How hot would the campfire be?
So I remember someone talked about how the campfire on the main screen is used to change the trials survivors and the killer toss the offerings into the fire. But how hot does it have to be to burn all that now let's say the offerings burn during the loading time and let's give it about maybe 1:30 to load in that gives the campfire a minute and thirty seconds to burn everything to ash. While yes it is just a game and this is a magical campfire let's put it into a more realistic perspective where it can't burn it up instantly now let's go with offerings that aren't paper or plant(so the oaks survivor blood point offerings including letters) so now let's throw in these offerings for the killer's they toss in a mori any old mori that's a human head on a chain. For survivors let have them throw in a coin, the airlock doors(Nostromo offering) Vigo's jar of lips, RPD badge most of these offerings have metal the jar has a lid possibly made of metal so if they all toss those offerings in at the same time and the campfire has a minute and thirty seconds to burn it up how hot would the campfire need to be to burn basically metal human bone and flesh and glass to ash.

The Entity is All Seeing, All Knowing etc. It’s her realms that she creates and holds full reign over.
I always imagined that The Entity just knows what is offered, and then chooses to accept. So offerings really don’t need to be completely burned before the start of the trial to be granted their individual effects.
She’s just pretty generous in that sense, imo
Never seen anyone give the Entity a gender before not that I'm complaining most people I guess refer to the Entity as it since you never full see it other then just spider claws.
Hot enough to melt the steel doors for the Nostromo map.
Just imo, maybz The Entity’s neutral or a dude, idk
Anyway, the campfire would probz have to be around 1700°-2200°F to melt any of the offerings (especially RPD badge and such) in the 45sec to 1min loading screen timeframe.
At those temps tho there’s not much chance of Survivors being able to stand that close w/o starting to cook😄
Now mix in the wards since they seem to be carved into the survivor/killer's hand unless they just have a bunch of severed hands with them.
The Entity has a poor understanding of how the worlds work. This is reflected in the maps and the strange, disjointed forms they take. It only has the most rudimentary knowledge of this.
My guess is that the fire remains constant in heat, but is influenced moreso by the memories of the Survivors which, in turn, influences the fire.
Incase you wonder how the Entity look like
The campfire is hot, but not as hot as shirtless Jonah.
The actual answer is warm. Thats about as far as it goes; it's capable of burning offerings, sure, but it's described as "being unable to burn survivors" and only being warm to them.
In technicality, the Entity is an "it" but is referred to as a she since in french (aka the language of the devs who made DbD) theres not really an "it" and is usually replaced with "she"
who said it needed to finish burning before the trial? it's in the fire, the entity accepted it, so it takes effect.
the entity realm's is basically infinite, so no reason to take the characters back to the same campfire.
Yeah, kinda similar to the Alien discussion last year.
The consensus summed up Alien to be an IT, although “she” was runner up.
I do prefer referring to The Entity as a she. For whatever reason, it just feels right imo. Certainly don’t want to speak wrongfully of what Entity’s actually considered, tho. Just knowing all that power and what we’ve all been enjoying all these years is the creation of a female life form is satisfying.
Probz better to be saying “it” but there’s still that bit of leeway thanks to the French language☺️
