Now everyone's got, like, ACTUAL extra abilities, twelve sprints, a weird dab-dash, flying across the map, auto-revives, auto-unhooks, auto-escapes, attack negates, killer ability negates, aura negates, and just a general total disintegration of the game's base mechanics, utterly devolving into this abomination perkfest battle royale game, except one team forgot to bring 3 of their teammates.
----
I'm aware that power creep hits every game. But even so, it rarely actually mutates the game into a totally different game. You used to be able to just play your core kit, and the only thing you even had to worry about is a Meg sprint... from Meg.
But now, you have to hesitate on every single little thing. Maybe I can't swing this max range lunge attack, they might dab-dash it and I whiff. Maybe I can't hit this unhooked Survivor, they might have Borrowed. Maybe I can't look in the direction I'm walking, they might have Spine Chill. Maybe I can't leave this guy slugged on the ground for a moment, he might self-revive. It just god damn feels like every little thing is wrong. Like every decision is just trying to cut my losses. I can do this thing and get punished, or that thing and get punished more. Well, I'll do the thing I'm least punished for. But ultimately, I'm just always punished for anything I do.
I know I've made my fair share of threads today, but just holy #########, dude.
Playing Killer in this game... You know what it feels like???
It feels like I'm playing a children's game.
It feels like I'm, like... the teacher.
"Alright, kids! Let's load up some DBD!"
And they all cheer happily, "YAYYYY!" And they all get on.
And I join the game, and I'm BIG BAD SCARY MONSTER!
And the game starts, and I pop out from corners and go RAWR, but in reality, I'm just totally powerless and couldn't harm a fly if I wanted to.
And the kids all go, "AAAAHHH," and most of them don't do anything because they're like 5 years old and probably just picking their nose. But then one of them accidentally hits their left mouse button, and it bonks me on the head with a frying pan and I fall over defeated, with X's for eyes.
And I say, "WOW you did it! You defeated the big scary monster! Ice cream for EVERYONE!"
And they all scream, "YAYYYYY!! ICE CREEAAAAMMM!!!"
And it's the classic happy ending fairy tale story that the kids are accustomed to hearing.
And everyone's happy.
That's sincerely what I realized DBD is feeling like to me. That is me putting words to it.
This is the best analogy I've ever heard and quite frankly as a killer main I approve of it π we would of gotten away with it if it wasn't for those meddling perks.

Why is nobody talking about this? Now i know why ballets bugged out.. they tried to shadow buff them and screwed it up like usual!
The way pallets use to work was the survivor would reach up and begin to pull the pallet down. The stun would not happen until the pallet had moved 20-30 degrees or so and the killer could hit a survivor at any point until then.
The stun is now instant. there is no delay like there use to be and it trumps anything the killer does. I have witnessed it both as survivor and killer. It almost looks like the animation has just been super sped up.
I'm a pig main, not noticed any difference myself but I'm not saying it isn't happening to people, server issues or the bad hit detection again maybe?

Just generally curious as to who plays DBD competively, and who likes to chill basically. Back when I was a noob I used to be pretty chill with it, but I wanted to aim at becoming better. Once I finally got a little bit better at playing survivor and killer I kinda started taking the game pretty seriously, which in turn kinda lead me to getting tilted a lot and being a tryhard at the game. But ever since I've gotten loads better at both survivor and killer and at not letting my saltiness get the best of me, and realized that playing DBD competively isn't good for your mental health. Which is why I like to run no gen defense/slowdown perks on killers, because running those perks getting very boring after a while. I basically look at all killers, and decide what perks benefit them the most. For example a build I like running on DeathSlinger is Nurses, Monitor, STBFL, and Brutal. I can win with this build on DeathSlinger at times, but will occasionally lose since gen speed and playing a slow killer. But with losing I basically shrug it off because I will accept that I lost, although there is times where the game does mess me over. I don't play to be the best, I just play to have fun. Which will always be the #1 rule of video gaming.
I'm pretty chill but I'm new, I tend to get stressed at other games like Overwatch so I tend to play DBD to have fun and unwind

Why play with your friends if you can't even talk to them? Don't get so worked up over it, sometimes you lose, sometimes you win. 99% of swfs aren't out to be rude to you, they're just having a good time with friends chatting and joking around. It's only when you get tilted and act snarky in chat, that they will see an opportunity to mess with you. Just say "gg <3" and move on, don't dwell on a loss. And besides, hard matches are the ones that make you improve! GL! <3
It's why I don't tilt πhalf the time I catch the most prominent teabagger and hook them, it's satisfying π€£

No. You're probably the only person here who would actually consider quitting just because of some humming...
And what do you expect honestly? You think Huntress is gonna sound like Adele?? No, she sounds like the average person.
I expected Freddy Mercury, damn it ππ

I see tea-bagging as a viable tactic (like a provoke power in an mmorpg.) Some of us killers are non-provoke-able however. We understand when we are being looped to waste time and use tactics to get around that. I'm not going to fault a survivor for teabagging, I AM however going to laugh whenever they try to teabag me and get downed because they weren't paying attention. Nothing pleases me more than grabbing a teabagger of a hatch and they rage-dc.
I've only played a week and already ignore distraction tactics π

Everyone has the right to do what they want in games and people have ego's. Depending on the individual, a person can have a ego (sutle which is needed to be a person and or player to function in 3-D reality) and then you have the lower based or negative ego which is used to control others or make others feel inferior, bad etc. Teabagging goes way back but Im talking specifically about DBD Teabaggers from the Killers perspective so this is what I've noticed/know about them
-- In some or even most cases a teabagger is a person or persons in SWF
-- Decisive players
-- The Exit Gate ones where the Killer can do absolutely nothing about
-- The Pallet ones where they teabag at the Pallets
-- Teabaggers on top of the Hill (These are the real bold ones although they may have Balanced in most cases)
People do them for different reasons. Some do it to insult the Killer which is the most common. Lack of respect or to disrespect the killer. To be obnoxious, to mind game (get the Killer to chase them pallet loop to pallet loop the majority of the game), or to frustrate the Killer. Thankfully the majority of the DBD community is not like this but they can be really annoying and throw you off your game, unless you ignore them or stay headstrong
It is very satisfying to Hook these morons. Teabagging in a nutshell is just disrespect to a player. In fighting games people do it when someone is stunned and or about to win the round (or game)
Where i come from if you teabag, as a rule of thumb you better not lose or in DBD's case, get caught and or sacraficed or Dead. If you defeat a teabagger it crushes they're pride and they will (in some cases) either one, not struggle when you down them or two disconnect to save face or protect they're ego and pride. One of the best and most satisfying plays against teabaggers is Blood WardenI think i covered it all. What do you think about teabaggers? Do they affect your game? Do you ignore them? Do you go out of your way to destroy or ruin they're experience the rest of that game? Please tell me your opinions
Honestly I enjoy hooking those the most, the exit teabaggers, yes that's happened a few times π
