85% escape rate while mostly playing in a trio. I feel like it could realistically be 90%+ if I actually cared enough. Most of my deaths are because we get a killer that manages to get basement or a far from gate hook in endgame and I just want to go next so I text my trio to take the 3out or 2out if the random got wiped. I wish they would make matchmaking more strict, maybe then I’d take this game semi serious. The current one is a snooze fest full of mismatches. I versed Momo a few times for example and 90% of the time with the most clueless random imaginable while he played his main blight or oni. Then when I catch him 4 stacked it’s his onryo that he doesn’t play and gets 4outed or billy getting 3outed with like 3-4 stages max. 2025 needs to be the year Bhvr gives us the matchmaking we originally had when it was first introduced 🙏🏽

  • Just tested and diahype now appears correctly to non-pc players as of 8.4.0. Killer POV below is on Epics (which used to appear as default) and survivor POV on steam. Thank you.

  • I remember when they first introduced it and so many people were complaining because they had to actually try if they wanted to win. No free wins just because you queued as a certain killer with a certain loadout or automatic loss because you’re not playing with friends.

There would be so many content creators getting humbled right now if sbmm was working like how it was when it was first introduced. It’s hilarious to me how a lot of these streamers believe this mmr works and that they’re in high mmr, yet almost all of their survivors can’t shift tech or even know how to hold basic checkspots..

I’ve gotten momo’s blight and oni at least 6 times in the past year when I’m duo queued and we get 2 randoms that couldn’t tell you what day it was even if their lives were on the line. But when I’m 4-stacked we can go on a 10+ win streak that day and still get killers so bad that I zone out. It’s so sad 😞

Seems like someone here doesn’t like Hillbilly being able to effectively defend hook during end game.

Was just suggesting a change that would add counterplay to the endgame and not make save attempts pointless. Currently the best play is to just accept the person on hook is dead and take your outs if the billy decides to facecamp.

If majority of the playerbase believes it's a skill issue that the survivors weren't able to successfully get the unhook against a facecamping instadown saw billy that can't overheat endgame while AFC is deactivated w/o trading or worse, then it's obviously just a bad suggestion from me.

  • @TheArbiter said:

I agree that his initial turn rate when in overdrive is what makes him extremely deadly, however giving overheat when within 12m of a hook would be too much considering how many hooks are on maps now

That third suggestion is just a bonus to make the endgames more interesting. There's other killers that can also make it pointless to attempt a save endgame, so it's a deeper root problem. The first 2 suggestions should definitely be implemented though.

  • 8.2.1 Bugfix patch and this is still ongoing.

Below I attached another screenshot of my pov (PC Steam Player) and the killer streamers pov (PC Epic Store). The shirt is bugged for all non steam users. I also attached a third screenshot of how its bugged against singularity when slipstreamed. It appears all black and untextured.

No. I think it’s much more likely that the MMR formula is doing something controversial, and players would figure it out if they knew their MMR numbers.

Also, it would cause streamer drama, as it would prove that some of the streamers are keeping their MMR low, so they look better in the games they stream.

I agree, I‘ve had this exact thought as well. Really wish they would just show us our ratings in the egs. There would be a handful of players insta leaving the egs to avoid showing their ratings lol

  • Bhvr removed them in order to save bandwidth. I used to flex my inventory until they removed them, which led me to seek info on the cause. This thread explains it well → https://www.reddit.com/r/deadbydaylight/s/4rmV1valIL

  • He just needs some minor balancing nerfs because he’s currently overtuned.

    • Revert the initial turn rate to .75sec
    • Remove cooldown bonus from overdrive
    • Make overdrive slightly harder to get (potentially add toggle feature similar to trickster that decays if not activated in time)
    • Rework lopro
    • Adjust weaker addons accordingly

Just some off the dome suggestions. Emphasis on the turn rate being reverted though.

  • Lot of controversial things in the game that've been changed/reworked/removed that aren't coming back no matter how much people are coping. For every hug tech enjoyer, there's at least 3 haters. Rip hug tech 2024.

