Aim Assist

Bro give me the option to turn off aim assist. Aim assist has to be the most useless and the biggest hindrance in this game. Ain't no way somebody should move right once walk forward and aim assit tries to track it that hard and miss. Let me turn it off. I've never once in this game said "Thank god for aim assist"

It’s officially called Aim Dressing, and it can steal hits from the killer.

The game can forcibly yank the killer’s camera, and forcibly forbid a killer from making a lunge attack, based on proximity checks. The problem is these proximity checks are completely separate from the hit validation checks, so the game can forcibly cause the killer to miss an attack, because it changed the killer’s attack before confirming a hit occurred.

Interesting. I've never heard of this or experienced it, but it sounds like a pain

You’ve probably experienced it, but didn’t know aim dressing was literally stealing hits from the killer.

If you ever try to lunge attack a survivor, and instead your camera gets yanked and you immediately hit an object instead, even though you were lunge attacking and therefore weren’t supposed to have collision with objects, then you were wrongfully affected by aim dressing.

Are killers supposed to be immune to the environment when performing a lunge attack? I've never tried to lunge to slid across a wall/surface, I usually hit something. The camera pulling I haven't experienced. If I did it was very minimal. Not saying this isn't an issue, just something I've never noticed.

Killers are not supposed to have weapon collision during a lunge attack, and this makes it much easier to attack a survivor that is looping around an object.

This happens mostly on m1 attacks where you swing on survivor and theres like sharp corner on the loop like some box sticking out a little or wood plank and your m1 attack hitbox connects with the survivors hitbox and game thinks its hit and trys to connect it but there is some object between you two and it makes you basicaly hit the object instead to lead you your m1 attack and hit survivor, there are many proofs for this happening and it steals just killers hit.

Another proof thing like this exist is survivors spin techs that mess with killers m1 like making the game thing the lunge will hit but then quickly moving out and killer will swing into nothing, they arent guarantee but can be very annoing especialy when you held your m1 for bigger lunge and survivor just spins and your character just short swings its so irritating.

I dont think its full aim assis like the one ghoul has or krasue on her infection splashes but its just how hitboxes work in DBD and things like crouch tech exist and other techs and things, but the m1 issue is bad and has no counterplay you swing into survivor and suddenly your character hits some object on the loop.
