DBD isn't built on some point system. You don't have to add something to X just because you added something to Y.

I'd rather BHVR just go nutter butters and just buff the like….150 perks that are not very good that no one uses and have some dang fun.

I assume the reason why BHVR doesn't have "some dang fun" more often is because the last time they did, we got the gen kick meta.

Everyone knows that the Killer is the power role.  Everyone knows they become stronger as the match progresses and the Survivors become weaker.  Therefore, there is very little room for error on the Survivor side.  I believe this is the primary reason why so many Survivors give up so early; that "minor inconvenience" has a 99.999999% potential to cost them the entire match.  Meanwhile, Killers can make a few mistakes early on, Survivors can do a few gens (even four of them) and  the Killer still comes out on top in the end.

How do we fix that?  I really can't say.  In fact, I can't even say it should be fixed, as the Killer is supposed to be the power role, after all.

I suggest you play a bit more of Killer, judging by your comment, because early mistakes made by the Killer can also lead to them losing the game pretty hard, and Survivors can absolutely come back from games that are going south by smart body blocking, having good chases or doing flashlight/pallet saves. The main difference is that Survivors need to cooperate and play as a team to do those plays and comebacks, while Killer is only dependent of their own ability, for the most part.

The best way to fix that would obviously be to give Solos more tools to communicate, and therefore have a better chance to do those game-turning plays. Stuff like allowing Solos to see their teammates' perks and making some nice info perks basekit (such as Bond or the team-seeing aspect of Kindred) would be good ways of accomplishing this, me thinks.

  • From what I recall, Survivors that have Victor on top of them can't hear Charlotte's terror radius (making it easier to get the jump on them) and cannot heal or repair generators, preventing them from completing their objective until they get rid of them. Plus they also can't escape through the gates, making him a little more scary when it's end game.

The real strength of Victor, however, comes when he pounces on an injured survivor, since he can continue moving and attacking normally, which helps him snowball into a situation Survivors can't recover. Plus he is also really difficult to avoid when in chase (he moves way faster than Survivors, can get hits through pallets and windows and even go for long range snipes), which results in very quick injures and downs. That's why smarter Survivors will try to hold onto Victor for long amounts of time to prevent Charlotte from using him to damage the rest of the team.

  • The main issue with Nurse is that she's just too unique from all the other characters, which is (probably) why BHVR takes their time to balance her. She's super strong now, but if she ever gets more substantial nerfs to her power she could very well end up the worst character in the game, since by the default she's slower than a survivor's running speed, a game-changing trait that only she has.

And you might say "well, just rework her so she's more like the other characters." which, while it will allow her to be more balanced, it will also remove the appeal of Nurse, aka how unique she is.

In essence, it would be a repeat of what happened to Freddy (unique character that was too hard to balance, therefore got reworked entirely so he's closer mechanically to the other characters). That's the main reason (I think) she's never touched too much.

Imo, they could add a new mechanic for survivors to deal with her power, in a similar fashion to the EMPs and the flame turrets, that would still give the killer some way to counter. Maybe survivors can get an item to hit her with that they have to aim (similar to how the snowballs worked in the event) to stun her out of her power. That way there's some skill expression for survivors (having to aim and time the attack to stun the killer) and the Nurse (having to time her power and teleport in such a way to dodge the attack) that could make her more balanced and interesting while still keeping her uniqueness.

  • I like how in every tier list ever the Knight is consistently the most mid mid-tier to have ever mid-tiered.

  • I liked Scott Jund's idea of giving survivors more options while they're in the dying state, so players that are slugged still have some agency and makes it a bit more interesting. Maybe BHVR could even add new perks that only work while slugged that don't just pick you up. Like giving other survivors more repair speed if you're on the ground or something.

  • I feel the biggest issue with these change (and how chests are right now) is that it would still be worse than just bringing the item with the add-ons you want.

Why would you spend 12 seconds or so searching a box which might give you the item you want/need when you can simply start with that item at the beginning of the match for basically free.

In my not-so-humble opinion, if you want to make chests a bit more useful and worth their cost they should make unique, chest-only items that are guaranteed to pay back in some way. Maybe you can get a toolbox that allows you to repair a single pallet or breakable wall, or a map that lets you see other survivors. Stuff like that. At the very least it would add a new tool for survivors to consider while playing a match, and would be something you can buff/nerf without affecting the balance of regular items.

So now that Blight's Hug Tech is finally fixed in this upcoming PTB, can we please ban everyone who was abusing it?

    Least vengeful survivor player.

  • The fella came out like two days ago, of course everyone is playing him. Give it a week and you're going to start seeing only blights and nurses again, don't worry.

I always thought about that. The devs seems to have a good partnership with the Saw franchise. The Pig should have her own chase music and lobby theme. She could also have a legendary skin that turns her into Hoffman.

This is word for word exactly what I always wanted. I would play the living ######### out of her if they did that and never complain about anything ever again.

I saw Ricky Berwick say it looks like him. So he's Ricky Berwick to me.