I suspect oni 180s are next and some people will say "I guess they want us to play nurse with 4 slowdowns". Lol.

I've only been playing since 2017, so what do I know.. But I think there's also an inevitable nurse rework just waiting to happen after it's all said and done, and I'm curious as to when it will happen.

  • Why do people fall for these bait posts?

    Thats it. Good day.

  • @Brokenbones said:

People claiming to be Blight fans defending hug tech by saying "normal" blight is boring/too easy

    lol

Right lol? So the intended playstyle.

I personally wouldn't mind if other parts of his kit was tuned down, including the new iris, and leaving "hug tech" as is. All it results in for me is getting an easier flare 70% of the time and watching blight slide off the environment that he thought he could collide on.

I don't care either way, but now I no longer have to watch a blight attempt a hug tech and have to w key the loop or prepare to flare. Nope, I get to count rushes and always keep something inbetween me and the blight knowing he can no longer slide off of stuff. Bring on the "boring bump logic" that I'm already used to. Still have to test the ptb so see what they've done with the boy.

easy hits? An Oni that can consistently and successfully pull off 180’s is rare. You sir need to go play some of these killers you want to nerf.

Rare seems like a reach. I face them all the time, so it's expected at this point. IMO the only thing keeping oni in top 10 is the unintended flicks.

  • Can I get these 'insane' survivors that you're getting when I play killer? With plague I haven't lost a single match in months and I've played a solid 100 matches on her and I still vs the same terrible survivors. Sometimes I stomp so hard that they can't even complete a single gen.

On spirit I'd to try to lose and even then haven't lost a single game in months and I don't even use her brainless addon combo (mdr/blossom). I only play spirit because it's how I stay fresh on looping her for longer, even though most of the chase is just guessing.

I picked trickster up after his update to gauge his strength and out of 50 matches I maybe lost 3.

Nemesis I only play with 2 perks to give me an excuse to tunnel because it's funny on him, and i still have like a 70%+ winrate. Most "losses" just beings draws because I brainlessly tunnel on him and don't pressure the gen crankers.

Still, I genuinely don't understand how people are losing 20+ matches!? I guess I can test myself and start playing doctor in pubs (I only play him in 1v1s vs my duo who is an insane survivor) and see my results. But losing that many games just sounds made up because of how bad matchmaking is.

I'm gonna make an alt youtube account, since my main is for survivor and I'll start uploading all my killer matches and remove mic audio so that if there's any questioning of my gameplay, I can always link it.

  • Me and my duo play on NA West coast servers. We play w/o discord vc, but we always use steam chat. Always looking for really good loopers with great game sense that don't need to rely on vc callouts. LMK if you want an add, unless you're specifically looking for people that use vc.

  • @Devil_hit11 said:

then you would need skill to loop as survivor. cannot have that.

Lets also remove survivor scratch marks while we’re at it. DBD can then go the more “horror game” route like OP suggested

  • Who asked for ormond changes is the question???

Nostromo is probably my least favorite map atm. 95% of the pallets you don't have to break as killer. The "safest" pallet is in front of main and you can still catch the survivor and win a 50/50 with BL1. Hugging tiles feels terrible, awful gen spawns, terrible main window with the worse drop down window possible. Only thing decent about the map is the size.

Garden is still a very strong map for survivors because of main building. They weakened a lot of loops on the map and they are now in a good spot. All they have to do is remove the strong window downstairs that chains with the safe pallet because that window always chains with a jungle gym or T/L. Then remove the upstairs windows in the very back rooms and keep the one in the downstairs back. Boom fixed

Borgo now has a lot of 50/50 fillers and dead zones despite it's size, which is a problem. You need a very efficient team on gens to win vs a competent killer on this map.

Hawkins is literally 50/50 pallet city. There should be no reason why 95% of the pallets forces you into a 50/50. Nerf quantity, Buff strength.

Badham maps have 5 versions.. Why? I personally think the first version is the most balanced. I wouldn't really change much other than adding a hook inside of main building when basement doesn't spawn because of the annoying sabo/boil over squads. Remove the other 4 versions.

Swamp.. Where is my swamp rework?? Please..

