Hex:Ruin/Barbecue & Chili
So with these two perks becoming available for everyone, it’s getting to a point where 9/10 games I play as a survivor have them being used by killers. This is just adding a repetitive overtone and give no diversity for any match whatsoever. These perks come up so often, you might as well just make it a part of the game indefinitely. Admittedly, I have no love for playing matches with these perks involved, but I do understand there are ways to counteract them, such as with Barbecue and Chili you can just hide in a locker whenever a person gets hooked. However, Hex: Ruin is entirely up to mostly chance and a bit of skill. This also means that the only counter action here is to become better at getting great skill checks, which isn’t all too terrible but the amount of skill checks that hit you during that time is quite a lot in some cases. For example, working with another survivor we must’ve had maybe ten checks within 30-40 seconds and the set back from each great check missed almost out the generator back at the beginning.
So here’s my suggestion. It seems like currently there aren’t enough secret offerings to be had so I would like to suggest a new offering that allows someone to be impervious to hexes on any kind. Starting with an uncommon type only affecting one survivor and the more rare it gets the more survivors it protects. Of course, this can also just be an item as well, like a charm or relic to ward off hexes. That way the killer can see that the survivor is using a hex-cancelling item and act accordingly. Also, to help with Barbecue and chili, I believe the exposed affecting should took on a new name, like weakened or something, and the new exposed effect should be more about notifying survivor of when their aura is seeable.
Just a thought! Thank you for your time.
