What if we were rewarded for using non-meta or less perks?
Had a dream where you would get more bloodpoints based on how many and which perks you were using
Like a survivor with 0 perks would get a 16% bonus bloodpoints, while a survivor with 2 perks would get a bonus of 8% bonus blooodpoints
And using green perks would grant 2% extra bloodpoints, while certain perks like adrenaline, ds, whispers , ruin would reward 0% extra bloodpoints
For one side new players would get a little help, while veteran players could still get more bloodpoints if they changed their me
Would you like this in game?

Yes and no. It’s a great idea to try to get people to use some non-meta perks. But the people who have maxed out characters will just get to keep using their meta while the casual people who need BP will use weaker perks to get bonus BP and as a result get dominated even more
No I wouldn't. I try not to use meta perks after the rank reset. And i still have fun without getting extra rewarded for my own choices.
The issue with this is even this wouldn't make people run non meta perks the only way to fix that is to rework outdated perks to make them more viable
Maybe each week when the Secret Shrine refreshes, perk values could shuffle around. Each perk displays with a little tag showing the bonus bloodpoints you get by running with it. Somewhere between 0% - 25%.
It could be programmed so that the weaker perks see the 25% more often, but every perk has a chance of getting 25% for that week. It could be universal, like The Shrine, where everyone see the same bonuses for the same perks (could be troublesome though) or it could be local, like daily rituals, where each player gets a unique, random configuration for that week. This local option might be the best way to get a better mix of perks being used out there in the games. Now that I think about it, there could even be unique mixes per-character!
I’m not sure if we need to provide bonuses for empty slots, but that would be fine either way.
I have no idea HOW they would do this.
This is something I've had in mind for a while. BHVR knows the perks that gets used most. Anything under the 40% use threshold gets some kind of bonus. A twist could be a perk randomizer, while in the lobby, to get a BP bonus.
Using "non-meta" is a nice idea until you ask the question: who determines what perks are meta?
This is too subjective and fluid to be worth programming into the game.
Probably the best thing you can do is setup a perk bounty. I've always said that the Daily Rituals are a way for BHVR to "encourage" people to play the role that is lacking. Of course I have no evidence of this other than my anecdotes. But perhaps every week BHVR will assign a perk bounty that gives a blood point bonus (maybe 50% or something) when you use a certain set of perks.
All in all I don't think it's an elegant or necessary solution.
Incentivizing the Use of less perks makes more sense. You're intentionally depriving yourself of a benefit, so you should get "more experience" out of it. Though I doubt BHVR will ever give more XP in this game, more BP wouldn't be a bad thing. Like, maybe an extra 10% BP for each perk slot and Add-On slot that's empty.
How bout making useless perks useful instead of rewarding players for playing with useless perks?
They could just make the 4 perks on the shrine each week give +25% bloodpoints.
It wouldn't guarantee non meta perks, but it'd shuffle things up a little each week.
It'd also be 2 per side so you wouldn't feel forced to use ONLY bonus perks and not use anything good.
Extra BP for using less perks is a feasible idea. Extra BP for using "non-meta" perks less so because what is considered "non-meta" is something that could theoretically change on a whim.
Would be annoying to be losing games because team-mates were running nonsense perks.

The 'less perks' part already exists for Survivors. It's called WGLF, which does nothing but reward you for playing sub-optimally and running one less functional perk.
