How? Trying to kobe off is legit and most of the time a glitch makes you die on second hook even when you are mashing X.
Mashing X needs to be removed from the game.
You should just hold the button down
It's a nuisance and a headache
-
DS needs to be restored to it's original state.
THE ONLY TIME A PLAYER CAN USE DS IS WHEN A KILLER IS CHEATING.
MAKE NO MISTAKE. TUNNELING OFF THE HOOK IS CHEATING!
IT IS UNSPORTSMANLIKE, SHADY, AND UNACCEPTABLE!!!
I am a killer main and there is absolutely NO QUESTION IN MY MIND. DS should be removed from the game because ALL SURVIVORS SHOULD BE INVINCIBLE FOR 30 SECONDS AFTER BEING UNHOOKED.
WHY?
THE ENTITY LOATHES WEAKNESS. THE ENTITY HAS NO TOLERANCE FOR KILLERS WHO TRY TO TAKE THE EASY WAY OUT SO SURVIVORS ARE INVINCIBLE FOR 30 SECONDS AFTER BEING UNHOOKED.
I am a killer main and I not only support this, I'm highly considering boycotting the game until the devs make this happen.
when I watch streamers or play as survivor for a daily, I am REPULSED by the behavior of my fellow killers. so shameful.
they should be embarrassed.
poor sports that can't hack it so they bully one player and never let them play the game at all.
it's disgusting.
The game is designed to give killers such a huge advantage and do they use that advantage gracefully? No.
They use it to bully other players like big ######### and then, when bullied players DC because they're tired of being bullied, they get punished.
the devs are constantly catering to whiney killers who blame the game for their lack of skill no matter how OP a killer is and they just leave the survivors to be abused, bullied, and screwed over .
I am a killer main and that is the reality of how it is. I don't know why fellow killers deny it. probably because they're the ######### doing it
-
There is no such thing as finishing gens too quickly.
The game design is this:
Killers have so profound an advantage that death is inevitable for all four players. The trick is to escape so fast that you can avoid your demise.
I find it incredibly offensive when people say "get good" but the state of this game right now is absurd.
All of the killers are ridiculously OP and survivors have no way of countering it.
I am a killer main but I do play as survivor with friends.
Every match I play is 4k. I am a red rank level 1 survivor and I escape MAYBE 1 in 15 rounds
So if you are having trouble as killer, it really is that you need to get better. Change your strategy. NEVER chase one survivor for more than 30 seconds. If you don't down them, leave.
Make sure you bust up multiple people working on gens. Run the legion perk that shows you went 2 or more are on a gen. Then when you chase one, KNOW THE OTHERS RETURNED TO THE GEN and sneak back and get them.
The reality is, the killers are WAY too OP. There are multiple killers I can't even play because I feel guilty because they're too OP for an experienced killer.
So if you're having trouble, you need to alter your strategy.
The other problem is killers often feel like they failed if they didn't get 4k.
If you get BRUTAL killer, YOU WON!
if you don't kill anyone, you will won.
You don't need 4k.
As long as you hang everyone once.
And as strategies go...
Stop the camping and tunneling. If you've hung someone, you got them. MOVE ON.
GO GET SOMEONE ELSE.
If you're worried about the hook, you are missing out on the other players.
Everyone I know says the exact same thing.
Most games are 4k. Killers are way too OP.
So none of us have any idea what y'all are talking about.
And lastly
DON'T BE PSYCHED OUT.
LOOPERS WILL ALWAYS GO DOWN BECAUSE YOURE FASTER.
I LOVE IT when people try looping me. It's a guaranteed down.
Stop approaching the game like the survivors have power.
They don't.
Stop getting psyched out.
Take control.
This game gives killers such a huge advantage that is frankly unfair.
So use it.
Whining when the game is already this imbalanced is really unattractive
-
sounds complicated.
all the need to do is make it so mend restores you to perfect health
only when you're hit traditionally do you require traditional healing.
like purge. you're healed when u cleanse.
Having to mend 7 times AND self heal in a match is a painful nuisance
-
actually the new ruin is awesome.
the old ruin was awesome but it needed a time limit for the occasional match where it just couldn't be found...Solution?
