The long queue i experiencied was 20 seconds.. i prefer a long queue with people of my region with nice ping than a 1 second queue with 800 ping..
Either I get fast lobbies at my rank range but high pings, or after a long waiting time finally find a good ping but with all lower ranked teammates. I don`t know if it is because not many people after the rank reset manage to higher up, or the new matchmaking system having some problems.
The long que times are because of the tweaks they made over the last couple of weeks. Que times were fine before that. I get longer que times for killer, but rarely for survivor, until now.
I stopped playing, will wait for them to figure this crap out. All my matches as either are vs crazy level differences or high pings.

Well some survivors have experienced 20 min+ queues as SWF, at least if you can trust the forum posts (probably exaggerated, but still)
Now they'll have experience 20 min+ as SWF, because of red pings.
Quit and wait 5 second → Make a new room and invite others → Start matchmaking → Meet red ping killer → Infinite loop :'DD
