We Can See Our Teammates Perks. The Game Start Screen Should To Change.

When the match starts it is still just see the survivor with that slow half spin and the HUD with the name of the map displayed on the screen temporarily.

Most of the time I forget to press TAB and look at my teammates perks.

There is already a temporary element to the match start (displaying the name of the map) can the survivor perks be added to that so we don't need to press TAB? We wouldn't have to remember to TAB we could just look.

I think this would be a great improvement.

  • i dont want perks showing in lobby, but i would like some point in time to have like 10 seconds to be able to view what perks are in play so im not having to take precious seconds at the start of the match to read perk descriptions. tho tbf i rarely care about other peoples perks.

I don't want them visible in the lobby either because it would lead to more lobby dodging and people would have a hard time getting David adepts done.

I know the spin at the start of the match isn't 10 seconds but it would give a chance to do a quick skim. I'd be looking for the perks that matter most like Deliverance, Background Player/Flashbang, We'll Make It, Head On, that sort of thing. The rest usually doesn't matter that much.

I don't take a good longer look at the perks until my first time on the hook, and that's only if I remember to. Spoiler: Usually I don't remember.

Edit. Damn it's already been moved to Feedback and Suggestions. May as well have not made the thread.

You can already do that during the spin just hit tab and you can look at the perks while the spin is going.

I just stated that you can do it and if you forget to hit tab you will forget to check the perks too anyway even if they would be on the screen that about four seconds the panning lasts.

  • A lot of people I know forget this is even possible when I watch them play, so I can see where OP is coming from honestly.

  • I think having the perks display next to survivors’ names in the opening spin would be a nice change, although I think this problem would also be somewhat solved if, like I saw in another post, they added being able to communicate one of your perks in the comm wheel. That way your teammates don’t necessarily need to remember, you can tell them when it’s relevant. You get hooked and have Deli? Just let them know. Teammate is lurking for the flashy save but you have DS? Just let them know

  • They should display during the pan in and during the loading screen as well.

I don't think perks should show during the loading screen because players can shut down the game without penalty before the game loads in. If some survivors see No Mither or green perks or whatever they shut the game down and everyone else gets sent back to lobby.

I think loading screen issues are rare enough now that the DC penalty can be enabled for loading screen disconnects. In the past it was a bad idea because of legit crashes on loading but those are pretty rare now and since you get 1 "grace DC" it should very rarely ever be a real issue to have it enabled.

Unfortunately they can't tell the difference between a loading screen game crash or someone using the Task Manager to shut down the game (or powering down a console). They might never penalize that and they should never need to, as currently there is no reason to ditch on the loading screen now that map offerings are nerfed and hidden. So why give players a reason to DC on the loading screen by showing the builds there?
