Got a random question if anyone can help me please. If I purchased a chapter I already own what will I receive instead? Will I receive Iridescent shards, or will it just be a case of receiving nothing?

You get the dlc exclusive usually. If you buy a licensed chapter or a original characters pack, there's always bonus rewards exclusive to those who bought the character's with actual money.
What is the reward for owning duplicate chapters ?
Uhh, I guess none. Can you even buy a chapter a second time?
You can unlock the characters in game with auric and still buy the DLC in Steam.
then you would get the DLC exclusive cosmetic/charm/badge and banner. Personally, id think that's worth the price
I maybe thought the characters you buy a second time would convert into Iri shard.