Toba.. One of the worse visually looking maps in the game. Terrible to navigate. Can't hug a lot of loops. Bad fillers all around. Actual awful jungle gyms, like, I don't think any other map tops toba landing's jungle terms in weakness and actual dog design.

Gideons is still one of the most boring maps for both sides. Predrop safe pallet and chain the next till they're all gone. Not much interaction, barely any windows, very small size, bad gen spread.

Coldwind maps got completely gutted for whatever reason. The only one that really needed changes was just fractured cowshed because of it's size and the strength of the pallets. Now its a 50/50 whether you get good or bad rng. But my worse of them all is rancid abattoir. I felt like that one was the most balanced. Good pallet strength considering the size of the map. One breakable wall in main that made the windows completely playable for killers. And now.. well.. Now it's possible up there in the top 3 worse survivor maps.

Macmillan maps were given a new version each for whatever reason. Again wasting resources on unnecessary stuff no one asked for. Please remove them because they're all bad. Macmillan is one of the few realms that are balanced for both sides.

Haddonfield is just a very survivor sided map vs most killers. Very safe buildings and good gen spread. The buildings are the main issue. Reduce the size of the giant highway that y'all constructed in the middle of a neighborhood to bring the buildings closer together. Nerf the buildings and add extra space behind the buildings with loops. This would also help with stealth killers that don't want to get spotted a mile away and also against killers like nurse/huntress/trickster. Being out in the open is not want you want on this map.

  • I'm actually the opposite. I want them to make it a bit more strict so that I can face better survivors more consistently as well as get better randoms when I'm playing survivor with my duo. I mainly play nemesis and I'd say he's a mid tier killer. Mainly because he usually needs 3 hits before getting a down. All I run is shadowborn and enduring as perks and marvins blood with ne-A parasite. Any slowdowns and my games become too easy and boring. I don't even tunnel unless they bring very survivor sided maps or I can tell they came to win at all costs, like bringing syringes, styptics, etc.

I guess it's different for every player, but it's extremely boring facing survivors I'm much better than. It's much more satisfying beating players that I can actually compliment while in chase.

  • Oh no they capped his m2 at 90 degrees.. A killer that when played by a 'decent' player can guarantee hits at most loops with an m2. Have played as, went against, and faced my friend countless times in 1v1s and can say good riddance. I still think he will sit in a good place, his height and 3rd person view still give him a great advantage at a lot of loops.

As for going back to blight, knowing bhvr, they might be giving him the nurse addon treatment ;)

  • I feel like you just need to have good game sense on top of being good with flashlights for it to be worth. Yellow range is the best fl addon for pallet blinding by far. Once you get very good with it, you'll memorize the distance to just barely stand in range to chain blind before pathing to your next loop. It also depends on your playstyle. I like fast paced chases, so if I get too much distance and the killer has been getting cooked chasing me, their brains might go on overclock mode and realize they need to drop chase and instead go pick on lil timmy doing a gen.

On the other hand, you have 97% of survivors (generous number) who stand still while single blinding at pallets and they wonder why they take a hit or instantly go down after lmao. Seen too many.

  • Do you play on NA west? If yeah, then you only typed your #702f w/o the name. Couple results show up

  • Lethal, corrupt, deadlock, pwyf, j.myers memorial, plus tombstone has to be Myer's most broken loadout. With this current match making, I'm yet to lose with that loadout. You need 4 good survivors to beat this. Most survivors only know to hop locker and rarely do they know they can be in a dead zone and just hop on a gen to prevent the mori. But being chased by a 130 speed myers is not easy to evade. I'm either getting a free locker/gen grab and saving my pwyf stacks or you're getting moried. Pick your poison

  • Let's be honest, reverting that basekit buff was the move. PH very obviously didn't need that buff, he's fine basekit and sits in a very good spot compared to the rest of the killer roster. Don't know what bhvr was thinking.. I'm assuming they were too lazy to rework most of his addons and instead decided to take the easy route until they received everyones concerns? Show some love to his addons and PH gets left alone after. MANY other weaker killers that need buffs instead
