop making noise like they have Iron Will laying on the ground? If you're trying to crouch right beside a killer, it's no wonder they found you Stridor or not, Iron Will or not.
I appreciate everyone who is trying to think up ways to try to help balance her instead of just killing the character in general. Her power is unique and I appreciate it, it's nice not going against the same predictable killers as a survivor. As a killer, I do wish they made it so that Spirit shimmered a little like Wraith does when she is phasing across the map, in intervals at least so survivors can feel better.

I am brand new to the game (only have 9 hours in it so far) and I have had only one toxic person I have encountered. He was crap talking us at the start of the game, but then we won the game by gen rushing at the start and no one got hooked. He apologized at the end, but other than that everyone I have met has either said nothing or just said "gg" at the end. I know people say the community is toxic, so I am ready for it- I just hope I encounter more of the nicer side.
