Oh wow that is crazy for sure... I guess I'm the bad guy - quite sad really :(
I was searching for them but they were hiding literally on the other side of the map near the exit gates where I didn't really believe they would go which is why it took so long :S

I feel like in this particular game had I just done that they still would have hid in the corner.
Like I said - I get that it sucks to be in that position but it is a part of my strategy to have a 3 gen by the end game - me afking is throwing away that effort. There were 2 of them they could have engaged with me and tried to get the gen done while I was in chase or do my ruin.
It really wasn't my intention to start an argument I feel like I should apologies for that - I just thought it was an annoying game and brought it up
I totally get that it would suck as a survivor.

You don't have to get the envelopes in order to escape + killers can get them too. I usually get one when the game starts.
If you want an unfair event for one side I point you to the winter event and the snowmen - poor ghostie mains.

I usually say ggwp after my killer games then off to the next match.
If I give a hatch and get a thank you message it's always appreciated even if I don't respond (I usually do!).

I have a lot of fun as a solo survivor. It feels so much more rewarding to win as a solo imo. Just set realistic expectations - you're gonna get potato teammates at some point or you're going to go up against a superior killer and they're gonna wreck the survivors. You just gotta laugh and have fun sometimes even when you lose.
This is an extreme example but, If I only played with an optimal swf and won every game I ever played I'd get bored of DBD within a week.

Problem with killer is that you're alone and toxicity or bm is specifically aimed at you whilst with survivor there're 4 people sharing it if you know what I mean.
I would encourage people to play both sides it's helped me calm down a bit in terms of getting annoyed at toxic players - knowing that there are toxic killers as well helps you understand why survivors do it. Turns into an endless circle of blame though and nothing will stop it imo - just put up with it and try to remember the good games over the bad as hard as that is.
edit: also don't think using perks is toxic just the behavior of players

As someone with less than 100 hours in the game, farming this event is saving me potentially weeks of grinding perks for survivor and killer. If there are at least 4 cakes, I see if the survivors want to farm (sometimes they don't which sucks because they usually finish a gen or two before I get the memo). When they do farm with me the bp is usually 120k+. I find that groups with p3 survivors are less likely to farm, maybe because they don't need the bp or something and I can understand their frustration if they just want to play normally. But to be honest, I'm pretty stoked that I'm able to get all these meta perks so quickly.
On a side note, I played survivor for 4 hours today and didn't match with a single killer that wanted to farm and the games were pretty standard.

I think it should also be said that it's not all on the killer - the survivors need to make tunneling a difficult option. Like others have said, getting someone out of the game early is a big advantage. Most killers won't be like "oh I just hooked Meg, even though she's my only option to chase right now I'll look for someone else".
Now killers who completely ignore other survivors and just zero in on one person is a different story and, yeah, it sounds pretty frustrating. Tru3ta1ent put a video on YT of him being tunneled - that's what I would consider unfair tunneling (although it is still a valid tactic).

Yeah I was thinking of going for bubba too since he's quite similar to Hillbilly. I'm worried about playing The Hag tbh because she's a lil bit slower than the other killers but yeah ruin would slow down the game a lot! I hear she's actually really good right now too 🤔

I just noticed today that there's a small amount of time where you can turn pretty sharply! (went straight into a tree lol) seems like it could be pretty good to mind game survivors. Like I'm going this way... not! - kinda deal XD
