Still not public domain it's owned by mythology entertainment it was purchased in May of 2016 but they recently dissolved you still would probably get sued since they still hold the license
Let’s settle the argument, Matthew cote isn’t dumb, if he was to get the Slenderman, copyrighted or not, he would make sure the license was in his possession to keep his company safe

He claimed to have made the original post under the alias Victor surge and he just owns the rights to slenderman
Listen man, I hate to break it to you, but that’s not correct, as a myth, the Slenderman is currently not copyrighted. He is publicly stated as an internet icon. Sony, however does come close to a license, but they can not sue anyone for using the character because of them not being the primary source. Sony has the rights to The Slender Man but not a license. There’s a difference.

The person who owns slenderman is Eric Knudsen
Where do you see that? I looked him up, he’s an actor from the movie

Someone does own the rights to him for the games and I assume the movie and maybe depending on how badly they want money could get into a heap of trouble
However, I feel like not even unity holds the license because keep in mind the original slender man game was a fan made game for the urban legend, which is not copyrighted because myths are more often than not of Public Domain. But, if I am wrong and there is a license holder or maybe there was one that recently titled himself to the Creator, either the director or unity would own it

Well then, unity is the company that’s develops the games, so they hold the license, like how Warner Bros holds the license for Freddy Kruger

I hope the devs take these ideas and hopefully make their own weird creature that these mechanics since a last of us chapter won't happen sadly. :(
Yeah, I mean I could honestly care less if it is the last of us which it won’t be ever probably but I hope perks / abilities like these or something similar come out soon, and I’m very surprised there is not a pallet exhaustion perk yet, so I made one

And it's fresh and interesting for dbd.
Yeah.

Who owns slenderman? I mean if they just outright do you'll find legal trouble somewhere
Also wouldn't a flashlight be mandatory for him? Since every game with him in it has one on hand?
Currently, there are two types of slender men, movie and video game. he does not have a specific creator being a legend, but if there was a licensing problem, the director of the movie would definitely be in possession of the license, or maybe unity but that’s small.

The clicker could have a unique way of seeing the world, just like the blind survivor minds eye in identity v:
To be honest I was thinking about something like that but I never mentioned it because I thought it would totally get turned down because they cannot see at all. And that is a very good idea

Actually I might have an idea myself.
What’s your idea?

The ideas are great but the Clicker is blind so how would this be brought into dbd?
(In a scenario that a last of us chapter would happen).
Upon making the chapter ideas, I completely forgot they were blind, and I remembered halfway in and honestly just never changed it, I honestly just love the design and fear factor of the clickers themself and didn't want to throw away the concept. If you know what I mean here.

The last of us is a PS4 exclusive. Sorry but this will never happen unless they ported the game onto other platforms.
I wasn’t expecting them to add this, I just wanted to share a fun little idea with others. I appreciate you’re sorry though

The Last of Us is just old school Leader and Prove Thyself combined but better . Might wanna change it a bit
I actually thought about that, thank you for the feedback

I don't really know. As I remember the clickers couldn't see, so it would be really dificult to transport into the game. Also killers are unique people, not one of a zombie species. Wasn't there like a kind of boss fat zombie?
Well, I hate to go against your word about the unique people thing but this idea sprung to me because of the demogorgon. He is the first non human killer and it opens more opportunities like this one. And I think there was a fat one yes
