Solid Idea for Fixing Loops

The way to help shorten loops in the game without redesigning the maps would be to give the survivors a blue stain when they run. That way the killer can anticipate their movements better around obstructions and walls and end it.

  • That's a bad idea, because now it's impossible to juke the killer.

This severely nerfs survivor ability to loop, AND utterly destroys juking, which is hard enough to do as it is.

i.e. -- you just took away every tool the Survivor has to survive.

  • Eh, the problem with that is unlike killers, survivors couldn't hide their stain.

  • What about us colour blind people? This would be tremendous and really help. The thing we've been begging for for years now. Every game so far has a colour blind option. Why doesn't this?

  • Also, would it follow the player’s camera or the survivor’s face? The 3rd person perspective could make this trickier to implement than it is for the killer.

Giving survivors a blue stain for color blind people is a bad idea.

It just unnecessarily punishes all survivors in the game. They should implement actual color blind mode options.

Though to be honest I'm not sure I'm on board with that idea either. If color blind options give people with normal vision an advantage, it sort of becomes ripe for abuse. I'm all for inclusiveness but sometimes you have to accept that your physical condition isn't the best for certain activities.

  • unless its an infinite looping shouldn't be a problem; break the palette, run spirit fury, pressure them to the unsafe loops first, or just go after someone else because wasting your time on one survivor just guarantees 3 gens to pop.

  • Chasing for beginners: if mindgaming is above your pay grade don't bother, just chase straight, don't respect palettes, break them as soon as they drop, they will run out sooner or later and then the entire map becomes a lot easier.

  • That's how you make people play in the most boring way possible for both sides - simply running from pallet to pallet and dropping it early, or just humping the strongest/least mindgameable structures as hard as possible. Because if this was implented "right" it'd just make jukes and losing the chase a truly unrealistic option.

Mindgaming and juking is the last thing you want to nerf if you want chases to be interesting and fun. When both players participate in them that's chasing at its best.
