Blast Mine Doesn't Work

Description: The perk Blast Mine does not work. The perk will charge up over time while working on a generator, but when fully charged, you are not given the option to place the blast mine on a generator.
I've only had this happen once, during my first match since the alien update went live.
Shown here, blast mine is fully charged. I have been working on this generator for upwards of 15 seconds (perk was fully charged already when I started) and I am not given the prompt to place the blast mine.

They changed it, you have to get off the generator and be near it to install the trap. I think it also uses the other ability button now.
When did that happen? I didn't see it in any of the patch notes. The only thing I saw about it was that it can't be placed on a gen with 0 progress.
Yeah it wasn't in the patch notes but they removed the part from the description about needing to be on the generator for 3 seconds to install the trap so I'm 99% sure it's intended. They did the same thing with Wiretap.
Ok I tried it out in another match. Yep, that's how it works now. That's such a weird and unnescesary change and I'm wondering why they did it.
Nevermind to this report I guess.
I think they did it because that's how Chemical Trap works and I guess they wanted all of them to work similarly. After all they nerfed Wiretap from 33% to 50% for the same reason.
It feels so clunky now
Boy I sure can't wait for gen tapping to also include installing Blast Mine, that won't get very grating very fast.
Also I noticed that the gen doesn't highlight in yellow anymore.
