  • Just want to add-in. While it did make my grind significantly shorter with all of my killers at P3 and P2 level 50. It also changes another fundamental thing.

It means my grind with killer is over and just flattens my progression. Therefore making the game more unfun to play over-all as I would be playing to level up random survivors I don't really use or for more add-ons which is going to get harder to find now too.

Over-all, it just shifts things around in not a good way and only thing it adds is that all my killers get to try any build I want now instead of me having to earn it through progression.

You really needed to add actual progression incentives and charms with perk icons ain't it.

  • unfun nurse games is comparable to unfun SWF games.

If we aren't going to nerf SWF, then don't touch Nurse as she is the only one that can realistically handle the swat squad comp SWFs.

THE MAIN reason not to nerf is because a huge meta shake up is happening really soon that still needs to be deep dived before any nerfs to solo survivor, SWF or killer happens further.

The best counter-play is to use line of sight blocking and learning how to disguise your movement to make you harder to follow. Shes the best killer in the game, if she gets you quickly, it doesn't reflect on you as much so do not be hard on yourself or your team

We're trying to catch everybody with these waves of giving out the shards. I do appreciate the frustration that many of you are feeling but this is an ongoing process.

(and nobody needs to send me their Cloud ID's right now, I will not be collecting them, the initial ID's were just used for tracking purposes).

So when should we start putting in support tickets? No one is updating us anymore.

edit: on a whim right before Lost Ark's release, i logged on and actually got my bubba shards. Thank you finally

I've got around 4k hours in this game, I think most people would agree that any game once you have enough hours in it, stops being scary.

Also, as I play both sides, horror quickly dissipates.

i have 4k hours as well. I do not agree, this game has a lot of potential for horror moments.

Jumpscare Myers, Hag traps, Undetectable Bubba that got close somehow, Nurse blinking and grabbing you with tinkerers, working on that first gen and a stealthy killer comes out of nowhere, devour hope with 3+ stacks literally eating team morale, spirit grabbing you out of nowhere because you were on the edge of her terror radius, Deathslinger sneaking up on you with M&A (rip), silent bell wraith on indoor map, running into a trapper trap out of nowhere, ect.

I think the problem is you e-sported out the horror elements to try to make a more fun experience for survivor. But we all know the reason the game aint scary because survivor is not as stressful as killer. The stress adds to the horror element. To make the game scary. SURVIVING HAS TO BE DIFFICULT AND NOT GUARANTEED. That... is just not how dbd is balanced. If a game is played well by killer and equally well by survivors, two survivors will still escape. If you want horror, the 1 has to be the power role over the 4.

Anything can still be scary after 4k hours, it's just about how you approach it. It's because the design choices have been moving away from horror for accessibility. The UI change is perfect example of that. Old UI had much more of a horror vibe. Minimal is generally always better for horror elements, including minimal information perks

Undetectable is the perfect status effect for making dbd a horror game. In fact the most fun killer games are the one where you get to feel like a powerful, ever-present horror antagonist and not a punish simulator for survivor's bad plays.
