DbD still running after exiting it

So, dbd was always the game which took like minutes to completely close (well the window closes early, but you still hear the main menu sounds and a quick look at taskmanager shows dbd still running for a long time).

However, since months the game just won't close. It's still in the taskmanager running and also in steam it's saying it's running. I waited minutes and hours and once I left it for a whole day and still was in the taskmanager. I HAVE to force close it. Why is it happening and still not fixed? It pissing me off.

    That is a strange bug report and sounds like its just taskmanager
