3 Killer Monty

With an average of four survivors being added each year, that's also an average of a dozen new perks. Since they each have their own specific use, and no major correlation, would it be terrible to add say... three random killer icons at the top of each lobby, (one of which is the REAL hosts' killer choice) so the survivors can then decide the best perks they wish to use?

As a gamble, it could prove entertaining to both the killer, (when the survs will undoubtedly choose poor perks 66% of the time) and exhilarating to the survivors who come better prepared with odd-ball perks they wouldn't otherwise normally use. This stems from my curiosity about certain one-off perks, that when used on rare occasions really pay off, but are otherwise pretty useless, such as Calm Spirit. Effective on a few killers, Calm Spirit can really be great, but on 80% of the other killers doesn't really serve a purpose. This will also give more love to the perks not chosen 90% of all games, adding diversity once again.

For those fidgety hosts out there that change their killer in the lobby - the three revealed icons would ALL randomize, effectively hiding the change (instead of just one icon changing, respectively).

  • I'm sure there'll be some who don't like it, but to me this sounds like a fun and entertaining way to diversify perk setups. There's a reason gambling is so addictive, after all.

  • For me it just sounds really wonky and would probably mean survivors would dodge quite a lot of lobbies if they saw an icon of the killer they dislike (i mean, why risk it when you can just que again)

  • they see spirit? DC because 33% chance for spirit is too much for them to handle.

they see nurse? DC just like above

they see traper? saboteur and bunch of toolboxes and perhaps small game - 33% chance for way easier game by sabotaging all his traps.

They see ghostface? Time for spine chill, no stalking on my watch.

It sounds like a good idea but unfortunately, at least in my opinion, it's not.

  • I think it's a decent idea, as it makes more perks like Calm Spirit or Small Game more useful when part of them only applies to one or two killers.

You could get dodging if, say, the three icons show Nurse/Billy/Spirit, but no more than killers already dodge this, that and the other thing.

That said there's nothing to stop a killer having a loadout readied up on their killer and last second switching, though same as the point above, that's kind of a taste of the other side's medicine.
