  • There is nothing against the rules nor stated as far as I've seen about it.

If you somehow switched within the 5 seconds it would likely get you in trouble.

Otherwise, it wouldn't get you into trouble but can get you seen as a likely scummy player.

I definitely consider this to fall under the definition of “abusing… errors in design to gain a competitive advantage”.

You abuse the fact that the killer can’t change their build once the countdown is locked in, accomplished by the “last second switch”.

Considering that you cannot even see the killer which if you could would likely become an issue of that, but let's say you're a good boy and not stream sniping someone.

Me switching to a flashlight at the 5 second mark before it locks us isn't going to give me a competitive advantage, heck if anything it will make the killer think I'm planning to be toxic and get me tunnelled. Plus items aren't exactly as strong as perks other than at most medkits, but even so if you do it last second, you kinda don't get addons unless you switch to a pre-made character.

  • Shroud of binding would be more ideal with corrupt intervention since that alone already shows you roughly where they all started.

But otherwise other than a fake mori, Shrouds are useless. Rarly see them used for either side, but only survivors remotely use them.

  • Is this some smol pp joke that I'm too much of a hyper pp person to understand?

Otherwise, no. Maybe when I was newer I prob did, but hell nah. I stopped running Unbreakable a long time ago and slowly deleted DS from my loadouts.

  • I'm just going to choose this third option as a joke and because neither apply.

I don't exactly mind/care much of dead hard, is it good? Of course, that's why it's meta.

But honestly I wanted to in general avoid any meta perks and just try many perks and combos, honestly Dead hard just fell out of fashion for me since it either: EXHAUSTED ON GROUND or obvious loop extention which is still good.

Plus I don't need the second chance perks. UwU

(Ok, maybe sometimes during solo queue, but we all know how bad those teammates can be.)

And technically not a killer main, I like to play both sides equally but it mostly just devolves into the one with fastest queue times.

  • New HUD reminds me of a typical mobile game with how everything is spread out due to limited space of mobile phones.

Honestly, old HUD was more ideal, could've just added the survivor portrait AND what hook count survivors are (and how many for killers)

It just seems so... Eh. I mostly hate it since it looks like Mobile games and I'm not a fan of those, and it was simplier with old hud, one area to look at.

  • I'd also attempt to mod it if I knew how to make a mod in DbD since I'm not sure if they even provide us with tools to do so, but...

1: Rework a majority of perks and possibly some killers (Ideally their addons mostly)

Some perks are old and or useless, a relic from older times or even just downright OP or annoying like OoO can be.

Mostly using Otz's perk changes idea he made in one stream with his community since a lot of them are generally good idea.

Also includes reworking any maps if needed.

    2: "Cosmetic Shop"

A little 'feature' that lets you choose a cosmetic (Whenever you own it or not) and view it in a small little ingame area to view cosmetics before purchase. This also would apply to any Survivors and or DLCs in which those DLC characters have adept and training bots or a killer (of same DLC) or survivors (depending on any perks) to show function.

Let's you mix and mingle any cosmetic from any other cosmetic pack, Like mixing a Nea cat shirt with those shorts from her pineapple shirt collection to also see ingame, would ideally allow purchase of both items seperately or from all collections if desired.

    3: Bloodmarket

Adds an area in which you can buy with bloodpoints. All items cost a little extra, but you don't have to shift through a bloodweb.

Can also be used for addons. Allows you to sell offerings at 50% and convert shards to BP. (1 shard = 75BP)

-Does not allow purchase of perks, may not allow purchase of addons/items above a certain rarity, ideally purple and above. Or just iridensent.

-Allows you to sell items and addons as well at a 50% reduction.

  • Only thing annoyed me about the undying combo is when they use it on a killer who doesn't exactly need undying to carry them like a crutch.

If it was a clown or something then sure, it'd help a lot more. But it's annoying and with it's (soon to be old) aura reading ability, just trying to cleanse can be hell against those killers who don't actually need undying.

Although will admit some totem locations are trash.

Do I hate Undying? Not really, but like with those who use DS and UB, it's just annoying to see regardless of the side I am.

Or at least annoying to see undying on a good map pressure killer as previously mentioned.

And survivors find this worse than being camped and tunneled because...

Obviously because if they get camped and tunneled they can use their DS and UB! Gotta get that value!

  • Take note of your surrondings even before going into a chase, especially when going to a generator to have an escape plan.

Last thing you need is something like a ghostface stalking you or an undetectable killer grabbing you... Or getting hit before even making it to a pallet or windows, generally teaching players to be on their feet for when a killer comes so that they can extend chases and NOT hide...

Well sometimes hiding can be more ideal, since it wastes the killer time but if others are on deathhook and you've not been hooked, please do take a chase.

    tl;dr

Take note of your surrondings. Have escape options.

Be ready to be chased and not hide, especailly if others were hooked more than you.

  • I'm saying both sides for sake of the fact that SWF is stronger than Killer, but Killer is stronger than solo queue survivors.

Communication is strong and when the game seems to be balanced around the idea of such and forgetting of SWF or even doing related to it, then you have this problem where killers are getting mad because SWFs have that edge over them and can easily abuse and bully them, but solo queues can't and even in my own experience I can get left to struggle phase because gens before friends.

This doesn't mean a solo queue team can't make it out, it has happened and will happen, generally solo queues are somewhat same level as a killer if not lower at times when matchmaking doesn't get you same ranked players.

You have to do 1/4 of the work. Sure, you may not escape, but that doesn't mean survivor is harder, it just means that it requires your teammates to pull their weight.

Which in case of solo queueing you'll have to end up doing more than 1/4 of the work, whenever because they died or did nothing is a different story but in an ideal scenario, yes.

It'd technically mean every survivor has to spend 100 seconds on a generator.

80 for each seperate generator and 20 each for that last gen so all five gens are done. But of course that can shift heavily based on how much teammates do stuff and any regression perks on killer.

I wonder how many of those survivor votes are killer mains. XD

Killer is by far the easier role to play. You don't have to worry about dieing. You don't have to work on generators, find hex totems or make it to an exit gate and hope you escape. Survivor role is pretty stressful most of the time and I wish it wasn't like that.

As a killer you have to worry about time in general. Time is a precious thing and things like Ruin and Pop will grant you more of that time since a generator is done in 80 seconds.

But I will even say that survivor CAN be stressful especially in a typical solo queue experience when your teammates drop like flies or don't pop gens or anything whiles in a chase, both sides have their own stress factors with varies of things to make it easier like the "Second chance" perks for survivors and all the regression perks and NOED for killer.
