Are you saying the key rate spawn is OK? You are right, it doesn't happen too often, and it probably was very exciting for the survivors who escaped... I was even prepared to not get salty about it in the chat, and I opened up the chat with a gg. I don't even think I got a gg back before the survivors started justifying their key escape, and then criticizing me for staying near a hook when there were scratch marks in the area. They called a Blight, with something like 7 hooks (would have finished on at least 9), a camper. It's that entitled attitude that annoyed me.

Also, yeah me then playing in a toxic manner as Bubba was not a good solution, as then I'm punishing totally different people. However Bubba and his insta-down itself is not toxic, he is a relatively easy Killer to loop.

Your final point, yes as Killer I get toxicity all the time, as survivor I see other survivors either being toxic to the Killer (I ALWAYS call them out on it), or survivors being toxic to me and other survivors (why didn't you save, etc.).

The game has a lot of balance issues in general. It's hard to keep that in perspective especially when the game often feels broken. I just want to have fun snd not br treated like garbage. Some people act like this game is their job and it's always gotta be someone else's fault that they aren't getting their precious pips. 🤷

It's funny, I literally came onto this forum just now as I wanted to make a thread about why I was just reminded why Killer isn't fun. Seeing as someone else made a thread, I'll just vent here.

I was playing Blight on suffocation pit, the survivors seemed decent enough, I had to slug a little, for my first hook I stayed in the area since I had a slug there, and saw scratch marks, so someone was nearby. I also re-hooked a Jake at one point because he was unhooked and his rescuer did not make themselves known to me.

Anyway, it got to 1 gen left and I killed the Jake, hooked another person. Then 2 survivors who looted a key left.

Not wanting an argument I just said "gg" and "nerf keys". The guy said "it's fair because we did 4 gens".

I said not at all, because they had 3-genned themselves so there was no way I wasn't getting a 3/4k at this point. At this point one of them said "well we wouldn't play" (that's survivor logic for you there, we will just give up and therefore its void?).

Then the guy started saying "you camped the first hook" (I literally saw scratch marks, I would have took my 2nd hook and went to another gen). Then he starts saying I was slugging. I said slugging is necessary to win as a Killer, and he said "NO LOL". At this point I just withdrew my GG and moved on.

It just annoyed me though that not only these survivors thought the key escape was fair, but they then go and criticize my tactics I used?

At this point I just went and played Bubba and camped 2 people to death and got a 4k on Lerys, after a while you get sick of being accused of things so you just do them, why not, you get moaned at anyway.

    Wow, big rant. Sorry.

I feel like keys should only be something that appears in a chest that round at the same rate the spawn now. You're lucky to have one, makes it more exciting. It isn't something you can escape with and not something that can be unlocked in the web. Also green keys are useless. 😆

I can't support your use of Bubba, friend playing against him is just no fun with the constant insta-downs, lol.

I myself I play both sides and I definitely get more toxic messages from survivors than I do killers and I am better at survivor. 🤷 Survivors will send me more messages when I am also a survivor, so...

I'd say make it so that if the game does not progress at all within a certain amount of time the endgame collapse starts

Only problem being people might exploit and wait it out until the end game collapse happens. Probably would have to ve something more akin to the entity will come out of the ground rather than giving them an opportunity to open gates. Just trying to be specific, but something like this is probably what you meant.

  • I don't think the killers are very balanced across the board. At this point I just want there to be FUN killers. Trickster looks fun. For example I don't enjoy playing with or against Cannibal. Having an insta down available basically all game (that got buffed... WHY) is just cheap and no fun. Sure it makes him "strong" but it's kind of like a crutch. You can choose to play him and use the chainsaw sparingly, but its not fun... or just change the mechanic. Hillbilly takes more skill to get a hit on someone with that chainsaw at least. I think the threat of an insta down when you have to earn it with stalking, devour, etc. is a fun mechanic for both sides. It puts in that fear... "Oh no! Exposed!" Just my two cents of someone who plays both sides.

  • Iri heads are no more toxic than Bubba running his chainsaw which he has EVERY match. Iri heads at least take skill to connect. There's other killers who have insta downs. Either you want all insta downs taken out or what? It's not fair to whine about one form of insta down.

  • Memento Vivere:

Escape a memento mori (or other insta death... devour hope, rancor, etc) death once per trial at the perk's highest level. I am not sure how best to build the lower levels. Maybe for yellow, there's a chance to escape mori only, for green escape only mori, purple escape all insta death? Maybe it's better as a new offering?

  • I am getting really tired of losing pips or de-ranking. It has happened too much. I will lose a pip if the killer leaves the match soon after we loaded into a game. At least I assume it is the killer because it shows me as escaped and the disconnect symbol is by the killer's name.
