Anyone reading any good Horror Novels?
I just started Reading one called Aliens: Bishop, which continues the story of Bishop the android after Alien 3. Weyland Yutani finds a way to reconnect/rebuild him somehow.
And with Bishop being my favorite character (next to Analee Call) from my alltime favorite franchise, i didn't hesitate to buy it when I randomly found it in a book story. Never know things like this exist unless you go looking.

I do really like Grady Hendrix, He does have quite a bit of slow burn horror movies with slight feminist themes. And he did a podcast confirming he does do his research.
I think he is a good author to support.
My two favorite by him are a southern book clubs guide to slaying vampires & My best friends exorcism.
But if you like more actual Horror Horror Clive Barker is always a great choice. even his non horror books are psychologically thrilling
John Dies at the End is pretty good, once you get later in the book you'll have to reread through stuff in the first half because you'll find out certain plot points that weren't there before. The book does have some immature humor but aside from that the series can get pretty horror like. The first book is more action/horror based, the second book goes full into horror, and the third book, is a bit of a mix
This book is full of spiders (second book in the series) probably has some of my favorite horror sequences that are actually scary to read lol.
Honestly its my first time realising Clive Barker does Novels too lol. I've seen most of his movies, enjoyed a couple of his games (undying / Jericho). Might start looking into his novels lol
They are fantastic, he even does a fantasy novel that is a must read. Weave world
On the note of Fantasy stuff, I read a whole trilogy from Jay Kristoff called Stormdancer, which was kind of a japanese steam-punk theme. After reading that I got a few of his other series lol and im still reading all the Gotrek & Felix warhammer books
Reading the description it does sound like my thing with some anti capitalism and fighting ecological damage. Also the covers are fantastic and I do infact judge s book by it's coverš¤£