Reinstate the old hex ruin with a time limit. When the totem is cleansed, another totem is ignited and it changes to the new ruin.
if the new totem is cleansed, it's over.
if there is no extra totem when the 1st hex totem is cleansed, a new one is created... making a 6th totem.
when EGC starts, this totem CAN BE COME NOED
-
Because killers are already so OP that it wouldn't be fair.
Is there a survivor perk that allows only 4 gens to trigger exit gates?
This game is designed so killers have such a huge advantage that killing survivors is inevitable. The goal then, is for survivors to fix gens and escape before that eventual, inevitable kill occurs.
That is the game.
When I hear killers complain I get so confused. Are we playing the same _? In addition to the game being absurdly killer advantaged, killers are almost always toxic jerks who use their advantage to bully other players, ruin everyone's fun, and just be all around dbags.
I usually get 4k unless I let them go. I have had a few matches where survivors fix gens so fast I'm astonished, but they usually are absolutely massacred so badly that I feel guilty about being so OP.
But I also wonder if killers have unrealistic expectations.
How it SHOULD BE IS:
Sometimes you get 4k. SOMETIMES, you get NONE. Sometimes 1,2, or 3 and you average out at 2 kills per match.
THAT is a successful match.
If 4k every time is your goal, you will feel it's unfair.
Altho. That's possible, too if you practice. I always get 4k.
-
I'm a killer main.
I had never encountered toxic survivors. Ever. Not when I was new, not now. Ive had a couple matches where the fixed gens insanely fast and did well. I've had people that loop ENDLESSLY, but I always catch loops cuz I know how to.
I finally encountered truly toxic survivors. I was plague and was puking on gens.
12 minutes went by with NO ONE touching a gen.
And here is the thing about toxic players
When your need to win overcomes you so much that you suck all the fun out of the game for everyone else, YOU ARE A BULLY.
WE ARE ALL HERE TO HAVE FUN
When I play, I don't think of it as me against 4 people. I think we're 5 people working together to have fun.
So I play to make the game as fun as possible for everyone.
That's why I get thank you messages EVEN FROM PEOPLE IVE KILLED.
it's not going easy on them.
I still get 4k.
I'm just NOT AN ASS.
The toxic players are an epidemic that have ruined the game.
It's so simple.
Play to make it fun, play to win ..whatever BUT DO NOT PLAY IN A WAY THAT SUCKS THE FUN OUT FOR OTHERS.
If you knew what you look like you'd be so embarassed.
Like some big socially stunted dbag that never learned how to play with others so you just piss all over everyone because you're so selfish you don't even realize that your behavior is appalling. That trips me out
These toxic killers (the vast majority) and the toxic survivors.
YOU ARE EMBARRASSING YOURSELVES.
You're like Cartman. Some whiney little brat that's essentially cheating but screaming "My house, my rules!"
GROW UP.
ITS JUST A GAME.
lighten up
We're here to have fun.
-
Why did you return to the hook in the first place?
No it is never ok to tunnel.
This is a game. If you're so desperate to win that you ruin everyone else's time, what are you?
The only time it is okay to tunnel is when you encounter a survivor who tries to sacrifice a teammate or refuses to help a teammate.
Then the game is void and it is your job to punish them on behalf of all gamers.
This game has the potential to be PHENOMENAL. It is destroyed by selfish players.
If I am able to never hook anyone twice till everyone is hooked once, never hook the same twice in a row, and never kill or Mori till everyone is hooked twice AND STILL GET 4/4 99% of the time, what excuse is everyone spewing to justify their shady tactics?
Remember this is 5 people working together to have fun
Play to maximize fun.
No one cares if they win or lose if they have fun.
I get thank you messages from people I kill.
Seriously.
All the time.
Consider others.
You aren't going easy on them.
You're just dividing your attention in a way that allows others to enjoy the game while still focusing on killing all four.
It's really simple.
Don't be a dick.
I don't know why this bothers so many
-
players complaining about noed is HILARIOUS
CLEANSE THE DAMN TOTEMS
-
I criticize it.
