I agree Victor doesn't need to vault pallets. He just needs his ability to skillfully shoot over them back. It was perfectly balanced before. It was difficult but possible and If you missed the timing/distance/direction of your shot, you'd be stunned and get kicked.

Also I disagree that the whole reason to play Twins is to play Victor. Personally, I like playing with Charlotte as well. They really make them feel like one entity when you're doing it well, switching back and fourth, using Victor as a sentinel and using him to down a survivor you hit with Charlotte. Being forced to play Charlotte sometimes is also healthy for the game because it preserves at least some of the basic loop/chase gameplay so survivors have fun, and you learn the basics of M1 killing. Honestly Victor without Charlotte sucks. I've tried Victor only, and if Survivors just hop in lockers there's nothing to do. You need the big sister. The synergy between them is very fun imo.

  • I agree with a lot of your sentiments. I have played Twins exclusively since the day they released.

1.I personally think switching back from Charlotte feels fine. It feels bad at first but you do eventually get used to it. Maybe it discouraged new Twins players but I don't mind it. There is an add on to improve it slightly, but I never run it. I think they. Could buff that add on numbers. I think it's the yellow hood. I think they put that cool down though to discourage camping hooks/gens. I think camping would become really strong unless they gave survivors a mechanic to slow her down I.E. tie her shoelaces so she falls down like an old timey cartoon. Kind of like how you slow down dredge by locking lockers.

    2. The Hotboxes are THE WORST!!! I noticed it the minute they broke them. It happened overnight. One day they were not al and great, and the next day they were trashed. It happened when they broke the Huntress aim, but they refuse to fix it. Literally every pallet is an unbreakable god pallet now. Attack on Titan walls is well said. It was NEVER like this before. Victor could jump pallets. It took a little skill especially, but it was rewarding and felt great. I don't think Victor needs a scamper ability. He just needs his hotboxes fixed. Before they broke, I could get a hit at literally every pallet in the game consistently with Victor except for the top of harvester.

Also also, this problem is even worse because Victor doesn't initiate an official chase, so survivors can vault pallets an unlimited number of times. It's absurd. I haven't played in weeks now because they refuse to fix this, and it's insane.

    3. Letting survivors hold Victor is just to give survivors a chance. If they couldn't hold him then the Twins player would just play Victor only and they would be incredibly overpowering. The drawback for survivors holding is that if one is holding Victor, you're essentially playing a 1 V 3 which is a hefty price to pay. I have no problem with the way that is now. I do think you should be able to recall Victor after 30 seconds if you want though. Having him on the totally wrong side of the mapxos frustrating sometimes, but it's not that much a problem overall.

As far as your rework suggestions for, I like the idea of Charlotte teleporting to Victor after downing a survivor. That would definitely decrease slug meta.

Giving Charlotte haste after switching would encourage camping too much though, and again Victor doesn't need scamper. He literally just needs his hotboxes fixed the way they were a month ago.

    My suggestions:

1- Give Victor chucky footsteps so Survivors feel like they have counterplay.

2- GIVE VICTOR HIS OWN COSMETICS! I want a Victor Top Hat.

3- Bring back frosty eyes sometime. I was traveling for the one week they have them out and missed the ONLY free cosmetic they ever released.

    4- FIX VICTOR'S HITBOX NOW!

5- Do nothing else. They're a fine killer. They're fun to play, and fun to play against once you know what you're doing.

6- If you are going to something, maybe let Victor sacrifice himself to send a survivor to the nearest hook at the cost of a 1 minute cool down.

  • Before this glitch, they were a top tier killer. Also before their big nerf a couple years ago, everyone agreed they were high A tier at least. And that nerf didn't really make them weaker; it just made them less comfortable to play. And they're just generally fun to play. Switching back and fourth, getting gen grabs with stealthy charlotte, pouncing on survivors far away, grabbing people who Tea bag you at the exit gate, chasing survivors into Victor like a trap and just generally controlling the map being 2 places at once feels great. Plus they're the king and queen of comebacks. Even if you have 0 hooks and only 1 gen left, you can still pull out a 4k if you can get 3 people injured at once. I can't count the number of times I've gone from zero kills to 4k AFTER the gens are done. I'm not trying to flex because it's just a game and no one cares. I'm just trying to say Twins are fun and massively underrated (except for right now when they're a dumpster fire).

I've noticed that sometimes when I swap to Victor, he can no longer move other than using his power, then once you jump he is killed as if placed on top of an object.

Can't wait to see that rework tho a part of me is scared ๐Ÿ˜

Yea things like that happen sometimes and suck. I also find victor gets stuck in objects sometimes and can't move at all or even be kicked. I think glitches like that are rare enough though that I don't complain much. It's the ones like this that affect every game that make me crazy. I don't have much hope though. A few months ago, the Twins would softlock literally every game, and they didn't fix that for like 2-3 months. It was tragic.

