Are the turret damage values on the latest developer update a typo?

per the March Developer Update Posted today: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/game-info

  • [CHANGE] Increased delay before the Xenomorph’s heat starts to dissipate to 15s (was 1)
  • [CHANGE] Decreased the Xenomorph’s heat dissipation rate to 2/s (was 25)

if these are correct, if you got 100 turret damage, it would take 65 (15 for it to start, 50 to actual decay) seconds for it to decay, unless it's 1.5 seconds and 20 charges per second respectively

  • Yeah I hope so, cause if they aren't they completely murder Alien.

That's the point. They nerfed both his power to make it more dodgeable, but then also went around and made turrets stronger so weaker survivors can use them effectively.

The tail was already easy to dodge.

As for the turret change, this just means they are practically removing crawler mode from the killer. They double dipped on the tail nerf, since being unable to effectively use crawlermode means not even having the tail as an option.

Sounds to me that they are giving xeno the sm treatment - make them so terrible that no one would dare even touch picking up the killer until they get around on doing some sort of redesign.

  • This seems as another change, where killer wasn't really too strong, but survivors simply didn't enjoy playing against him.

  • This seems like a stupid change. Like let's say you have some flame progress build up and just finished a chase.

In this scenario it would be the optimal play to run into a flame turret and let it knock you out if crawler mode, because it is faster to just re-enter crawler mode than to wait for the flame progress to die down.