It's not a strategy, it's exploiting weakness in game design.
I'm a killer. No hooking anyone twice till everyone is hooked once. No hooking anyone thrice or moris until everyone is hooked twice.
No hooking anyone twice in a row (#4 can't be #1 in round two bookings)
No pursuing an unhooked survivor until they've healed or completed a gen if healing isn't their interest or run no mither.
Playing by these rules I still get 4/4 every time unless I let them go.
There is no excuse for killers to be Petty and Unsportsmanlike.
If survivors die with less than 10,000BP, you were unsportsmanlike in one way or another.
-
I agree. the killers are so OP and so many are toxic on top of that, skill never enters the equation.
I just played a game. killer spawned right on me. I swear he hit me before I even started moving.
And I had some weird thing where my character couldn't run so he just hit me again and hooked me.
camped me, hit me coming off the hook, rehooked me, and camped so no one could take me off
I DID NOT PLAY AT ALL.
Lost all tools, add-ons, offerings and didn't even play.
and that's a far too common occurrence
but you're wrong about one thing.
if someone hides all match and doesn't help or encounter the killer, they may escape but they'll get no devout, no boldness, no light bringer.
but lets be honest.
does skill ever factor in?
as a killer, Michael has add-ons so that he gets UNLIMITED one hit downing and can Mori people he hasn't even hit FOR THE ENTIRE GAME.
It's absurd.
I just played a match where he hadn't hit me once. I went to take a hit for someone else but oops
it wasn't a hit.
he morid my ass in midair. Healthy, unhooked. it's bullshit.
that doesn't take skill. just being within a ten foot range of a survivor and you Mori them.
this isn't a skill oriented game
-
I will acknowledge that since EGC destroyed the pig, you MIGHT not get 4k with her, but you'll definitely get two hooks each and their escape will be 50/50.
you'll always get brutal killer.
personally I don't care if they escape, as long as I get 30,000 base bp. BBQ doubles, survivor pudding doubles and I get 100,000bp per round.
I get my pips so who cares if they live or die.
but as survivor you're lucky to get 20,000 bp per round.
its so lame.
they said they were fixing it but as killer I get 100,000bp every round.
as survivor I'm lucky to get 20,000
-
No. every game I play as survivor or killer is an easy 4k.
I hear killers complain and I'm so confused because in my world, the killers are so OP the game is a joke.
So seeing this is so bizarre to me.
I wonder if we're all separated into different versions of this game because the oni is particularly OP and I don't know how someone can play it and NOT get 4k.
I don't assume it is that you're bad at it. Although, you tactics could factor in. if you chase someone for more than a minute, LET THEM GO. Hooks should be fast and easy. Wasting time in chase is how survivors get gens done. and you HAVE to separate the survivors. If they're on individual gens, none will get done. but NEVER pursue one survivor for more than actually I'll say 30 seconds. First hit SHOULD be upon discovery, second from a short chase. if you're just chasing someone, you're wasting your time.
I seldom see survivors escape a match at all, so for me this is like an alternate reality.
I guess you were getting well organized parties that did gens together. so be smart. run the legion perk that alerts you when two survivors are on the same gen.
use perks that help your weakness.
always BBQ and noed but your other two should be gen oriented.
surveillance is a good one.
you could run ruin.
its so weird to me to hear this because everyone in my group is perpetually perplexed why the devs keep nerfing survivors when killers are so absurdly op.
we go days without surviving a single round as survivor and all my killer rounds are 4k unless I let them go.
maybe there are different versions of this game out there and different people connect. some killer strong, some survivor strong
idk
-
and about BBQ, most survivors know to run to a locker the second someone is downed and stay there till 7 seconds after hooking, so BBQ is more for points than seeing auras. MOST survivors evade aura sensing.
it's not that they're near at all.
-
There might be a few whiners out there, but in my experience, no one minds dying in a fair game and MOST survivors only complain when a killer HAS resorted to shady behavior.
-
not seeing anyone with BBQ DOES NOT mean they're close. it means they're in lockers or running discordance.
If you're camping hooks, that is a little shady. But as long as you don't tunnel unhooked survivors, you're ok
-
I don't feel that skill enters the equation very often.