None of this gives me hope for the rework. I don't think there are any Twins lovers working at BHVR. Their stated goal is to reduce slugging, not increase kill rate or make Twins mains happy. And I get it; there aren't many Twins players and they need to make the most people happy, but they did take my money and owe me a working product. Fix the Twins!

I haven't noticed as I rarely use them.

But would you mind telling us what build you have as well as add-ons?

And thanks for the information on the bug.

Yea try playing them. It's really noticable. You can only jump pallets from really far away. You used to be able to jump them from just close by just by aiming up. You now have to be a significant distance away. And at that distance, you'll often end up jumping straight over survivors without damaging and then get kicked in the face. That on top of the insane bonks. Literally stand next to or even just near any object as Victor, turn your around and try pouncing. It happens 100% of the time.

And for build, my go to is Lethal pursuer, pain res, deerstalker and BBQ. The idea is that since Victor can't kick gens, you need to slow the game down by injuring, downing and hooking survivors. That's why you want Lethal to get pressure immediately. Scourge is good because it's passive and strong. BBQ is good because without it, you will often find yourself after your first hook running around like a chicken with his head cut off. You can't afford to do that as Twins. You need pressure always. And Deerstalker is a must because you have to slug at least a little. A rule of thumb for slugging is only do it if you know exactly where you're going and can get a hit/down quickly. Don't run around for 60 seconds all across the map not finding anyone. It's a waste of time, and it pisses off the survivors. Don't go for the 4 man slug unless you're getting super gen rushed and/or the survivors are being jerks.

Big caveat though, I think Ultimate Weapon could easily replace both Lethal Pursuer and BBQ. I just don't have that, and it's literally never been on the shrine of secrets. I just don't want to spend more money on this game.

As far as add ons, I do have some tips there as well. Objectively, the strongest add on combination is Silencing Cloth and Spinning Top. Being undetectable as Charlotte for 20 seconds whenever you switch from Victor is insane and leads to tons of free hits on even very good survivors. The spinning top just makes survivors drop items and med kits definitely counter the twins. That's my sweaty combo.

Lots of people like Toy sword, and yes it's nice but really not necessary once you're good.

Overall, I really like Pinky nail and Foresty Stew or Madeleine's Scarf. It's a comfort pick for me not necessarily the best ones, but I just really like to be able to deploy Victor faster (not using pink nail makes sending out victor take longer than actual child birth,) and I love how he feels running with stew. You're so fast with it, you can sometimes run under pallets before survivors can even drop them.

But also none of this means anything until they fix the Twins. Right now, every pallet is a literal infinite, because survivors can vault pallets an unlimited number of times against Victor since he doesn't start a chase, and he can't vault or bloodlust. If a survivor knows that Victor is broken, they are completey safe at every pallet.

K rant over. I hope that answers your question.

  • Could one of the things you do before these long term projects be fixing the Twins? We don't even want a rework. Just fix victor so he can jump over pallets again. Just reset the Twins to how they were 3 weeks ago.

  • Interestingly, they did somehow break Victor's hitbox. I think it was an accidental spaghetti code thing. It happened at the same time that they broke Huntress. It also doesn't feel like it was done on purpose. His pallet interaction is super glitchy and inconsistent, and at the same time he started bonking on things behind and to his left and right even if they're off screen. Add that to the fact that he started hitting invisible walls when you jump from a high place, there's just no way this was on purpose. They also never said anything about updating this, and they have been pretty good about telling us what changes they make. I have to believe they wouldn't push through a stealth nerf that just glitches the killer on purpose. I do however believe they aren't going to fix it or do anything until the rework. (I'll come back update this and admit I'm wrong if they do.)

  • It seems like they close/delete any complaints that they consider duplicate. If someone else has brought up an issue, they don't let multiple people complain about it. I kind of get it from a forum management perspective, but it definitely feels bad when your complaint gets closed without a human response. I

But I personally feel your pain, (I play Twins exclusively and have since they released.)

  • If anyone sees this, please don't wait until the rework to fix this. It should take y'all 2 seconds. Literally just revert the Twins to the way they were 1 week ago. Please please please

  • Also a twins main. It's terrible. I looked at the patch notes. All it says is "Fixed an issue where Victor could not jump through a window of the Grim Pantry building"

I think when they fixed the ability to jump through this obscure window, they changed Victor's hitbox so now we constantly bonks on pallets, windows, air and anything behind or near him.

Also anyone else notice an increase in jumping through survivors? I do it constantly. And please don't say I'm getting juked. The survivor is cornered and literally stuck and I jump straight at center mas and hit the wall behind them. This happens routinely.
