Any Trapper mains that can help me out?

I've been looking at Trapper as a killer I'd enjoy to play, but he seems slow and cannot cut down on long chases. I can't seem like I can get around passing rank 11 these past few days, and I think I would enjoy some tips from other Trapper Mains.

    But to be serious try running this build, it's been working for me for a while. Idk what to say for trap placements. It's kind of something that comes from experience. :/