There is an epidemic of Unsportsmanlike killers in the game.
I actually came to post about it.
I'd say maybe once a week.
Usually it's killers exploiting game design to get 4k.
Downing while you're unhooked and rehooking or tunneling off the hook.
As a killer, when I encounter someone good I enjoy it, but as killer, my advantage is too great and they don't stand a chance, but they make it harder.
-
And do you think borrowed time should be buffed so that...
If you have borrowed time, when someone who doesn't have it unhooks you, you get its effects, too?
It seems unfair to me that if I run borrowed time, others benefit from it and I don't.
If you're stuck with a dbag camping killer, you have no choice but to let him stab you, then unhook the survivor before he can stab again. Often this results in you being downed.
Then when you're hooked, if someone unhooks you, you're assed out.
I think if you have unhooked someone with borrowed time, the perk should also work when the person running it is unhooked.
-
Nurse, hands down.
She's the only killer where a fair game is guaranteed.
She has to work hard for her kills.
When she's chasing you, you'll get away 3 or 4 times.
But if they're good, they'll eventually get you.
I never mind dying in a fair game when I've evaded the killer and had a fair fight
-
What are you talking about?
The game is designed so the killers have a PROFOUND advantage over the survivors.
And they ALWAYS nerf survivors.
Self heal, decisive strike, mettle of a man, insta heal.
The problem with this game is that the killers are WAAAAY to OP and survivors don't stand a chance.
I'm a killer main and a redrank 1 survivor. I go days without surviving.
Every match I play as a killer is 4k, too
The killers need a MAJOR nerf
And moris need to go.
Every time, killers camp their first hook and Mori them as soon as someone takes them down.
It's desperate.
No Mori till you've hooked everyone once. When I play, my rule is no hooking twice till everyone is hooked once and no moriing till everyone is hooked twice.
But im not asking that.
Just once.
Honestly, if you aren't getting 4k every time, you need to work on your strategy because the killers have such a huge advantage that it is INEVITABLE to kill them all unless they can escape, which is unlikely if you know what you're doing.
-
The original Freddy was so OP it was ridiculous.
I'll never forget playing as Freddy. I truly felt guilty. I killed all 4 before a gen was done.
You can ALWAYS see them. Either a white aura or red if they're out of sight, whether distance or crouching right in front of you. The survivors cannot hide, cannot get away. There was no chance.
So everyone started talking about how Freddy is a trash killer.
But the devs didn't understand that the problem was that he was too OP and the solution was to take red auras out of the equation
Instead they did a total rework that made him EVEN STRONGER but is no fun at all and totally unlike the actual Freddy.
As usual, the devs did the worst possible thing they could do.
Go get your money back
OP Freddy was waaay better.
Even if I could only play him with no perks and add-ons.
I still got 4k but I felt less guilty doing it.
-
I'm convinced the devs are sabotaging the game. They consistently make the worst possible choices.
I was a rank 1 survivor. I quit playing because of toxic killers. Now Im a killer main who only plays as survivor when my friends want me to join them. This week I played 3 days in a row with them, all the while trying to get a daily with Kate. I did not survive a single round. When we play it's usually about 4 hours. So 4 hours Monday, tuesday, and Wednesday and I did not survive a single round. every one was 4k. Now, I am as good a survivor as anyone can be.
if I go days without surviving a single match, there is something wrong.
I also know as a killer, I always get 4k unless I let them go. so what is wrong? The way it SHOULD be is everyone has a 50/50 escape/killed average. Even master killers should only have a 2/4K average.
But they're always strengthening OP killers and nerfing survivors. It seems killers want it easy. As a killer, I opposed Self Care's nerf. As a killer, I opposed Decisive Strikes Nerf. I opposed Mettle of a Man's nerf. I opposed instaheals nerf. As a killer who doesn't use ruin and a survivor who hates ruin, I opposed ruins nerf.
Devs only listen to whiney killers and do NOTHING to stop toxic killers, which destroyed the game.
Not a session goes by where I don't have a killer camp me and down me in midair while I'm being unhooked and rehook me. That is so unsportsmanlike. The devs ALWAYS do the wrong thing.
