To answer this, I need to make something clear. Sometimes camping/patrolling is necessary
If survivors are hook rushing, then camping/patrolling is the only way to secure some kind of pressure, removing that would be like removing safe pallets, a ######### thing to do. Both would be tremendously crippling how winnable a game is. If you survivors wanna rush a hook and remove all the pressure I've made, I'm gonna patrol at least to ensure I get kills. If you believe this is wrong or even a bad thing, you are too far gone. I need to camp if you are rushing hooks. If you give me a valid reason to stay near the hooks I will, as much as I'd love to patrol if 2 people come to save a person by patrolling I'm pressuring 3 people.

Again, the issue is most hooks have safe loops around them, costing a killer usually 30s for a mediocre looped that doesn't instantly throw the pallet down. That's 30s at least by the hook and extra hook time when you need to stay near, just not a good idea. I'm however happy it you said the hook can last 160s (double usually time) if the killer stays within 20-30ft. That's fine by me, as patrolling on some killers may as well be face camping (I'm looking at you deathslinger) . Also 30s may not sound much but it's 60s doing gens between survivors on top of the 120 they already have- it takes 80 to do a gen.
Okay, thats true, sometimes camping is necessary, but its not necessary like, 5 gens left, 1 survivor on hook and a bubba in front of it... Thats not fair, and losing a pip from rank its not even something that killers cares, some of them just want derank to bully newbies. Thats why this matchmaking is not even fair

After the camping comes the toxicity from surv and killer sides. Camping its the only one that I don't agree cuz theres no way to avoid it, its the only one survivors can't do anything even with bt against bubba. This community is one of the worst I ever known in every aspect, theres cool people but the rest is lots of toxic players. Killers can camp and have this not fair hitboxes, and survivors just have to accept them? And don't tell me "devs already said it will get fixed in the next patch" cuz it won't, if they didn't fixed hitboxes since 2016 it will be not now that it will get the fix.

But even without a survivor close they camp u

Do you know how big 20-30m is? Gunslinger can't even shoot you 20m away. Imagine if he could shoot 30m- that's way to long. Also, a freeze is not a good idea, but a slowdown could work to ensure it only gets one person.
Also, as others have noted, this is abusable. A survivor ensuring that gens can be freely done by looping them within that distance means that they would be able to free the person after all gens are done, with bt, and if they are good they could both escape.
This is just not a good idea.
So that why Im saying this, to killers stop camping and learn how to play.

Then reduce that, I wanted to say an example, then 10-15, I don't mean like lots away, but give distance

How about... no. Start working your basics, looping, evading, coordination, etc. Accept that nothing is going to change anytime soon, or ever. You either enjoy the game or you don't.
I do, but its not fun the killer that facecamp u the whole game, making u waste time cuz u play to have fun and get points etc, if its to say getting facecamped playing or not its the same

Awful idea that has already been suggested for years.
Devs tried that, turns out it's so easily exploitable (what a surprise) they decided to scrap it immidiately.
How it can be exploitable?

I believe this was a thing at one point but survivors would just loop the killer close to the hook so 1 or 2 could just finish all the gens with the person on hook alive until the end.
But thats a killer problem! Leave the survivor then! Get out the range and wait till the other get saved to tunnel it

That's a fantastic way to kill the game.
The devs already tried an idea like this in the past, and survivors abused the hell out of it.
I mean, if the killer camps the hook, the only change is that stops countdown, the hooks still normal, the only problem is that the survivor can stay the whole game in first hook if the killer camps, but thats not a survivor problem and its a killer problem

But, it won't affect killer, because, the hook still count like, the guy get unhooked, cuz its counting (if killer out the range) and still the same. It just won't ruin the surviviors gameplay
