Can you improve your reporting system?

There has been a huge increase in cheaters recently. I encounter one daily now, both on killer and survivor, where previously it was once a month. I play on console. I have to report the player in game, clip, export clip, file report, attach clip and send. This is over 5 minutes of work.

  1. Why don't you have an anti cheat system in place like any normal game?
  2. Why don't you improve on the current system, esp. for non PC users?

  • Unfortunately staying on top of cheaters and hackers is not an easy task for any modern game developer, you say to just have a anti cheat system like any normal game, but obviously those games like any other have cheats and hackers too. Indeed dbd has a system, but cheaters come back they always come back, its an industry and mad players want to pay to cheat. This is why modern anti-cheat is a ongoing effort fighting until the end of days.

What improvements would you suggest to the current system tho?

  • The replay feature is a key to making reporting a hacker easier because the game provides you with video proof, but as dev already said, the current engine dbd is not able to apply such a feature, so its a dead end.

Manually record a video; manual report

  • I don't know if it was a bad coincidence, but after I encountered a potential cheater yesterday (interesting knowledge of where people were after hooks, even without aura or other information perks), the game crashed right when I pressed the report button. 🤔

And our precious Switch cousins? Their ability to record their trials was removed like two years ago, in the name of "improving game performance." So they cannot provide any video proof. What should they do to successfully report anything?

I know the frustration with current report system, me too.

I play on PC but If our video doesn't clearly show a speed or teleport hacker, the report is often not followed up (did not get ban).

Hacker not always running with flash speed tho, sometime walk hack sometime increase their movement speed slightly.

At this point it feels like they have no system in place and everything has to be reported manually. I imagine that there are common "cheats" people use meaning the same code/program. Once one hacker is caught, the system should scan for people using that program/code.