I started the nerf ruin campaign but they didn't do what I asked, which was autodetonate at 5 minutes. Instead they destroy it. I used to be a pigmain. I quit playing it when they destroyed the pig for EGC. Every time the devs make an announcement, I'm enraged and consider boycotting. THEY ALWAYS MAKE THE WORST POSSIBLE CHOICE. What they NEED to do is nerf killers and STOP toxic killers. Severe penalties for camping and tunneling. instead they create challenges that FORCE toxic behavior like "kill all four survivors in the basement in the same round". Why not just beg killers to camp and be as unsportsmanlike as possible?
I also oppose ditching ranks. They're only doing it because the rank system was never real. Just an illusion and they get tired of complaints about a 17 being matched with a red rank killer. So instead of doing their jobs, they ditch ranks altogether.
As a killer main I have never once left a game because of survivor rank or tools. That's absurd. it's hard enough to get a lobby lol
But the devs seem to be listening to the worst players. They coddle toxic killers and survivors who are frustrated with shady behavior are laughed at and told to "git gud"
I am a MASTER survivor. I survive less than 1 out of every 10 matches.
Killers have it way too easy.
I counted once 13 tries to get out of trappers trap and I didn't get out. Michael's unlimited level 3 is so easy to get and it's such a BS way to play.
killers bring the pink Mori and tunnel off the first hook, killing someone as soon as it starts. moris shouldnt work till EVERYONE has been hooked.
It's absurd. Every match I play on either side is 4k.
That's absurd.
almost as absurd as shady killers who resort to exploits and cheap tactics saying survivors need to get good.
Of my group, one friend deleted the game and refuses to play because of toxic killers. Another regular signs off on anger at unsportsmanlike killers.
The devs need a huge wake up call.
They're not going to get it until we as a community boycott when they force destructive changes on us.
-
If I had the power. The first thing I would do is
The entity hates weakness and has no tolerance for lazy killers, so the entity protects unhooked survivors for 30 seconds after removal by filling them with an energy that makes them invincible.
-
For the record, as a killer main
I opposed the decisive strike nerf.
It was ONE TIME PER GAME and half the time they fail the skill check. Plus I run Remember Me so I loved getting an extra hit on the obsession. 9/10 times you just chase them and down them ten seconds later.
I also never minded mettle of a man. Yes I had people escape because of it, just like DS. I never minded. I also never minded insta heal. And as a killer main I recognize that self heal is too agonizingly slow.
When playing a new killer, it should take a couple weeks to get a 4/4.
Everyone wants it easy.
I played an excellent match once as a survivor that I consider to be the perfect match. It was against the Nurse. She chased me several times. At least 3 or 4 times I got away completely and went about my business.
In the end, she DID kill me
But she had to work for it.
THAT is how it should be.
-
Another consideration is to not have OP killers be allowed to use it.
Michael, Freddy.
Who do you all listen to?
Im a killer main. The old Freddy was so OP that I felt guilty playing him. He was undeniably the most OP killer in the game. There was never a time when he could not see the survivors no matter where they were on the map. They had white auras that turn red whether they crouched down hiding in front of you or were across the map. You could always see them. There was no chance for survivor escape. I got 4/4 every time before a gen was done.
All you had to do to make Freddy fair was remove the red auras and I said that over and over again but instead you made him stronger which is hilarious because people hated him because he was TOO STRONG.
TRASH KILLER DOESNT MEAN WEAK.
IT MEANS EASY.
But toxic killers are the biggest problem. As a killer main who gets thank you messages from people I've killed, I know what it is to play fair.
Never pursue a hooked survivor till they're healed. Never hook someone twice till everyone's hooked once. Never kill till everyone is hooked twice.
If I can get 4/4 playing this way, so can everyone else.
I don't expect people to play like me. But I do expect consequences for cowards who use exploits and shady tactics like camping and tunneling.
-
As one of the players that started the whole nerf hex ruin movement
But is considering boycotting because what you've done is so terrible, I will repeat
The solution is to make ruin be how it has always been but to auto DETONATE after 5 minutes.
