Early game mechanic
Hello everyone, i just had an idea about new mechanics for the early game (by the way, sorry for my english) :
- At the start of the trial, during X seconds (90 maybe), generators are blocked and fog becomes thick. A survivor can't be saved from an hook, but he can't go into phase 2 : his timer doesn't decrease over the time. Moreover, hex perks are disabled until the end of the Early game.
- If everybody is hooked or at the end of time, fog returns regular, hex perks are activated (if there are still totems) [if you have 2 or more hex totems and there is only one totem left, i guess killer could choose during the lobby what hex perks is prioritary)
During this phase survivors could open chests or cleanse totems for exemple to avoid some hex perks. Killers as far as they are concerned could just take some hooks (4 max). This new mechanic could prioritize secondary goals for survivors (maybe destroy ruin before it turns on) and this could help the killer to take an advantage if he catchs any survivor.
Here are the issues :
If 4 survivors are hooked is the party over ?
Survivor haven't so much things to do -> this mechanic helps killers more than survivors.

Eh, I think the best way to counter Gen Rush is just a scrap mechanic. Gens start at 75% hp. They can't be repaired above their HP. Kicking a gen removes HP as well. Survivors can destroy windows, sabotage other generators, destroy pallets, cleanse totems, open chests, search lockers to find scrap.
While repairing generators, scrap is consumed from your inventory to replenish the Gens health.
