  • This is so cool! You have put a lot of thought into the to make it fun for both suvs and killers, I hope something like this gets implemented/created. If the Devs don't want to rework legion like this I really hope another killer is created using a similar/modified mechanic because this is awesome! Props to you sir seriously well done!

So this is the result of the archives. Went smoothly but thought I would share for the benefit of others. Ty again all!

  • I really wish your post had more attention...I have put in almost 900hrs in the game on steam, purchased all but 1 of available DLC on steam, and have multiple event rewards. All in all I've spent over $150 on steam and 900in time. I want to start playing on my switch, but that would mean starting over. I would have to rebuy the game, DLC, and put in some serious time to get close to what I have. As much as I want to play on my switch I just can't justify spending over 150 for content I already have. I would be more than willing purchasing the game again for my switch if I was able to cross save from steam....but until then I'm not spending my money. I suspect others are also of the same opinion.

  • Thank you DelsKibara & Fibjean! I really appreciate the help and think I now understand the Archives a bit better :) Once I complete the trapper deduction I'll probably select epilogue to obtain the charm, then complete the remaining deductions :) Thanks again!

I believe you can get special headsets that increase faint sounds, try looking online for em for hard to hear.
But actually I prefer to play Killer without sound and just some smooth jazz and just predict where the survivors go, if I can do that, I believe you can do it too, until the devs figure something out for you.

Depends on what you are looking at for your experience. If a person is completely deaf it is likely they would want headphones with significant base as they well be able to feel the vibrations. If they have problems hearing low pitches, a headset that increases treble or can amplify high pitched sounds might be helpful. (And vise versa if a person can't here high pitches) Some like the sound to go through their hearing aids/cochlear implant via tcoil or bluetooth (<--What I do) Others prefer a mix of everything I mentioned (Personally I use hearing aids to pump direct audio through, with a base headset for feeling vibrations, as well as closed captions (if they are available). This is just for me, and I don't speak for everyone. There are always ways to improve or add something better compatible like vques or [CC]. Unfortunately there is no "Fix All" solution.

PS: I have a friend that has a computer program which she fine tunes to increase her sound. Check out DeafGirlGaming on twitch if you want to know the software....because I can't remember what she uses ;P

Facecamping Hillbilly who throws insults at me because I decided to do gens rather than save.

I had time to do 4 gens without hearing any heartbeat.

There have been a lot of insidious LeatherFaces' lately. They like to down one person, hook them in the basement, and just wait by the hook out of sight. I had one in a game where he tried to do that....But he screwed up,. The first survivor he downed had Tier III Kindred, and we could see him the whole time just standing behind the basement wall. We felt bad for leaving her, but the one time I was going to unhook her she flailed her arms until I moved far enough away. When another survivor tried she waved them off too. We listened to her silent instructions and got back on the gens. I gave that Claudette mad props, she stayed on the hook and held on struggling the whole game so we could get gens done, and so LeatherFace wouldn't go after the 3 of us. She died just before the last gen was completed, and she was LeatherFace's only kill. In the end chat we thanked her for holding out so we could complete the gens, and for bringing Kindred ๐Ÿ˜‰ The killer immediately cursed at her for being a "quitter" and not even trying to escape. (Even if she struggled as long as she could the whole game) Then he yelled at the rest of us for being $hitty friends, and not aiding her escape. The four of us, whom were all rando's by the way, turned around and ripped him a new one. She stuck it out and was no quitter!...and we were going to make sure they both knew that. LeatherFace DC'd the chat after a few comments, and our messages were non vulgar. He was mad for being told off, and we defended her. That Claudette is now on my friends list, and I brought streamers the next game so she could make up points she lost to keep us alive ๐Ÿ˜‰ We still play together, and we still occasionally laugh at that LeatherFace ๐Ÿ˜œ It never pays to face camp...but it does pay to have someone like her take one for the team to keep the rest of us alive. I made a good friend that day too ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ’œ

If you decide to visit him then i advise you to not trust his chili.

I think you might have killed me omg ๐Ÿคฃ

  • I agree that this can be abused, but God do I need a visual que/Vque or closed captions/[CC]! In my opinion, if one is deaf and needs a Vque or [CC], there should be a system in place for that. Now for the debate on how hearies will abuse Vques or [CC]. I play with a few deaf gamers like myself, and we all agreed that it would be fair to have [CC]/Vques blocked off too EVERYONE until manually unlocked by a dev. In other words one must submit and inquiry to the devs. The devs can review your case, see that you are infact a deaf person whom is not abusing the system to get more notifications, and unlock Vques or [CC]. Some say it is discriminatory to ask questions, ask for proof, or go through a process like this. However, the four of us said if proof or a submission to the devs is needed and gets us Vques or [CC] we don't mind a bit. We just want our Vques or [CC] so we can enjoy the game to its full. Just thought I'd float that idea around. ๐ŸคŸ

Killer self breathing needs to be reduced also. That might explain why people have difficulty hearing survivor breathing. When I play Doc or Pig, I can't tell who it is.

But I guess it doesn't make deaf people with expensive hearing aids any better at the game lol.

Being a deaf person; I can tell you the "Expensive" Hearing Aids only make things worse here. Think of it like someone putting their mouth so close to the microphone during an assembly, and having it all distort and reverb through the room. That is what the chase music sounds like through a pair of hearing aids.

  • Alright so I have two "favorites"

The first was I hooked a Dweight, and his buddies decided to stick around. Everyone was downed in a matter of seconds and all four sacrificed. I get to the end game and of course ever single person was calling me a camper.

"I saw you all huddled right next to Dweight as I hooked him what did you expect me to do? Ignore you all and run to the other side of the map?" - Me
"Yeah that's exactly what you should do, stop being a toxic a$$ed little camper." - One of the Megs

In all honesty I had a good laugh at that one. I had forgotten that if the killer is still on the map after hooking a survivor they are camping. The next one is even better though.

However the BEST happened when I played survivor with my brother and two randos against the Trapper. At one point trapper tried to hook me, but my brother was in front of him with a flashlight, and one of the rondos was behind him with a flashlight. He dropped me and got p*ssed off when I got away. The flashlight thing only happened once the whole game. He still managed to sacrifice my brother, and the other survivor that did not engage in the flashlight escape. It was a good game....but when we looked at the end chat I kid you not this is what I see:

"What is with all you survivors camping the f*cking sh*t out of me!!" - Trapper (Take that in for just a moment)
"How on earth did we camp you?" - My Brother
"You guys made me drop my kill with those d*mn flashlight, fixed all of the generators right in front of me, hit me with a f*cking pallet, and kept unhooking each other! Why wont you just leave me alone!" - Trapper (Again just let that sink in)
"Wait so we're campers because we completed our objectives, a core game play mechanic, and tried to rescue whomever you hooked?" - Me
"Exactly! Just f*cking die and play by the rules next time you f*cking little campers!" - Trapper (DC/End of Chat)

The only "toxic" thing that really happened in the game was the double flashlight save, but lets be honest here that was strategical and not toxic. The rest of the game was fine, and "normal." No-one was "butt dancing" as far as I could tell anyway, and we weren't going after the killer to bully him. This dude just wanted a free ride and for us to play by his own little made up rules, then call us out for camping the killer in the end chat! I don't think I have ever laughed as hard reading the end chat, as I did with this guy ๐Ÿคฃ
