matchmaking frustrations
can someone with insider knowledge with regards to the current matchmaking system explain why it insists on queueing me into killers from other regions (i'm from NA, many of the killers i get are from EU) when i know there are killers around my rank in my region currently in queue? from what i remember reading it's supposed to be based on geolocation, so it doesn't make sense that i'm running into so many EU killers when there are NA killers in queue
additionally, why do i get sucked back into the same high ping lobby several times in a row? i left that lobby because the ping was spiking from 100 to 300 to 650, no i don't want to go back 3 times only to leave again. this seems to be a more recent development since i don't remember this happening before the newer matchmaking system was put in place, and i do not understand why it happens. if i leave a lobby, it's a pretty good indication i don't want to be immediately brought back

Maybe they are from your region.. just that they're the kind that's playing Dead by Daylight at your local McDonalds restaurant? Not everyone's playing on an amazing internet connection.
they aren't from my region, i'll play the game out and check their profile and they'll be from like germany
It could also be that they've been waiting for a game so long that their lobby will start picking survivors from all over the world, which would makes sense in why you end up in their lobbies.
that doesn't make any sense, there is no shortage of survivors in europe
Their current system forces survivors into killers as "its their turn to get survivors" no matter what.
Funny thing is that I also get NA survivors when I play in early hours during work days. Today I played 11 games as killer in 7am-1pm and most of the games in first few hours were only vs NA survivors.
