Fix camping and tunneling
Use DS and borrowed time. And if you get camped/tunneled and dies, why not just move on to the next game? Escaping is not the only purpose of survivors.

- Im still against that. The playerbase isn't THAT big, it would probably increase the que times even more!
- That only counts for one emblem, The Survival one. Which could get some tweaks i guess.
- "They just hate running gens I suppose" ... what does that mean? Also they will probably do some more tweaks now that ruin is gone.
- Somehow im against that.
- Okay then using flashlights, keys, instaheals are not toxic as well. Oh also this "They blame killers instead of improving their own skills." statement doesn't really fit this point. I agree that it's true tho.
If you made a PvP competitive game, unlike peaceful game Minecraft, then you have to consistently balance every aspect of the game (map, items, perks, movement speed, etc). How can you balance the game based off of who? How can you tell? Successful games already out there in the market sample from high rank players, because they're the ones who really understand the game and have passion for it. And very important key here, those games have "Normal" and "Ranked" modes.
Since current ranking system is broken and pretty much anyone can SWF and get to a high rank as a survivor, devs have no idea to tell who are really good players. That's why they listen to everyone... And this is why the balance went to hell. Understand the logic now?
It's not that you divide the game into "Normal" and "Ranked" once you get enough players, it's that you will get more players if you divide them. Queue time will only suffer when this initially launches, and it will get better than before. This way, naturally, casual players will fall into "Normal" and competitive players will fall into "Ranked". Just think about how many people played League of Legends before season 1 (2009) and how many people started playing after season 1 (when they have Rank mode).
This kind of "competitive" PvP games, people naturally want to try hard. But for those players who want to just enjoy get in the way. As I said, it's not their fault since there's no mode that they can just enjoy the game, like "Normal".
4. Have you seen what most survivors do when the game starts? You're talking as if you never played this game before lol. They just hide and wait until some gets hit (being chased), then they "think" about running gens. Some even went to chests or totems... They don't even run straight to gens when they're completely safe. That is good 30 seconds to 1 minute of the early game. Gen repair time is 80 seconds. If all 3 survivors started each gen immediately after the game started, 3 gens should be repaired at least half way. But I don't see that in most match ups. Revealing one's aura can speed up the game and make survivors get used to being scared and just run gens.
5. So you think flashlights, keys, instaheals are toxic? They are not even considered to be toxic. Devs made them so we can use them lol. How is using a game feature toxic? And I don't know when was the last time you played DbD, but instaheals got nerfed.

As someone who plays both. Everything is survivor sided. Wait times are really long on survivor side because NOBODY WANTS TO BE THE KILLER ANYMORE. Think about that. Everyone wanted to be killer at launch.
Exactly my point! So many new players is a good thing, but since they start the game as a survivor (mainly because of SWF, friend's invites), there are a lot of survivors. So devs are only listening to survivors (devs doesn't want them to leave), which resulted in less killers. General queue time became hell for survivors which will result in less users in general. Pretty bad strategy by BHVR.

I do that on lol and yeah is toxic xd. Also I spam the thumbs up emote just to make them more mad :3
First, you don't know what toxic really means, and second, you still do it when you "think" it's toxic? Hmm.
I think somewhere in the previous comments, ReallyBigShoe mentioned something like this, "just because you're annoyed doesn't mean it's toxic." Also, this is the first thing you learn in any Law courses, "just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right."
So if I solo kill you in the lane, let's just say, 7 times. And pretty much you get destroyed. I don't spam mastery 7 emote or any emotes at all. Just kill you every time you return back to the lane. You call your jungler, and I get double kill. In your definition, I'm being toxic, because your screen is grey most of the times and you're not having fun. So in this case, I have to let you live and farm and get kills. Do you see what's wrong here?
It just sounds like you're not good at that game and complaining why opponents can't do what you want them to do. It's PvP. They have their goals as much as you have yours. Realize that first. Doing what they are supposed to be doing is NOT toxic. I said this before.

I didn't see the posts in the middle. Basically, what these two guys, FaceCamper420 and ReallyBigShoe, said are correct.
If you still don't understand what they are saying or what I'm saying, then competitive PvP games aren't for you. Like I said, try Minecraft with your friends. It's actually peaceful I recommend it.
(So if I spam my mastery 7 emote or ctrl+4 (laughing) on League of Legends, I suppose it's toxic as well? lol no, not even close. Report devs for making those in the game if you want.)

