Some ideas to make the game feeling better
Hello,
Not a native english right here, so i'm saying sorry before you read.
I'm playing Dead By Daylight since 2 weeks only. I'm watching a lot of streams saying the same :
- Community being aggresiv
- Some perks are too strong or some perks are too bad
- Some killers' power being too strong
- People abusing of camp and tunneling
- T-Bag
- Bugs
I- Community being aggresiv :
It's not something that is only on DbD, but I still think their is something to do on that point, their is 2 principals reasons to thats attitudes; first the no friendly attitude between survivor and the attitude of survivors to the killer or the contrary. We can't do a lot for misunderstanding between survivors, talking in a chat for a game of cooperation is too much important, even if it's before the game start.
But at least, I don't see any reason of talking after a game with the ennemi, when 90% of the time it's for flaming, or reproching missplayed. Maybe a button for saying "gg" to the killers that played good and fair versus you, but no need to litteraly talk with him.
Same for information about the gamer tag of the killer, only here to push the survivor to add a negativ comment or flame him on his account or add him to make the same.
I'll suggest a suppression of this possibility of chatting at the end of the games between the survivors and the killer and also an anonimity of the gamer tag. (The killer can't see the name of the survivors and survivors can't see the name of the killer).
II- Some perks are too strong or some perks are too bad
This is not the most important, but I really think it have consequences on the gameplay.
Having 25% of the perks much better than the rest is sad.
At the contrary, some perks are too good, and make the game a bit random.
For exemple :
"No one escape death" is too good and "Agitation" is much useless and unplayable (You don't need moovement speed when you carry survivor, because their is hook everywhere).
"Dead hard" is really good and "Delivrance" is not interesting (as phase 1 you have a lot of chance to get save before dieing)
Same as "Hex : Ruin" is not too good or too bad, it's just an anoying perk.
All i can suggest on this topic is a rework of a lot of perks and litteraly new perks for some survivor that don't have any good (Adam).
III- Some killers' power being too strong
My main exemple here is the nurse, I'm not the only one thinking that having this type of teleport on a killer is purely insane. (Spirit tp is counterable, nurse isn't very easy to play arround).
Personnaly I think that Hag is a bit too abuse too, you just can pressure everywhere on the map, chasing a survivor at a place, and tp to another right after is too strong. I'm really curious about Hag, did she get created for camping killers ?
Anyway I think some killers are just fine, like The Cannibal, not having an abuse mobility and strong if he is enought nerby.
So all i can suggest is a big changement on the nurse and the Hag that will make them still having strong point but here they are too hard to counter.
Same as Plague add-ons, their is too much making her insanly unplayable vs.
IV- People abusing of camp and tunneling
One of the main reason that the game is not going well and why a lot of people are talking bad about the game; well in fact a reason to praticly every bad thing happening in Dbd.
The first thing that made me sad about DbD was that the term "TryHard" was negativly used; personnaly, i love tryharding in a lot of game, thinking about strategy, cooperate, communicating about builds etc...
The fact is that DbD is not made for complete tryhard. From a certain point of vue, focus is a strategy, but in DbD it's actualy too good and ruinning some survivors gameplay. I think it's sad that 2/4 survivor are getting fun and the rest is just crying that the killer killed them 3 time in a raw.
I think tunneling should deffinitly not be possible. So what about the killer can't kill 2 time in a raw the same survivor, or at least during 1 minute, exept if the survivor is nerby of the killer for 30 seconds. (Just saying numbers, their is some test that need to be made before)
For the camping, it's one bad thing too; nothing interesting in staying in front of a hooked survivor.
How about the killer can't stay too much nerby of the survivor that is on a hook ?
V- T-Bag
Simple thing to do here, limit the spam of the sneak option. Nothing much can be done about it.
VI- Bugs
Here it's dev job.
VII- Any random ideas
If you keep the Hag power like it's actualy, maybe limiting the mark to be positionned too much nerby of hooked survivor. (Hag will certainly put the down survivor on the flow, put her mark and hook, but anyway it's still an idea).
Well, it's all my opinion for now, after 2 weeks of playing DbD. Hope some people will think the same.
Make sure to give you point of vue under this post, as it's commented properly it's welcomes.

Some of these will diminish as you play the game like, some perks not being useful. Most of the perks have potential, they just aren't as good as meta perks.
Other than that you have an idea of what dbd players have to put up with.
Tnx for your answer, yeah as I played only 2 weeks, didn't had the notion of perks meta, you should be right at this point.
