Shortened Loops and Map design
So if I remember correctly BHVR wishes to shorten the loops sizes across the board. We can see this with the new map where a lot of the pallets are surrounded by fairly short loops. By itself im actually fine with this change. However, we then run into the issue of bloodlust. If a vast majority of the maps are updated with these shortened and less safe loops, I believe the the bloodlust mechanic should be great nerfed since the killer will no longer need it to kill survivors.
Of course right now, since most maps haven't been updated as far as i know, bloodlust is... ok.
Map Design in General:
Lets take overwatch for example. On most maps there will be walls that lucio, genji and hanzo can hop over. All maps will have sniper perches. All maps have relatively open area where reinhart can charge. Maps have places for Wreaking ball to swing. All characters can be played on all maps without being put at too much of a disadvantage or advantage.
However, in DbD, maps like cornfield are great for killers like billy, and maybe huntress. But on indoor maps like game or lery's, they are great for stealthy killers but kinda suck for billy and nurse. I think BHVR should really make sure that all maps have at least some areas where any killer can shine. Wide open areas for billy to zoom around and for nurse to blink. and tight corridors for bubba and stealthy killers. But also have high ground for balanced landing and other perks.
