What to expect from Freddy's rework
So I've been playing a little bit of Freddy thanks to the new matchmaking system and I thought... What do we know about Freddy's rework?
First of all I want you guys to know that all this information came from the DbD Gods themselves and their streams. Nothing is said in stone, just like Mclean himself said. Also devs know that it's not fun to play as/against Freddy and that's the main reason why they decided to go for a rework, not because he is a weak killer.
- Mclean talks about how instead of being able to see the survivors auras when they are asleep, you can see them either when they are awake or when you are sleeping someone (most likely the second one).
- He also talks about how he wants Freddy to be stronger each time he drags someone into the Dream World and how the Selfcare wake up thing would be removed or at least be tonned down a lot.
- Freddy could also be some kind of Myers character in which you should build up your power in order to use it and get the max benefit from it.
- The last thing we heard about this rework is that "it's being tested" so we might see it in a month or something like that.
Maybe the devs could provide us with a little more info or something like that and make a stream and let us know that they are still alive... It's been really quiet these last months...

They need to leave Freddy alone. I’ve prestiged him 3 times and he’s level 50 again and I’ve actually kept count a few times where in 10 matches I’ve had 1 or 2 escape in the hatch and the rest die. His main weakness is the hatch, if you hook the 3rd person and they die with the last one awake 9 times outta 10 they escape because you don’t have time to put them to sleep before they jump in. Unless you leave the 3rd one on the ground and wait for the last to come get them up but I don’t always have the patience for it.
