Bloodpoint ideas for Survivors and (specific) Killers
With all the talk about the game's grind, and a lot of complaints about how much of a hassle getting bloodpoints can be, I sat down and thought about ways to increase bloodpoint gains for Survivors and for certain Killers who struggle to get a high bloodpoint count, as well as some more general Killer bloodpoint changes that affect the entire roster.
@Peanits I hope the big BHVR broskis like the sounds of these changes.

-Significantly increase the amount of boldness points gained for the "Bold" score event
-Move the "Chased" and "Escaped" score events to the survival category
-Increase the value of the "Distraction" score event to 300
-Increase the value of the "Protection" score event to 500
-Add a new boldness score event "Dodge" (300 points) for causing the Killer to miss a swing while in a chase
-Move the "Cleansing" score event to the objective category
-Move the "Killer Stun" score event of Head On to the boldness category

The problem with making big lists of specific changes is that there's nothing to be discussed. What's the theme? What's the over-arching goal? If there is none, then there's no reason to change anything. If there is, then why isn't that the topic being discussed?
The theme and goal of this thread are very clear.
The theme is bloodpoints. The goal is creating more opportunities for bloodpoint gains.
In what way could that be made more apparent?
Well this is like someone being asked why they like money and instead of talking about what they can buy with it, they just emphasise money as the goal in of itself.
Why do bloodpoints need to change? Nothing is said. What do all the suggestions have in common beyond increasing bloodpoints? Nothing is said. Why are the category switches being suggested, what is the overall purpose? Nothing is said.
People complaining about the grind doesn't mean increasing general BP gain is a solution; the complaints are varied and are discussed, not all are valid or sincere. There is a history of certain players(let's call them 'S.vors') requesting BP rewards and even emblem-point recognition for actions which are not directly relevant to what they did.
One unwanted consequence experienced by other players(call them 'K.lers') is they have to endure the point-farming that always results, and the behaviour it encourages. So there is a vested interest in 'K.lers' checking that such changes are justified by square-edged reasoning.
"Well this is like someone being asked why they like money and instead of talking about what they can buy with it, they just emphasise money as the goal in of itself."
This sentence does not make any human sense to me, so I'm going to ignore it.

If you'd like to question it, then question it. I will give answers when questions are asked. These are suggestions to be discussed by those who choose to discuss.
Nothing needs to be said here. The intentions are clear-cut; this is not a situation where you are in dire need of my reasoning. If you find something questionable, you question it, and I will answer to the best of my abilities. But until then, I feel no obligate need to explain myself.
Now, to answer your questions:
-Bloodpoints need to be changed because the amount earned by the average player is pitiful when it comes time to contribute them to bloodweb levelling and Perk grinding.
-They don't have anything in common besides increasing bloodpoints, save for rewarding different playstyles or utilizing your Killer's power in different ways—though that is a by-product; an unintended side effect.
-The category switches are being suggested to take the bloodpoints that go towards categories that become comparatively oversaturated in terms of bloodpoint gains and distribute them more evenly across the four categories—specifically, by moving the gains to categories that usually end up dry at the end of a match.

Except for the fact that increasing BP gains is objectively the most surefire way to reduce the sheer painstaking-ness of the grind, especially for Perks—which is something that many players take issue with.
"One unwanted consequence experienced by other players(call them 'K.lers') is they have to endure the point-farming that always results, and the behaviour it encourages. So there is a vested interest in 'K.lers' checking that such changes are justified by square-edged reasoning."
The BP changes I listed clearly indicate events that transpire as a result of either being a good Killer or a good Survivor who can effectively utilize their abilities. You can try to swing your way into certain BP gains or go for an unnecessary score event, yes, but these changes facilitate effectively doing your job/using your power and there is little to "farm" here.
In all honesty, it sounds to me as if you don't want to discuss anything I said, and would rather I do the discussing for you.
