That's not quite true. They said they resetted the data on the previous test before the one this month.

I don't think so? They literally said the opposite on the final test, and were using more data than ever before. And on the forum post for current SBMM they make no mention of resetting the data. Maybe there's somewhere else they said it?

  • i hate slugging but tbh when I was playing twins for adept I would just like...accidently slug. Like it just HAPPENED. Yanno? Like

oop i downed this guy oh hey there's someone over there, guess i'll send victor over. ok got him time to pick this guy u- oh someone is in Victor's detection range guess i'll swap back and down them quickly too. ok back to char- oh the last survivor is in my face so i'll down them and oh god everyone is slugged. im so sorry.

  • no, see both are bad but no way out is worse

remember me forces survivors to actually be on a gate but with no way out you can see the gate is blocked from like a mile away then just afk immerse until it's unblocked

You cannot opt out of the chat filter, it's on by default for all users.

let me say cum you cowards

  • Ethan wouldn't fit in because he can't shout a random cuss word anytime something loud happens

  • idk why it has a range at all to be honest

  • aim better

like unironically. it will take a bit of practice but really, if you can land your shots you're set. he has low map pressure though so even if you insta end your chases, you might still lose if the team is organized

  • Long chases with little to no counter-play. Trickster has the potential to end up the same way. Imagine every time Trickster has LoS of you for at least 3 seconds you eat 2-3 blades. The blades pull out fast, the first few the trickster throws have almost no spread, and he loses very little distance for doing so. On top of that he has 60. You will die. Eventually. And there isn't much you can do about it.

Legion was similar but worse. Every time he stabbed you with frenzy, you'd lose a chunk of your timer. So he could just hit you and wait for his cool down over and over until your timer ran out and you died. Obviously legion in frenzy can ignore pallets and windows which means you would just be doomed, but it would take him a long time to kill you. Trickster's effectiveness at least depends a bit more on what tiles you have, where as OG Legion you were super doomed (that's not even considering the moonwalking to cheese deep wound).

Now, none of that makes him "OP" because even if he can down you with little counter play, it is still very time consuming to do so. So he will likely still lose. IMO it's fundamentally a badly designed power though.

  • I've said it a few times here and there but the UI has some GOOD things in it! Hook counter and portraits (they look ugly as they are but imo they are valuable) are really really good!

but ######### dude the layout is soooo bad! They just threw everything everywhere

  • There is some good stuff about the UI. Most people seem to like the hook counter and portraits. It's MAINLY the layout that people hate. And I agree. It's atrocious. Takes up so much screen space to tell you so little.

In the Q&A it sounded like they're kinda stuck with the new UI for now for some reason, even though they know majority of people don't like it. However they did say that after the release they're gonna keep looking at feedback about it from everybody (they meant all platforms) so they might change it in the future.

Because they ARE stuck with it. Clown's rework is tied to the new UI. Don't know if you noticed, but they moved almost everything out of the bottom left so they can have a fancy gas effect. The gas has the color of whatever bottle clown has equipped.

Possibly the least efficient way they could have gone about doing that. Style over substance as usual.

Took 3 protection hits, MoM activated, but didn't protect from dying state.

Occured when Deathslinger shot his gun at me. and hit me after reeling me in. Don't really know how to reproduce it. This is how it happened.

    1. Took 3rd protection hit in front of a hook.

    2.MoM activated.

    3.I got hooked.

4.Got saved and healed (the "I'm invisible" icon in the hud disappeared, but MoM remained activated in the perk hud).

5.Healthy -> injured hit. All is fine, although still no you-can't-hit-me-icon in the hud. MoM seems activated.

6.Deathslinger shot me, and downed me. MoM is still activated in the perk hud but didn't protect from injured -> dying hit.

On step 5 did he shoot you? MoM will not activate if you are suffering from Deep Wounds. So if you're healthy, then get deep wounds, MoM will not work until you mend. If you get hit while in Deep Wounds, it does not activate.

I don't know why this is how it works, but it is how it works and how it has worked since it's release.

    Look at it this way.

    Your friend has three choices

Play with you and meet high rank killers, play alone or play with players around ther same rank and learn the game until they get to your level.

You have to think about not only your own circumstance but the new players who came in with the ST dlc who want to play the killer. They never had any choice to be matched with you just because you wanted to play with a low ranked friend.

If I queued with 3 rank 15 friends I would not be against a new killer, I would be matched against a rank 10-11 if the average rank was taken

@Tizzle I just think it should have averaged if there is only one high rank. I can understand if there were 3 or even 2.

Maybe it should be a weighted average so red ranks pull the rank down a bit more?

  • I just want to add that it's not just chase music like the patch notes imply. ALL of the music (at least survivor side, can't speak for killer) is near mute.

Low chase music, low injured music, low ambient music, low MENU music (yes, I have it at 100%), low terror radius music. I mean this ######### is so low it might as well just not exist.

In this state, the game is honestly unplayable for me. For survivor in particular right now it's really hard to gauge how close the killer is, especially while working on a generator.

I don't know how this made it through the PTB to live. Both the patches on PTB had this problem and somehow it got pushed to live??? Really??

  • @FrenziedRoach said:

I'd prefer it without the music myself, but this thread is evidence that perhaps a background music slider so that people can choose the volume for themselves would be a good idea

the music is part of game balance, it's typically supposed to be loud to make it harder to hear things (footsteps, breathing, etc) as well as give feedback as to what is going on (if you're in a chase or not, how close or far the killer is)

  • I looked through your footage a bit and picked 4 random games where you said gg

    1. At 4 hours and 9 min. You all escaped and said GG, the killer said nothing and left.
    2. At 3 hours and 56 min (the game before the last) and you were about to say gg but the killer insta left. You all escaped.
    3. At 2 hours and 59 min killer got a 4k and you said gg. Killer said gg back.
    4. At 1 hour and 58 min killer got a 3k, you escaped and said gg. Killer gives a frowny face back.

Basically I'm trying to point out that this isn't a _survivor _ thing. It's a thing everyone does. If people lose they say nothing or get salty, if they win they say gg or even boast about winning.

Most other games I checked, you died early and did not say gg because you didn't want to stick around and wait, which is fine but realize that's a big reason you don't get a lot of gg's back as killer. Because people don't wait, and normally if they do it's because they have a bone to pick with you. A killer doesn't have an opportunity to stick around to ######### talk because they're there the same game so you never see that on killer side because they...well can't.
