Reading the responses to this has just made me realise that, on average, the people playing Dead by Daylight are incredibly toxic, petty individuals. It makes me kinda regret buying the game in the first place, because everyone acts like... Well, that!
"If you brought this game specifically to have fun with your friends then you deserve to feel bad because winning is the ONLY thing that matters in this super-competitive game. You should play with strangers and have no fun for hours on end so you can git gud and EARN the PRIVILEGE to enjoy yourself in our ELITE GAME" is the overall message/vibe I'm getting here.
Don't worry Devs, you don't need to fix your game. Bugs aren't gonna scare people away as fast as your toxic fanbase...

Isn't the point of Survive With Friends to... Play a videogame with your friends?
Of which half the fun comes from cracking jokes, teasing each other or laughing at how you all suck?
Seriously, guys, it's a videogame. Not everyone is here to win, some of us wanna play with our friends even though only one of us is even semi-decent at this game. If you COULD totally ban voice chat, then this whole thing would just become some boring competition as opposed to a game.

Gee, for survivors maybe I'd go with that TV presenter person. Idk what it was, but something about her story made me sad.

The Nurse is one of the most ghost-like characters in the way her story is told. Her bio reads like a campfire story, the offerings and perks all fit that theme, too. I can imagine a bunch of people sitting around a campfire, right near an abandoned asylum, telling the story of poor Sally Smithson, the widowed nurse who went mad and killed everyone before fleeing. It FEELS right to me I guess.

Don't feel bad about just playing the game. I don't play Killer and I'm a mediocre Survivor, so I haven't experienced this, but from what I've heard, Survivors are significantly advantaged. I dunno if it's as bad as everyone says it is (it's the internet, y'all are hyperbolic as heck) but it definitely seems like something that needs attention if the game is gonna be fun for everyone playing it.

Dont get discouraged! I was terrible at this game for like a month then it just clicked. Lets not even begin to go over how terrible i was. Killer survivor it didn't matter but once i found what felt i dunno right i guess i got a whole lot better and had way more fun. i still get clowned though not gonna lie.
I agree about Nurse but i think spirit is better imo. Nurse is hard to get down but once you do you will probably get ALOT of salt lol

I think I've been pretty lucky in my experiences thus far. No killers rubbing salt in the wound and no survivors saying I need to git gud, been an overall pleasant experience, even when utterly embarrassing myself in front of friends lol

I like the Nurse 'cause she looks really creepy in a stereotypical ghost sense! She also has a really sad story. It reads like a proper campfire story, too.
I think I only ever got four kills as her once though... I'm not very good at Killer haha
Feng Min is my favourite Survivor, her default outfit, backstory and personality are cool and her perks fit my only redeemable skill (i.e.: repairing one or two gens before dying miserably lmao)
Nancy Wheeler is cool, too. Her perks are fun (idk if they're considered good by the playerbase though?) and I really enjoy Stranger Things so I just play her because she's a character I know already.
I've gotten one (1) kill as the Demogorgon but I play it for similar reasons.

I got one of the I Love The 80s outfits for Feng Min a while back and now staying hidden is basically impossible thanks to neon hair.
I don't really play to win so I don't mind terribly, since I still usually get a few generators and have a good time, even if my glow-in-the-dark butt can't hide lmao
I'm not changing outfits though, the little watermelon cartoon on her vest is so cute, and the outfit is incomplete without the hair.
I'll happily sacrifice wins for style 😤