I mean....................it just makes the game super boring...and if I'm the person they camp/tunnel I am sad cuz there is little to no counterplay since I'm a new survivor with little techables. As a killer,I play "fair" because I follow the rules the community has like "not camping/tunneling" and it makes the game more interesting and fun!
As the others said, trying to ruin someone's fun is considered toxic. And since these kinda things (hex) ruin people's fun,I consider them toxic :3
That is very wrong idea I'm afraid most na server users have. Most survivor users "force" killers to "have fun" in their way. What if killing all survivors is the way killers have fun? How can you tell him/her with a straight face that s/he ruined your fun? Are you saying killers have to kill their own fun to make survivors have fun?
All I'm saying is everyone has different ways of having fun. If you really hate getting tunneled or camped, I'd recommend using "Object of Obsession" perk and draw the killer's attention and just practice looping. I've done this and it helps. You'll understand the mechanism after some games.
If you felt that was toxic so when you play as a killer, you "loosen" (the term you're looking for is not "fair", it's "loosening difficulty") the game a bit, that's totally fine. Killer can literally do anything. But what I'm saying is don't force other killers to do the same just because you felt it that way. Like I said, it's a tactic.
This game has way more depth in terms of thinking, apparently most na server users don't get (don't worry, I've met really skilled players before, only a handful tho). Most survivors I've seen just waste pallets or looping takes 10 seconds...
Keep practicing.
PS. Often, you will feel the game is boring if you're not good at it.

How is tunneling, camping, and mori even considered toxic?
If survivors use med-kits with "Styptic Agent" or "Syringe", or purple/pink key, do they consider as toxic too then? What about swf? There's a reason why there's no in-game chat, you know.
Tunneling and camping are tactics killers just chose to do it that game. If killer camps then run gens and get out. Campers usually get 1-2 kills anyways. And they don't improve on looping and searching survs and late game tactics. Because of those whiners, devs made you guys DS and borrowed time. Why not use it instead of whining more?
Tunneling is actually crucial as playing killers. In order to kill all survs, you have to effectively hook survivors, not just a random dude each time. Killers don't have to play "for" survivors. They have their own goals, which is to kill survs. If survivors call it "toxic" because killers are trying to kill you, well then, might as well just go play Minecraft or something. This game isn't for you.
There are so many fresh new survivors, which is good. But they start playing it recommended by their friends (which ends up SWF). And those old players teach them the wrong way, such as camping is bad because "I can't save my friends", instead of saying, "it's whatever that killer decides to do." And they pass on the BM to another new players, and so on. This is just a bad cycle of new players.
Blame survivors who won't run gens, and searching chests when they have to save survivors, and get so scared and do nothing, instead of blaming killers who are doing what they are supposed to be doing.
I'm so sad about how low mindset na server survivor users have.
Learn to improve your own skill sets (hitting great skill checks, looping, pallet stuns, flashlight saving, etc), rather than typing BM to killers.

These all could've been fixed only if they added Normal Match-ups and Ranked ones. Obviously the current ranking system is broken. You just play a lot and you rank up. You can literally be brain-dead and still be rank 1. Because the way to "pip up" or get more points has a lot to do with surviving for a long time. Unskilled or scared players don't run gens or save survivors (literally cleansing totems or searching chests all game) ends up surviving and gets out through hatch or dies.
(I've been in rank 1 all seasons NA server since I started playing 2018 Summer).
Some people actually play to get better (both surv and killer), and others just "enjoy" by goofing off and doing nothing. That's why we need to make rank system way harder and more delicate (not just surviving the longest = more points = rank up), and have it separated from normal queues. Queue time will suffer quite a bit, but I assume most "competitive" players will agree, I'd rather play with hard-thinking skilled players than with brainless monkeys.
I know this is besides the point of Hex:Ruin nerf, but I just can't stand the way developers are doing. They need to have a better game testers or something, because the one they have is Mathieu.
I'll leave with my favorite quote from the movie, Steve Jobs (2015).
"Your products are better than you are, brother." -Steve Wozniak

They don't see the big picture here. They may be great developers, but completely hopeless when it comes to driving the company.
They are only favoring survivor users which seems right as of now, since there has to be 80% of them every match. But "only" favoring survivors will result in less killers (they get tired of how impossible it is to kill surv or get BM by survivors for killing(...?)). Less killers will result in longer queue time, longer queue time will result in less users in general. Surely new users who just started playing as survivors do not want to wait 10 minutes for a game that lasts shorter than 10 minutes.
Sometimes you have to let go of the temptation right in front of your eyes and favor the "right" users who are willing to say bitter things to you and willing to stay even after the worst patch.
Think about it. Long-time users will return no matter what, but new users can leave anytime when you bring up a bad patch. Just think who values more. Listen to killer users as much as you listen to survivor users. Because in the end, you can't have a match without a killer.
PS. I've been watching Salgu since his playtime was 3000.