So that, on maps where it can't be found, the survivors still have a chance.
We all know you cater to killers and that's ok but the biggest detriment to this game is toxic killers.
Your rework of Decisive Strike gave them PERMISSION to camp hooks and tunnel unhooked survivors.
Personally, I feel killers should lose 100,000 BP if they hook someone within a minute of them being unhooked.
You need to stop catering to killers who want the game easy.
Remember, even MASTER KILLERS should have a 2 kill per game average.
Every killer should have a 2 kill average and every survivor should have 50/50 escape/die averages.

@Stains said:
The tomes give you approximately 90 rift fragments assuming you play both survivor and killer so that is 360 fragments. The rift needs 690 fragments for tier 70 to be unlocked so that leaves us with 330 fragment to be farmed by game experience.
1 rift fragment equals 800 exp
10 rift fragments needed for a tier to be unlocked
So to farm one tier you need to play around 14 games assuming you last in a game for about 10 mins (1sec of game time = 1exp, 10mins = 600exp the cap for one game, 14 x 600 = 8400, you wont always get 600 exp out of a game)
In order to unlock the entire rift you need around 460 games which is absurd. The rift lasts for 70 days that means you need to play 6-7 games EVERY DAY. You can shave off a game every day by getting your first game of the day bonus but still that's a lot of games. Keep in mind the queue times for killer and sometimes survivor are long.
I don't know if the devs intended for the rift to this grindy, if they did it saddens me deeply and I regret buying it.
Possible solutions:
Raise the number of rift fragments earned per levelup to two cutting the games needed in half, or put more challenges for possibly more fragments.
They always do that.
Last year, when we needed those vials of serum to unlock stuff... That was when I was TOTALLY into the game, playing EVERY DAY, sometimes up to 6 hours.
I got less than HALF of what the ultimate goal was.
I was astonished. To get all those vials, you'd have to play 12-14 hours a day, EVERY DAY as long as the event lasted.
Who can do that?
All events should require NO more than 5-6 matches per day.
If someone finishes early, good for them. But you shouldn't be encouraging people to spend more than 2-3 hours a day playing ANYWAY.
So, if events require more than that, you're essentially PROMOTING people playing excessively.
-
I 100% support shirtless Michael Myers
it gave me the greatest idea for a kill.
Shirtless Michael Myers is just fun.
You can have wet t-shirt Kate if I can have shirtless Michael
-
The problem with Freddy is that he's so absurdly OP that it's not fair to survivors. He was the first killer i ever played and once i knew how to play the game and i came back to him, i was astonished at how op he is. I felt so bad for the survivors.
But all these changes are STUPID.
All you need to do to fix Freddy is take away the red auras. That way, if he loses you, he loses you. As it is now, when you're asleep you glow white but the second you leave his sight, you become a red aura he can read anywhere.
THAT is the problem
So keep with white glow but ditch the red aura and boom, Freddy is fair.
Also... If u hear the song he's on you... They could expand the radius of the song a bit
-
When I am a survivor, all four of us search for totems and either die of escape without finding them.
When I am killer, they are in wide open spaces like a flashing neon sign you can see for miles.
I'm a hag main, so I trap my totems. When a round starts, I immediately run to my totem to trap it.
4/5 times it is destroyed before I get there. Like they spawn players next to my totem deliberately. Lit totems need to be hidden better.
-
@WatchBloodRain said:
That's actually not bad, a totem placement was in a large open space on that map, I don't think anyone cleansed it as it wasn't ruin, the huntress had devour hope and just slaughtered everyone, I couldn't find the totem, asked where it was the she sent a image of it...
Are u wadicus_prime88?
Because it wasn't in open space. It was inside one of those little side walls.
-
I don't follow. I get pips every match.
The only on Ive had pip trouble on is as killer...not any killer, only the plague.
I plaid a great match. Killed 2 and didn't get a pip
But I delayed their gens for like 10 minutes when they had one left.
I was shocked. But that was one match.
What Ive noticed is that survivors are finishing gens faster than ever.
But other than that it's the same old game.
Tho crippling decisive strike enraged me.
Even as a killer
